Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1159: You Two Are Not Suitable for Each Other
"Aunt!"
Hearing Alice Turner’s voice suddenly come from behind, Autumn York swiftly turned to look behind her, and the moment she turned around, she immediately saw Alice walking toward her.
Just thinking about how to go in and find Alice, unexpectedly meeting her here, Autumn York took a step forward and walked toward the approaching Alice.
"Did you just come back from over there?" As the distance between the two shortened, Autumn York awkwardly asked a question to break the silence.
"Hmm." Alice Turner softly hummed in response and then asked, "You must be here to see me, right?"
She didn’t need the other party to answer her, because she had already guessed the answer in her heart.
"Do you have time now? Let’s talk." Autumn York didn’t foolishly reply with a yes, instead, directly stating the purpose of her visit.
Talk? That word was used rather politely.
Alice Turner wasn’t so naive, not naive enough to think Autumn York just wanted to chat casually. She quickly swept away the distracting thoughts in her mind and nodded, "I have time."
Even if she didn’t have time, she would take a leave to go talk with his mother. If she didn’t talk to his mother now, his mother would find another time to talk with her.
No day is better than today; since they already met today, there was no need for her to dodge anymore, and she didn’t want to suffer any more torment.
"Let’s go, just follow me later." Autumn York didn’t waste any time with Alice Turner. After speaking, she turned to walk toward her car parked nearby.
Seeing this, Alice Turner dared not delay, immediately returning to where she had just gotten out of her car. The moment she saw Autumn York, she knew the other had a matter to discuss with her, so she casually parked her car there.
Once in the car and seeing his mother driving toward the roadside, she immediately started the car and followed her.
About twenty minutes later, the two cars stopped in front of a teahouse.
Familiar with the place, Autumn York got out of the car and led Alice Turner to a private room on the second floor. Coming to the teahouse for tea was merely an excuse; discussing matters was the real agenda for today.
After the waiter finished brewing the tea, Autumn York immediately had him leave and personally poured a cup of tea for Alice Turner.
"Try it! The tea here is very good." She placed the filled cup of tea in front of Alice, and then she poured a cup for herself.
"Thank you!"
Alice Turner wasn’t really someone who loved tea, much less in the mood to savor it now. Whether she was not in the mood or not fond of tea, out of politeness, she thanked and still picked up the cup.
She took a small sip as a gesture and put the remaining half cup back on the table, straightening up to look at his mother sitting across from her, "Aunt! Please just say what you want to say."
Looking at Autumn York, Alice Turner bluntly shifted the topic away from the tea and addressed the main issue, feeling tormented inside, to the point that even the most delicious things in front of her would feel tasteless.
Talking with smart people is indeed effortless, no need to rack one’s brains over convolutions.
Autumn York drank the tea from her cup, put it down, and then looked at Alice sitting across from her, speaking straightforwardly, "I don’t agree with you and Thomas being together, you two are not suitable for each other."
She didn’t waste words; she went straight to the main point.
"Is it because I’ve been married before?"
From the moment Alice Turner saw Autumn York at the company entrance, she guessed what Autumn wanted to talk about, so the words didn’t come as any surprise to her.
