Chapter 1085: Chapter 1085: She’s Divorced Now

Leaving Christopher Turner alone in the living room, Sophia Wood went upstairs to find Alice Turner and Lily Turner, the two sisters. The three of them met on the second floor, chatting casually and harmoniously without Christopher’s involvement.

Because of Thomas Fisher’s arrival, peace was finally restored on the Turner Family’s side, but over at the bar, his appearance stirred up hidden tides and quite a few waves.

When Thomas Fisher arrived at the bar, Benjamin Shaw was already drinking alone in the private room. Seeing him come in, Benjamin paused his drinking momentarily, but didn’t stop for long. He raised his neck and gulped down the contents of his glass.

"Third brother! That’s not fair, drinking alone without waiting for me. Are you planning on hogging it all to yourself?" Thomas Fisher closed the door to the private room, striding over. He didn’t hesitate and bent down to sit next to Benjamin Shaw.

Benjamin Shaw didn’t speak first but poured a glass and handed it directly to Thomas. "You were late, so punish yourself with a few drinks as you see fit."

He didn’t forcibly shove the glass into the other’s hand but held it, waiting for him to take it himself.

"The usual rule, three glasses!"

Thomas Fisher reached for the glass Benjamin offered him, without bargaining with his third brother, he downed the contents in one go.

After finishing the glass, he responsibly poured a second one and again emptied it in one gulp. He didn’t cut corners with the third glass either, drinking it swiftly and smoothly.

"I haven’t drunk so much in one go for a long time. Refreshing!" Thomas Fisher leaned forward and placed the empty glass on the table in front of him. After three consecutive glasses, he needed to take a break.

Benjamin Shaw glanced at the empty glass just placed on the table and didn’t push Thomas Fisher to drink more. He toyed with the glass in his hand, his eyes seemingly inadvertently gazing at the person beside him, "What have you been busy with these days? You seem quite busy."

His gaze kept going towards the person next to him, with an expression hard to read.

"Busy with nonsense at the company." Thomas Fisher sat up straight against the sofa, looking very casual as if nothing unusual was happening.

Though his mind was starting to fret, his demeanor showed no sign of anything amiss.

Benjamin Shaw glanced at Thomas Fisher before gulping down his drink. He swallowed, then asked, "I heard from Aunt that you found a girlfriend. True or false?"

He placed the empty glass on the table, sat up straight to lean against the sofa, sitting side by side with the person next to him.

"Did my mom call you?" Thomas Fisher didn’t answer Benjamin Shaw’s question but tossed a question back.

Benjamin wasn’t bothered in the slightest and nodded, "Aunt called to say you found a married woman and she’s worried you might be fooled. Aunt asked me to talk some sense into you."

"Is what Aunt said true? You shouldn’t be that muddle-headed, right? Why choose a..."

"She’s divorced now." Suddenly interrupted, Thomas Fisher spoke. There was no hint of joking or insincerity, his expression was serious.

She’s divorced now!

The image of Alice Turner flashed through Benjamin Shaw’s mind. He tilted his head and blurted, "Is that woman Alice Turner?" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

As soon as these words were spoken, the air around suddenly felt static.
