Benjamin Shaw spoke vividly, but Thomas Fisher didn’t believe a word of it. He truly didn’t believe Alice Turner was that kind of person.

Understanding someone isn’t about hearing from others but feeling for yourself to see who they really are.

"Third Brother! Don’t say that anymore because I won’t believe a single word of it." His tone was firm, his attitude even firmer, and his heart was unwaveringly convinced of Alice Turner.

"It seems you’ve really been brainwashed by that woman to the point where you don’t even believe me anymore." Benjamin Shaw was shocked, and with that shock came anger. His expression grew even darker as he wondered, "What on earth did that woman do to you? How did she confuse you so thoroughly in such a short time?"

He frowned at the person beside him, face full of doubt and confusion, yet his eyes burned with anger.

Seeing Benjamin Shaw repeatedly disparage Alice Turner, Thomas Fisher’s mood soured. His gaze towards Benjamin became unfriendly, "Third Brother! Do you think I can’t tell right from wrong?"

Doesn’t he know whether a person is good or bad? He’s not a three-year-old child.

"I’m not saying you can’t tell right from wrong; I’m worried that you’ve been deceived by that woman." Being misunderstood by a good brother left Benjamin Shaw feeling less than happy, raising his voice as his mood soured.

Squeak!

At this moment, Ryan Taylor walked in, just in time to catch Benjamin’s words. As he shut the door behind him, he asked, "Thomas getting deceived by a woman?! He’s more likely to deceive women, isn’t he?"

Once the door was closed, he walked towards his two good brothers.

After arranging to meet Thomas Fisher, Benjamin Shaw made calls to Ryan Taylor and Easton Holmes. Despite this, all three of them were fashionably late.

"Second Brother! You’re falsely accusing me; when have I ever deceived women?" Seeing Ryan Taylor suddenly appear, Thomas Fisher wasn’t surprised at all.

Whenever there’s a drinking session, all four would definitely show up. Now only one is missing, but he trusts they’ll appear soon.

Ryan Taylor sat down not too far to the left of Benjamin Shaw. Once settled, he noticed Benjamin’s expression was quite ugly, and puzzled, he asked, "Aren’t you out of the woods? Why still the gloomy face?"

Earlier, when Benjamin had called Ryan to join for drinks, he’d mentioned the reason being he’s now free of trouble. Seeing Benjamin’s long face, Ryan was bewildered.

"Ask Thomas." Benjamin Shaw passed puzzled Ryan over to Thomas Fisher, leaving him to seek his answers there.

Upon hearing that, Ryan Taylor became even more puzzled, shifting his gaze from Benjamin to Thomas Fisher, "Thomas! What on earth did you do to upset your Third Brother so much?"

Although unaware of precisely what happened, Ryan could sense Benjamin’s current displeasure. He deduced from Benjamin’s remarks that it had something to do with Thomas.

But what exactly transpired between these two? Why do their emotions seem so out of sorts?

"I’ve fallen for Alice Turner."

Thomas Fisher glanced at both Benjamin Shaw and Ryan Taylor before finally fixing his gaze on Benjamin Shaw.
