Rebirth in the 90s: Melting My Devoted Mr. Iceberg
Chapter 1120: First Test Flight
Jiang Xue was deeply suspicious; she had never flown before. What if she couldn’t make it across and fell into the Cold Pond?
She herself would be fine, but if the herbs in her basket fell out, wouldn’t her efforts be wasted?
After thinking it over, Jiang Xue decided to give it a try. She put down the basket and then gathered her Spiritual Power, leaping towards the waterfall on the opposite side.
Ah, she really started flying.
Jiang Xue found that she could indeed fly, a joy rising in her heart, a smile appearing on her face. However, before the smile could reach her eyes, she lost her balance and began to fall towards the pond. Watching as she was about to drop into the Cold Pond, Jiang Xue’s expression changed and she tried to leap again.
Whether it was her panic or her Spiritual Power failing her, not only did she fail to leap up, but she fell even faster into the Cold Pond.
With a splash, Jiang Xue fell into the water, creating waves of splashes.
The coldness hit her, causing Jiang Xue to shiver. Fortunately, she quickly mobilized her Spiritual Power, circulating it around her body, feeling a bit better.
Once she felt warm, Jiang Xue climbed out of the Cold Pond. Halfway up, she stopped, changing her movement from climbing to leaping, and immediately leaping out of the pond.
Leaping upward, Jiang Xue was focused and determined, her eyes locked on her target: the shore. Strangely enough, just as her gaze fixed on the shore, her body landed precisely at her intended spot.
After landing on the shore, Jiang Xue looked back at the opposite waterfall, pondering deeply. After a moment, she decided to try again.
This time, she learned from her previous mistake, not looking down but focusing solely on her target. She soared into the air, feeling a chill on her neck. By the time she regained her senses, she had already crossed the waterfall, landing in the cave behind it. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Jiang Xue glanced around the cave, a thrill arising in her heart, and headed deeper inside. The cave was large and wide, filled with various tools; although Jiang Xue had never used them, she had seen them in books. They were tools for processing herbs.
In addition, there was a large cauldron, and surprisingly, the cauldron still had a fire burning inside. Startled, Jiang Xue quickly ran to the cauldron and examined it closely.
After observing for a while, she couldn’t discern anything significant. She thought about asking the Little Fox, but it wasn’t there, so she had to let it go.
Taking a tour around the cave, Jiang Xue decided to go outside to bring her basket in. As she left, just like when she came in, she was focused solely on reaching the shore.
Soon enough, she was at the shore, and she carried her basket towards the waterfall. Once Jiang Xue entered the waterfall, the Little Fox emerged from behind a large tree, its eyes full of amusement.
It had intentionally left earlier, wanting Jiang Xue to figure it out herself. Sure enough, she didn’t disappoint, understanding it so quickly.
Thinking this, the Little Fox slowly approached the Cold Pond. Reaching the shore, it headed directly towards the cave behind the waterfall.
Entering the cave, the Little Fox saw Jiang Xue busy processing herbs. It glanced at the fire in the cauldron before approaching Jiang Xue.
Hearing footsteps, Jiang Xue turned her head and saw it was the Little Fox. She immediately brightened, saying, "Little Fox, you’re here! I was just thinking of looking for you."
The Little Fox took slow steps, walking up to Jiang Xue, raised its head to look at her, and asked, "Is something the matter?"
"Little Fox, did you start the fire in the cauldron?" Jiang Xue pointed at the cauldron, not considering that the fire might have been burning all along.
