Chapter 946: Chapter 946: So Awesome

Sophie Wilson and Charles Seymour were happily eating on their side, while Old Mrs. Wilson had a face as black as thunder the whole time.

After observing Old Mrs. Wilson’s expression for a while and exchanging a glance with James Reed, Benjamin Walton finally asked, "Dad, please don’t be angry with Sophie. She’s just a junior. Back then, it was Emerie who was in the wrong, so it’s normal for Sophie to be upset."

Benjamin’s thoughtful words made Old Mrs. Wilson’s face even more sullen. He said coldly, "It’s been so long since everything happened, can’t she be a bit more understanding?"

"It’s my fault," James Reed said with a sigh, "I initiated this matter. It’s likely my brother thinks I’ve become restless again, which is why he misunderstood you."

"Nonsense!" Old Mrs. Wilson was really furious. Who did he do all this for?

It was for the Wilson Clan!

Why didn’t they understand his painstaking efforts?

James Reed glanced over at Sophie Wilson and saw her picking up a piece of food with her chopsticks and offering it to Charles Seymour. Charles ate with an impassive expression, but Sophie didn’t mind at all and continued chatting and laughing with him.

From a distance, James couldn’t hear what Sophie Wilson was saying, but her face was lit up with such a bright smile that it ignited a fire in his heart.

Seductress!

Sophie Wilson was a seductress sent by Heaven to torment him.

After finishing lunch, Sophie Wilson didn’t go out but took a nap indoors, while Charles Seymour connected his laptop to handle work matters.

In the evening, Charles Seymour took Sophie Wilson outside to watch the stars.

"The stars are so clear!" Sophie Wilson exclaimed excitedly, jumping up and down while holding Charles Seymour’s hand and pointing at the sparkling night sky. "The countryside scenery is definitely better."

The city lights are too bright, making it impossible to see any stars.

But here, it’s different.

One could hear the chirping of insects and birds, the breeze was fresh, free of car exhaust.

In the distance, faint cheers could be heard intermittently. Sophie Wilson looked over curiously: "Are they training over there?" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"Yes." Charles Seymour nodded, "It’s still early, so they’re probably not done yet."

"There might be a surprise drill at midnight for additional practice," Charles Seymour explained.

"That’s really tough," Sophie Wilson sighed softly, "I feel very fortunate to live in our country, with so many lovely people protecting us. It gives me a sense of security."

"Yes." Charles Seymour nodded, "There are always people making silent sacrifices."

Whether it’s the wilderness or the snowy mountains, no matter how harsh the environment, there’s a group of people silently holding their ground.

"Would you like to see how they train?" Charles Seymour asked.

"Can I?" Sophie Wilson asked curiously, her eyes sparkling. She clearly wanted to see but was too shy to make the request.

"Of course you can," Charles Seymour said without hesitation.

There’s no way he couldn’t fulfill Sophie’s little wish.

Charles Seymour made a phone call and then returned, leading Sophie Wilson towards the training area.

At the entrance, sure enough, the guards did not stop them.

Sophie Wilson followed Charles Seymour curiously until they reached the training grounds.

"Wow..." Sophie Wilson exclaimed in awe. They were paired off, fighting each other. Were they practicing combat?

Incredible.

Under the lights, fists and feet moved with the whistle of the wind, muscles bulged, and veins stood out on their necks. This was real fighting!
