Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 1485 - 1465: Water Blade
"Go!"
With a shout, figures moved in the silence, and six shadows swiftly headed north, assassinating anyone with even the slightest scent of blood along the way.
From a variety of weapons and coordinated attacks to eventually employing various poisons and firearms, they employed every means for swift battles.
Luo Qianqian’s hands were enveloped in a dense white mist. Luo Shufan, observing from behind, was astonished. The mist boiled on Luo Qianqian’s hands like it was simmering. She cautiously took out a Small Jade Bottle, used a dropper to drip something onto her hand, and in no time, the white mist turned into black mist before slowly fading into a faint green hue, a color nearly imperceptible but exuding a sense of danger.
Luo Shufan shivered slightly and retreated, avoiding the cold aura emanating from Luo Qianqian’s palm.
"Whoa."
With a slight upward lift of her palm, the mist swirling there burst like a water balloon, cascading down to form a waterfall of white in front of Luo Qianqian.
The smoke drifted into the woods with the wind, spreading swiftly yet without any sign of oddity, even carrying a hint of fragrance.
"Roar."
An uneven sound emerged from the forest ahead. Luo Qianqian raised an eyebrow and winked at the group: "Success!"
However, she dared not move just yet, as there were still remnants on her hands, and she feared turning her companions into fools. What she had dripped was a deadly poison concocted by Mo, but it was an experimental product.
It targeted the mind, mixing Illusionary Beast crystal core powder and Poisonous Beast crystal core powder, making the ingredients both precious and rare.
"Dead?" Mo nearly had his ears pricked up, his spiritual power relentlessly following the sound, as he took his experiments very seriously – they were crucial for determining future evolutions.
He never expected that the Spiritual Beast in there had truly died.
This Spiritual Beast exuded the strongest stench of blood they’d encountered so far, so if these as yet unseen ones couldn’t endure, the Exotic Beasts previously taken down by other means were out of the question.
And the Spiritual Beasts along this journey undoubtedly paled in comparison to Luo Qianqian’s former opponent, the Bloodthirsty Demon Lion.
"Seems like I can use less of the crystal core, but don’t forget to use less..." someone muttered to themselves, and Luo Qianqian had no idea what he was muttering about, but she remained still.
Soon, Mo looked at Luo Qianqian with a conflicted expression: "I’ll go in and take a look, you all stay here."
With that, he leaped into the woods and emerged moments later with two Spiritual Beasts in his grasp, lines of frustration on his brow.
"They weren’t killed by my concoction; these two seem to have died from fright," Mo gestured at the expressions of the two Spiritual Beasts, slightly frowning. Their bulging eyes and slightly agape mouths unmistakably testified to their deaths by shock.
But what could possibly frighten two Exotic Beasts to death simultaneously?
"I’m not convinced," Mo said, looking at the two with grievances, trembling with anger, yet helpless. As he grimaced at the lifeless Spiritual Beasts without a single struggle, he unexpectedly wore a mysterious smile: "If it doesn’t work once, I’ll experiment ten or a hundred times!"
"It’s okay, we can take our time," Luo Qianqian warmly admired Mo’s spirit of exploration, looking at him with a gentle smile.
Meanwhile, Luo Shufan and Yan, observing from the side, both displayed brotherly affectionate smiles.
The difference being, one was clearly doting, the other was clearly disdainful.
As he threw down the deer-like Spiritual Beast, it promptly opened its eyes and shot towards Luo Qianqian, then turned towards Mo with a mocking smile, a layer of water shield rising on its body.
"Bang."
A violent crashing sound echoed. Upon collision with Luo Qianqian, one was thrown, only stopping after hitting a tree and snapping it clean, while the other fell, coughing up blood, scrunched on the ground, its little tail still wagging, evidently different from ordinary deer.
Then, the seated little deer directly spat out a Water Blade.
The Water Blade spun in the air, rushing towards Mo with thunderous momentum, entwined with silver lightning. If that Water Blade landed on Luo Qianqian, even if she didn’t die, it would cripple her.
"Watch out!"
With a loud shout, Luo Shufan saw the seemingly adorable little deer actually out to kill, disregarding his own lack of skills, he charged towards the Water Blade. However, he underestimated the speed of this seemingly inconspicuous Water Blade, and before he had time to intercept, the blade had already torn through his clothes, continuing onwards.
Baili grew anxious, but before he could make a move, the Water Blade had already struck Luo Qianqian.
"Slash!" 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
The sound of the blade slicing through fabric left Luo Qianqian’s face darkened. But in the next second, she saw her brother with trembling form rush before her.
Luo Shufan looked at his confused sister, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, and there, right in her chest, was the Water Blade, though it had vanished, indicating it had dissipated back into the Water Element of the world.
With tears in his eyes, Luo Shufan took out a handkerchief, wiping the blood from the corner of his sister’s mouth, then observed the damage to her clothing with a gloomy expression.
Why had his sister been charred into charcoal, only to be tormented again like this?
Watching the blood on the handkerchief, Luo Qianqian suddenly spoke, "I said, why do I feel a little better now? It’s likely that the clot from the injuries the Bloodthirsty Demon Lion caused was expelled." Saying so, she let out a sigh of relief.
Hearing this, Luo Shufan’s eyes widened. He disregarded propriety and felt her abdomen, astonished to find nothing but torn clothes, with no wounds, nor any bloody scent.
Meanwhile, Mo, ignoring the experimental results, immediately put an end to the little deer. It was their oversight that had allowed such an opportunity!
After two streaks of cold glint, the Deer Spirit Beasts were lifeless, and their hearts were excavated to extract the Spirit Cores.
Beast species could either cultivate according to the norm or through foul means, differing only by the crystal core’s location; normal ones in the brain, Demon Cultivators in the heart.
"What’s going on?" Luo Shufan tightly furrowed his brow, voicing everyone’s question.
Luo Qianqian shrugged lightly: "It’s water, I’m water too, my attribute’s purity surpasses hers, and my affinity for the elements is stronger. So..."
After a moment of silence, Luo Qianqian smiled.
She didn’t mention that the Xuanming Ring inexplicably protected her, diverting the Water Blade into the Mysterious Nether Realm.
