Orderly and functional.

That’s what Fengyu felt when he looked at the image in front of him -

The image of a huge gash had stopped changing between skin and fur.

Instead, what Fengyu saw was the process of a huge gash being healed. From the initial disinfecting and cleaning, to the healing, and finally the last step he called ’purifying,’ the step in which he cleared the body of all the troubles caused by the rapid division of cells.

The image was extremely orderly and changed right as he completely healed the artery. It hovered in front of him for a moment before entering his body and going all the way to his middle dantian.

Fengyu could only vaguely sense this image when he called it out, the middle dantian inaccessible and incomplete for him.

The image was different from the image formed through his years of Raising Ducks -

The Duck Egg Inspiration increased the effects of spells cast on ducks by 100%.

On the other hand, this healing image... he decided to call it the ’Orderly Recovery Inspiration’, was different.

His mind tapped it and activated it -

Instantly, an illusory light flew out of his hand, falling onto the open wound in front of him.

The illusory light spread all across the wound and stopped where the body ended...

Looking at it, Fengyu combined his knowledge and the information he got from the inspiration, understanding its function -

’This is like an injury scanner and gene reader combined with a funnel. It enters the body of the person I tell it to, and instantly inspects the injury, then reads the genes and constructs a model around the injury, creating a visual model of how the injury should look. Then, I can directly use my healing spells, directing them at the visual model. The model’s function here, as the funnel, is to lead my healing spells right to where they have to be!’

An expression of shock couldn’t leave his face no matter how much he tried to compose himself -

This was like having a constant perfect body model right in front of you, not a generalised model but a model fitting the person right in front of you. You only need to choose the correct spells and fire them, and the model’s funnel function will lead the power to enter the body and the recovery process would formally start.

You can constantly compare the current state to the perfect model, changing spells or directly interfering, starting anew...

’Wait, this inspiration... it feels less like a help and more like a perfectionist’s dream...’ Fengyu suddenly felt helpless.

It was a help, a great help... but it also increased his workload by a lot!

Even if he closed his eyes, he couldn’t forget the mistakes he had left on the artery...

A new round of healing followed...

A month later, now the eighth month of recovery, Fengyu had finally completed the healing fully!

He told Lu Fang to go and rest while he himself checked the inheritance for any knowledge of Inspirations, for he hadn’t understood why the effect was different than what was described...

As he looked through it, he found a ’folder’ of information regarding Inspirations. The folder right away stated that the person opening it should have already awakened an inspiration and started learning a Transcendental Art. A person who had the former but not the latter might be influenced in their choice of arts for superficial reasons, and a person who had the latter but not the former... didn’t exist, or at least it didn’t matter. Having taken in poison once, a bit more won’t matter.

Fengyu had both, so he read the information. It contained some things he didn’t understand, but one point, what he was looking for, was described clearly -

< Inspirations come in three types. The three types are [Passive], [Active], [Domain]. Passive Inspirations are active the whole time - their effect is usually lower but they require no cost. Active Inspirations have a greater effect but each activation has a cost. Domain Inspirations are either active or passive spells but they affect more than just the cultivator who awakened the inspiration. Each of these three types has various ways they work - some active inspirations seem no different from spells, others are manifestations, and others can even be consumed. >

He read further into it and saw that while there were only three clean cut types, there were various expressions. Looking at it, he tried to guess which expressions his own inspirations had.

"The second stage is called refinement..." this sentence repeated several times in Fengyu’s mind, but he couldn’t quite make out what this meant.

"Never mind, what’s the point of thinking so much? Reading this information was enough already. My Orderly Recovery Inspiration is clearly an activation-type inspiration, with the expression being Manifestation. I activate it and it manifests in the form of a small visual model which also has the function of a funnel.

As for my Duck Egg Inspiration, that one’s even easier. There are fewer expressions in the Passive Type Inspiration than those in the Active Type Inspiration, but there are still several. The expression of mine is ’Target Effect Increase’, this expression specifically increases the effect of spells on the fixed target. In my case, the target is ducks. This expression is more focused but the effect is also a lot stronger than general spell effect increasing inspirations!"

Looking at his two inspirations, Fengyu was very satisfied with both of them!
