Chapter 63 Chika Walks Along the "Southern Riverbank"
After coming home from school.
After quickly finishing the studying she needed to do, Chika logged into "Fantasia World."
"Well... I think I’ll head south today."
Lately, Chika had been exploring mainly the "Western Desert" area, partly to earn some money. Having grown tired of traveling through dry land, this time, she began heading in the opposite direction, towards the waterlogged "southern wetlands."
"Wind Sword! ...Well, I’ve already been violated by slimes, so for now, let’s just head straight to the next field."
"--!?"
Since the exploration took place during the daytime, while dealing with the slime that was hiding and trying to attack without any problems, Chika moved forward without hesitation. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
She encountered some slimes along the way, fought them off, and continued on for a while. Chika arrived at the next field, "Southern Riverbank."
As for the location, a large river, about 30 to 40 meters wide, flowed through the middle of the field. Bridges of various sizes were scattered here and there, connecting the left and right banks.
The river was only about ankle-deep near the riverbank, but the area around the center was so deep you couldn’t see the bottom.
In this game, "Fantasia World," there was a setting where you’d drown if you didn’t equip your gear with an ability called "Water Aptitude" when operating underwater. With Chika’s current equipment, it seemed certain that she would drown if she went in carelessly.
Also, there were ponds everywhere on both banks. The field was absolutely drenched in water.
"So this is what it’s like... Let’s try going further for now."
After gazing blankly at the large river, Chika started walking in the direction the river was flowing.
"If there’s a river, does that mean the ocean is up ahead? If it’s the ocean, are there krakens and octopuses? If there are, there’s definitely going to be a tentacle event, and I’d love to be attacked by them..."
Chika was walking along leisurely, lost in thought, when she suddenly heard footsteps and turned her gaze in the direction of the sound.
"Heh heh... there’s quite a cute girl here."
"And she has huge breasts and a big ass... What an incredible, sexy body for a beautiful girl. This is a jackpot. Hehehe."
"Hmm..."
There were two men there, each with a lecherous look on his face. His attire suggested he was a man who had been fishing. In fact, the names displayed above their heads were exactly what they sounded like: "Fishing Man Lv6" and "Fishing Man Lv5".
However, once that message appeared, he was both a fisherman and an enemy monster. Perhaps because of this, the two fishermen looked at Chika with eyes that seemed to lick her face and body, and finally, one of them slowly took out a knife from his pocket, presumably for gutting fish, and raised it to his throat.
"Hey, little girl. If you don’t want to get hurt, you’ll have to do as I say."
"Heh heh... Well, if you obey me, I’ll make you feel good. Heh heh heh."
"...Haaah"
Two men brandished knives and threatened her. However, Chika’s reaction to that was rather indifferent.
"Hmm... I don’t think it would be any fun to just obey right away. Alright, let’s turn the tables on them."
Given Chika’s sexual preferences, it was plausible that she would succumb to threats and end up being raped. However, that didn’t mean giving in without any reason or resistance seemed right either. It wouldn’t be exciting.
Chika turned her attention to the weapons she had discreetly tucked into her pocket.
"...’Flameball’!"
"Whoa!?"
"Whoa!?"
And then, the next moment. A ball of fire flew past the two men with tremendous force.
"I won’t miss the second time... Stop saying unpleasant things and get out of my sight...!"
"Ugh, wow!?"
"Whoaaah!?"
Chika responded defiantly. The two men ran away in a panic. Chika turned her gaze back forward once she had watched until the figures were out of sight.
"Honestly... Come on, attack me in a way that will make me feel even more humiliated... Alright, let’s go."
Even if she voiced her dissatisfaction with the two of them now, Chika started moving forward again.
And then she moved forward a little. A pond, some distance from the river, came into Chika’s view. Its size was about 20 meters in diameter.
There were several other ponds of varying sizes nearby, and the ground was filled with water, resembling a wetland. And, as if covering those numerous ponds, a circular line of shimmering green was drawn across the ground.
"What’s that? Is some kind of event going to happen? I wonder what’s going to happen...!"
Chika walked closer to it... and as she passed the glowing green line, suddenly, something resembling a bullet of water was fired from the pond.
Chika dodged the attack at the last moment, and as if that was the trigger, those who had attacked began to emerge from the pond, splashing around.
"Kapa, kapapaa!"
"Kappaaaa!"
"Kapa, kapapaaa!"
"...A kappa!?"
What appeared was a humanoid creature with green skin and something resembling a plate on its head... it was a kappa.
"Kapapaa!"
"Kapa, kapaaa-pa!"
"Kappa kappa!"
"Kappa Lv21", "Kappa Lv20", "Kappa Lv20".
As the level was displayed, the kappa began firing water bullets from their mouths at Chika and attacking her with the fins growing from their arms.
"Hmm... ’Wind Sword’...!"
Seeing that, Chika immediately shifted her focus to combat. She cast a spell.
"Kapa...?!"
"And... next, ’Thunderbolt’!"
"Snap!?"
"Kapapaaa!?"
First, she used a fast magic spell to intercept and kill the kappa that was attacking with its fins raised. She dodged the next water bullet and then used area-of-effect magic to take down the remaining kappa.
"Hmph..."
"Kapapa..."
"Kapa, kapa"
"Kappa"
"Kapaaaaaa..."
Chika was about to take a breather when... more kappa kept appearing from the pond. Upon closer inspection, kappa were also emerging from other nearby ponds, and there were at least twenty of them, making a considerable number.
"This... might taste a little bad...♡"
Defeating it itself was not the problem. However, with such a large number, that might not be the case. The thought of losing kept flashing through her mind. Chika, with her cheeks flushed, went into battle.
