Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 959: Immature
Sophie Wilson finished speaking and went to find her seat, while Hayley Cole was so angry that her hands and feet were twitching.
James Reed quickly pulled her aside, continuously whispering comfortingly.
"I, I want to, to, to... kill, kill her, kill her!" Hayley Cole was so angry that she couldn’t even speak properly; this short sentence was uttered by her with a stutter.
She absolutely wasn’t suppressing her voice on purpose; it was purely out of rage, making her unable to speak normally.
"Don’t be impulsive, don’t be impulsive," James Reed gently soothed Hayley Cole, "She just doesn’t like me, it has nothing to do with you. I apologize, it’s all my fault for dragging you into this."
James Reed’s words made Hayley Cole feel heartbroken. Then, remembering how Sophie Wilson mocked her background, she couldn’t help but ask, "Is it my fault that I don’t have a father? Why does Sophie Wilson attack me so mercilessly?"
James Reed kept comforting Hayley Cole, but Sophie Wilson didn’t care about any of that; what infuriated her was Hayley Cole.
If Hayley Cole wasn’t angry, that would mean Sophie failed.
Because this seating was arranged for five bidding projects at once, the company’s representatives were seated according to their surname.
Unluckily, Sophie Wilson was arranged next to Old Mrs. Wilson because they shared the same last name.
Sophie Wilson glanced around, pouting. If it weren’t for her father, she really wanted to change her surname.
Having the same last name as someone whose mind isn’t clear—it truly is irritating.
"Show mercy where possible."
An elderly, deep voice sounded beside Sophie Wilson, making her turn to look at the not-too-distant Old Mrs. Wilson sitting beside her.
Old Mrs. Wilson was looking straight ahead, as if those words weren’t spoken by him.
"Return good for evil... then what do you repay good with?" Sophie Wilson snorted and laughed, not even looking at Old Mrs. Wilson. However, after saying this, she clearly felt Old Mrs. Wilson looking at her, and quite hostilely.
Then, Sophie Wilson turned her head, giving a polite smile to Old Mrs. Wilson, as cordial as a stranger would.
Old Mrs. Wilson was so angry that the corners of his lips twitched twice. This damn girl, how long is she going to be so arrogant?
Originally, the whole family could have been happy, but it was all because of her, constantly causing trouble and being so immature.
Old Mrs. Wilson was so angry he didn’t want to speak, while James Reed had also comforted Hayley Cole, and took their seats.
"James, don’t worry, you guys will definitely win the bid," Hayley Cole said, her voice not loud, but enough to ensure Sophie Wilson could hear it clearly.
"As for some people, forget about it. Anyway, money isn’t an issue; being here is just for the sake of appearance."
Sophie Wilson admired Hayley Cole’s confidence, but if she thought she could provoke her... sorry, she wasn’t someone who could be easily provoked.
At least, with Hayley Cole’s current abilities... she was still far behind.
Sophie Wilson idly flipped through the notification in her hand. The five bidding projects would be announced in order.
Interestingly, the project her company bid on was the last one, while Wilson Corporation and Benjamin Walton’s company bid for the second last.
Seeing Sophie Wilson unmoved, Hayley Cole snorted unhappily, then turned to James Reed and said, "James, you can do so many things even without relying on Seymour Corporation. Those blind people will regret it to death, won’t they?"
"Other people’s opinions don’t matter; I just don’t want to disappoint my father," James Reed said with a smile.
