The dark night suddenly became much quieter.

The Base Commander didn’t know if there were any zombies left outside. His relatives watching over here shouldn’t be much of a problem.

The superpower user squad members sleeping like logs in the dormitory should be arriving soon.

Bai Anhai acknowledged and did not refuse.

Since they were living in the safe base, they had this responsibility, especially since this was Leng Yebai’s father.

The Base Commander smiled and chased after Wang Ge and the others who were escaping.

Soon after he started running, he heard footsteps behind him.

Turning to look, it was Leng Yebai and Bai Xiqin.

The Base Commander launched a purple lightning strike towards Captain Zhu’s direction.

Leng Yebai didn’t reply, but he had already thrown out lightning, intending to kill.

The Base Commander’s eyes turned bloodshot, growing more deranged, slashing wildly at Captain Zhu, each cut penetrating to the bone.

Captain Zhu turned his head away, indifferent to his wounds, calmly reaching for Wang Ge to escape in the chaos.

Zombies surrounded and closed in.

"Stop the slashing, hurry back!"

Leng Yebai took a glance at the surroundings. Among them, he vaguely spotted Dean Wang, who wore a sinister expression.

This was Wang Ge’s father!

He had once turned into a zombie before transforming back into a true human.

The crystal core in his brain could convert the zombie virus.

Meaning, being scratched by a zombie was no issue for him.

Bai Xiqin was just worried and confused.

Seeing Leng Yebai scratched, the Base Commander was in a semi-crazed state, his blade several times almost hitting Bai Xiqin and Leng Yebai.

The only one in a clear state of mind was Leng Yebai.

Leng Yebai grabbed the Base Commander with one hand, Bai Xiqin with the other, running toward the safe base.

Purple lightning struck the zombies ahead, barely clearing a path.

Leng Yebai squeezed Bai Xiqin’s arm, indicating for her to come to her senses.

Quickly, Bai Xiqin snapped back and resumed suppressing the surrounding zombies, before hastily departing the area with Leng Yebai and the Base Commander.

In the zombie swarm, Bai Xiqin saw Dean Wang grinning strangely and also observed several people wearing lab coats.

The ones in lab coats held tranquilizer guns, accompanied by zombies in specialized suits, exuding a dangerous aura.

These were the laboratory’s experimental subjects!

Bai Xiqin squinted, opting not to linger in battle and decisively sprinted faster towards the safe base.

They were well-prepared!

"I swear I’ll kill you all!"

From the Base Commander, energy storms furiously battered the zombie horde, flesh flying.
