Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster
Chapter 1015: Duplication And Dreams
"Sure."
Giving someone a skill nowadays wasn’t difficult in the slightest, so Rael went ahead and transferred Sloth. Except he went ahead and duplicated it so that he didn’t lose the skill when sharing it.
In the end... 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
<You’ve shared the skill: Sloth (Duplicate)>
<Notice!>
<Duplicating Skills will...>
<You’ve rejected the debuff: Skill Duplication Stat Reduction.>
<Every skill you duplicate retains 100% of its effects!>
"This is a very impressive skill, Master. Though, I noticed you’d much rather I use the name Rael. Do you hate formalities?" Megatron asked.
Rael shrugged. "It’s not that I dislike formalities, but I just never had that big of an ego to really give a shit about them. I’d much rather hear simple sentences than some intricate formalities tailored to buttering my biscuits."
Basically, he just didn’t like aristocratic language. Therefore, Rael didn’t elaborate further and just took a few steps back, allowing Megatron to do whatever needed to be done.
Thankfully, he had very high intelligence, so after just a few moments, Megatron closed his eyes and then abruptly vanished.
Yet his presence had clearly returned to time, which also meant the odds of him having entered the Dream Realm were very high.
So with that in mind, Rael went ahead and removed his control over time. Then he exited the bathroom, and with a slight smile on his face, he came back to Lilith, who was a little surprised to see him.
"What’s up?" he asked, sitting down.
She let out a chuckle. "I guess I didn’t expect you to be back so soon."
"Soon? I was gone for about 30 seconds. I guess my speed is not just for show, huh?"
"You’re monologuing," Lilith said, then leaned back slightly. "Rael, you know, I had a thought. What if there wasn’t a single bit of mana in the whole multiverse? Other realities too. How would life be like?"
Rael raised a brow. "Uhh...? Well, I doubt it would change much. Those who have cool equipment would rise to the top and beat the others, while the weaker people would have even less of a chance to fight back."
Basically, it would be like Earth, before all the awakening bullshit. He didn’t dislike it per se, but he was far too powerful now to even consider a downgrade. So of course, if she went ahead and tried to ask him to do it, he would gladly refuse.
But from the looks of things, that wasn’t her intention at all.
"You know, I’ve been talking to Uriel a bit. I heard he had gone through his... Well, some kind of transformation recently. Apparently, he had gotten some kind of inheritance," she said.
Rael nodded. "Right, his Angelic Period. I remember Solenne mentioned it. So he’s fine now? An inheritance too, huh? I wonder what kind of inheritance would allow him to even get a fraction of the power that I could give him."
"You do know he rejected your power, right?" Lilith sipped on some tea. "Near the end of the war, he had severed the connection with you, so whatever power you have now, he doesn’t get any of it. So yes, the inheritance probably means a lot to him."
With that, she turned her head to the side and talked about something other than Uriel.
"You know, I’ve been thinking that my father would continue running this place. Rather than being afraid of him dying, I was afraid of the workload."
"Pfft... That’s a pretty messed-up thing to say," Rael said, barely holding back a laugh. "What? Do you want me to summon a couple million constructs to help you with the menial tasks?"
She nodded right away. "Yep. Hehe. I don’t mean to use you, but sometimes using your husband for stuff like this is valid, right?"
"You can use me however you want," Rael replied with a shrug.
Then he went ahead and snapped his fingers, causing millions of constructs to appear in the sky above the clouds, somewhere demons wouldn’t be able to spot easily.
With their memories already pre-installed, Rael snapped his fingers once more and dispersed them. Naturally, Lilith felt all of this, and she also knew he wouldn’t half-ass something like this, so the constructs would likely spread throughout the entire Demon Realm and take up the tasks that needed to be done.
Granted, the Demon Realm was pretty self-maintained, since the only thing it required was a powerful ruler to rule it from the sidelines. The logistics were usually handled by the Noble Demons, but considering that most of them were bums, Lilith planned on changing the law so that instead of powerful nobles, the capable people were allowed to run things.
So bit by bit, the constructs would become useless, probably. Until then, though, she planned on utilizing them to their utmost potential.
Smiling to herself, she sipped more of her tea and observed Rael’s behavior. He was the one person she could never truly read, since he just had so many personalities. Which one was the main one?
Not that she minded, of course. She had fallen for him, and that meant every single one of his personalities as well.
Rael coughed once in embarrassment, wishing he hadn’t read her outer thoughts. He was a bit happy though. Just a little.
"You’re smirking a little too widely for someone who hasn’t even taken a single bite of food yet," she said.
"Ah..." Rael glanced down, realizing he still had a full plate. "True. Sorry. I was a bit sidetracked by some thoughts."
And those thoughts were about how Megatron was doing. Rael had made sure to steer him in the right direction, but not being able to communicate was difficult. After all, just what was Megatron doing?
Was he having trouble? Was he ruling over the Dream Realm? Perhaps he was being too hasty, but still... He did hope that this could be resolved soon so he could witness the birth of his children happily.
Welp.
Enough sad talk — he needed to focus on this date.
