Fengyu was stunned when he saw this, a sense of confusion washing over him – did he reincarnate again?!

But just as he stared at them, he suddenly felt an immense pressure emanating from them, pushing him away!

Currently, he was in the northeast – but the correct way to describe this was that they were in the north.

The east gate had five hundred fields in the southeast and five hundred fields in the northeast.

Going further north, geographically this should be the jurisdiction of the eastern gate, but he had just passed a sign telling him this was the area of the northern gate!

So he was north-northeast, and in this region, somehow, there were dozens of these half-beast cultivators going around!

He really couldn’t wrap his head around it, these cultivators were so close, so why did he never see them when he was in the eastern gate?

Even though he wasn’t there often, with the close proximity, it should be normal for them to come here even for just the small matters regarding the city hall.

No one would go to the headquarters except for those living right next to it or those that have higher requests.’

He could understand everything but was still confused about why there were so many half-beast-like cultivators, a kind of cultivators he had never seen.

Walking up to the city hall, he decided to enter it and see what this was about!

The buildings were smaller and there were fewer receptions, but there were also a lot less people, so he walked up to a reception.

"How can I help you today?" the cultivator opposite the reception, the receptionist, also looked like a furred creature! The characteristics of beasts were even more prominent, with basically a humanoid beast body, unlike those who looked like humans with a few beast parts.

"Hello, I’m a citizen of the eastern gate and entered the northern gate for the first time. This sight of many beasts surprised me, so I wanted to ask what this is about?" Fengyu didn’t hesitate and openly asked his question.

The receptionist, looking like a hamster, was surprised for a moment before smiling and explained, "Fellow daoist, you likely never bothered to really look into the distinction of the city beyond the eastern gate, so I can happily explain it to you –

Among the four gates, the smallest is the southern gate, followed by the eastern gate. While they are extremely small, they hold special value because the peaks to the east actually spread all over to the northern gate’s range, truly covering the whole eastern part of the city. The south can be said to be similar, though there is generally no danger, so it doesn’t matter much.

Unlike the smaller eastern gate that only has a total of ten smaller gates, the northern gate has a total of one hundred smaller gates!

Thereby, we have established districts between the gates – this is district North – East 1, there are 25 such districts. Then there is North – Northeast 1 to 25, North – Northwest 1 to 25, and finally North – West 1 to 25.

The largest population in the north are basically these. Northeast and Northwest are the two gates with many fields under their banner, but they’re also closest to the Great Gate, so they are a mix of farmers, crafters, entertainers, and also have various smaller trade centres. Here, most people are human, but it’s not uncommon to see Spirit Beasts living there.

Outside the North – East districts 1 to 25, the fields are mostly of lower quality and spiritual power is poorer, so instead of establishing fields are larger but don’t really enjoy the protection of the peaks, or rather, the beasts attacking from the north will rush to this part, making it another battlefield only slightly less than the eastern and northern battlefield.

So the tribes that reside here are... Half-Beasts!

We are tribes that were born between the interactions of humans and beasts, resulting in being ’humanoid beasts’ as many have described us. Our path is different from beasts and we’re also different from humans –

Initially, we had no foundation in the Myriad Beast Mountains, but when the Spirit Beast City was established, it invited us into its force, making us true members, even giving us a whole district –

When the city was just founded, we didn’t even have enough people to fill the districts, and many times humans complained about opening up these districts for humans... but the city rejected them time and time again, until we finally grew to what we are today!"

The hamster receptionist was carried away and even told their story, but Fengyu didn’t mind, as he was quite curious.

So, the city had such cunning from the start!

They were able to fill the city regardless, giving away 25 districts... that was as much as 2.500 fields in the east!

But thinking about it, one could see the cunning behind it.

By giving away these fields, they gain a unique force standing out from other forces, but most importantly, they clearly give beasts outside a way, telling them, "If you fall in love with a human, don’t worry, just enter our city and we’ll welcome you with open arms!"

Spirit Beasts would gain human form when they reach the third stage, meaning every cultivator that entered for this reason would be a couple of third-stage cultivators!

Why would they insist on keeping a bunch of rumble when they can have such high-ranking cultivators?

Fengyu was curious and continued asking the receptionist about the rest of the city.
