Chapter 151: Speaking with Beasts
"Haha, junior’s enthusiasm is very good indeed." The cultivator chuckled again, then looked at the jade tablet on his table and asked, "It’s written here that you have partially formed your Spiritual Inspiration for healing, which is quite good.
My plan would be to make you an assistant to a doctor-" the cultivator made a plan, thinking about first hiring this guy and then properly registering him.
"I’ve already awakened the inspiration fully!" Fengyu interrupted, unwilling to become an assistant and waste time doing things without earning anything. Although he could learn a few things from a more senior doctor, after all, he would likely not become an assistant of a Foundation Building cultivator.
Learning from a cultivator of his own stage would not be as effective as simply learning a few more spells. So, to prevent wasting time, he’d directly expose his accomplishment.
"You’ve already awakened it?" the cultivator was surprised but accepted it quickly, "Can you describe it for me and tell me what kind of inspiration it is?" he asked.
"It’s an inspiration oriented at healing wounds of the body, and it’s a True Inspiration." Fengyu explained.
"A True Inspiration? Very good. Hmm, body wounds, that’s very general." the cultivator nodded but still wanted to see for himself what it was.
He tapped on his tablet a few times as he explained, "I will ask a few patients to be sent in for a test. Could Doctor Fengyu test them and heal them to see whether it’s possible to heal them?" his address changed already, seemingly believing Fengyu and really just wanting to see what kind of ability it was specifically.
Fengyu nodded in agreement as there was no issue.
Seeing the confirmation, the cultivator tapped a few more things and completed the setup.
He smiled and said a few casual words, to which Fengyu also replied casually, until they heard a knock on the door.
Knock
"Come in," the cultivator said.
The half-beast attendant from before came in again with three patients behind him - two beasts and a half-beast, which was a horse beast, a wolf beast and a panther-like half-beast.
"Fellow daoists, this is a newly recruited doctor. You have been told that this healing will be free, so please cooperate with the doctor." the attendant explained, seemingly to Fengyu even though he looked at the beasts, then told them to line up in the open space.
"Doctor Fengyu, please." the stripe-robed cultivator gestured.
Fengyu nodded and stood up, walking right to the beasts, starting with the horse.
"Hmm, you have a leg wound, but it’s mostly flesh and muscle. Although your bone is exposed, it’s a rather simple treatment." Fengyu directly took the leg into his hand while looking at the wound.
"Neighhhh" the horse neighed in response to the pain.
"Hey, it’s just a bit of pain, don’t tell me that this actually hurts." Fengyu said casually while continuing to inspect the wound.
"Neigh, neeiighhhh!" the horse exclaimed.
"Oh really? It hurts sooo much?" Fengyu scoffed and inspected the wound clearly, seeing that it was a bit dirty but not infected, attributing it to the strength of this beast.
Turning around, he saw the shocked expression of the cultivator. Calming his expression, the cultivator asked, "You can understand this horse beast?" 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"Oh, yes. I have a talent that allows me to understand beasts!" Fengyu nodded in agreement - he hadn’t interacted with other cultivators for such a long time, that he actually forgot him speaking with beasts was considered not normal.
"Don’t you see Zimu there?" Fengyu suddenly pointed to Zimu, "Why would I walk around with a beast if I can’t even speak with beasts?"
Any cultivator could clearly feel the sign of a contract between human and beast except when concealing it intentionally. So the cultivator should’ve seen Zimu already...
"Hmm? This beast... its presence is so low, I actually didn’t pay it any attention!" the cultivator was surprised again, carefully feeling the duck that landed on the chair on its own after Fengyu rose.
"Quack, that’s not my fault!" Zimu complained, simply being used to cultivators not talking to it, so it was surprised about this guy’s reaction too.
"Haha, little duck, your innate ability or maybe your body itself has a very low presence, which makes cultivators naturally pass over you!" the stripe-robed cultivator explained.
"Quack? You’re spouting nonsense. If you really looked at Fengyu, you would also see me. You’re just too busy in your mind with other matters, so you don’t pay close attention!" Zimu complained again.
"Alright Zimu, don’t be like that. Aren’t you also quiet the whole time?"
"Quack!" Zimu just quacked without any meaning, acting like he didn’t hear it.
Fengyu smiled wryly and shook his head before turning back to the horse in front of him, ignoring the scene behind him.
"Alright, let’s heal you!" he said taking out a flute from his spatial bag.
He waved his hand and pushed a white light onto the wound. Instantly, the white light expanded from a sphere and created a perfect model of how the leg was supposed to look.
Fengyu observed it for a moment before nodding, no longer delaying the healing!
His hands moved and his mind churned as he spoke the words -
"Vitality Recovery Spell, Recover!"
"Wood Recovery Spell, Recover!"
"Recovery Fusion Beam Technique, Fuse!"
"Fwuuuuu~"
Two spells combined into a beam which flew over to the model and entered the funnel’s distribution system, evenly healing the whole wound!
A few moments passed as the wound visibly recovered.
Fengyu felt a drain on his spiritual power, but the drain wasn’t much, so he continued casting the beam.
As the wound healed, he saw a few mistakes appearing with his heightened perception and experience, but he didn’t do anything about it and waited.
When the wound finally was about to close up, he stopped, leaving a skin wound open.
Taking out a small blade, he used his spiritual power to control it and cut off a small part that healed improperly.
The process was so fast that the horse barely reacted when it saw a small green veil forming over its leg.
"Alright, healing done. Just wait a bit for your wound to scab!" Fengyu said with a smile, not realising the shocked expressions of those around!
