"Of course it’s me!"

Mei Lili said with her hands on her hips, full of confidence.

"Why?" Xue Rui pressed with a smile.

"I can hold hands with Muxue. Can you?" Mei Lili said, tilting her head back defiantly.

"We might even be able to have kids. Can you?"

"You bastard! How could Muxue..."

"What, you want Muxue to die alone?" Xue Rui asked, feigning surprise.

"I... I..."

Xue Rui and Mei Lili bickered for a while until Mei Lili was so mad she could have spit blood.

When the class bell finally rang, she took advantage of Xue Rui’s inattention and grabbed a dictionary...

’Isn’t a dictionary a bit too heavy?’ she thought.

So, she swapped it for a flimsy notebook and slammed it hard against Xue Rui’s back.

Qiu Mengze returned just in time to see his own notebook fly through the air and get ripped in half.

"Short Melon, what are you doing?! I just finished copying my math homework!"

Qiu Mengze yelled at the fleeing Mei Lili.

Xue Xiaying, the math teacher, walked into the classroom right as the bell rang, and the entire class fell silent instantly.

Only Qiu Mengze’s loud voice continued to echo in everyone’s minds.

The students of Class Two tried to stifle their laughter. ’Qiu Mengze is so screwed,’ they thought.

"Qiu Mengze, go stand in the back!"

"You like to copy, is that it? Fine, then copy this. Write out the formulas from the math book twenty times and bring them to my office during evening study hall."

Xue Xiaying said with a beaming smile.

Qiu Mengze hung his head. ’My luck is the absolute worst,’ he thought.

"This is all your fault!" Qiu Mengze cursed under his breath.

"This has nothing to do with me."

"Short Melon was aiming for you!"

"Then you should blame her. Why are you coming after me?"

Xue Xiaying suddenly turned around. "What are you two whispering about?"

"Qiu Mengze said he thinks twenty times is too few," Xue Rui said with a straight face.

Qiu Mengze’s face went blank, his eyes wide as saucers. Even now, Xue Rui was still trying to screw him over!

"HAHAHA!" Many students couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

"Xue Rui, you can stand too!" Xue Xiaying said coldly.

"Oh." Xue Rui obediently walked to the back of the classroom and stood together with Qiu Mengze.

"Heh heh." That evened the score in Qiu Mengze’s mind.

In truth, Xue Rui had done it on purpose.

To him, math class was no different from scripture written in a heavenly tongue; he’d be drowsy within minutes.

The worst part was that he didn’t dare sleep in Xue Xiaying’s class. That feeling of wanting to sleep but being unable to was pure torture. Standing was actually more comfortable.

Not long into the class, Xue Rui noticed the students in the back rows were already starting to nod off, their heads bobbing.

Their eyelids were fighting to stay open, looking as if they could shut at any moment, but they didn’t dare close them completely.

Their heads kept drooping toward their desks, and just as they were about to fall completely, they would startle themselves awake...

Xue Rui pinched the bridge of his nose. ’What is up with all the good students at this school?’ he thought.

Mei Lili, her little face set in a stern expression, was "patrolling" the classroom.

"You’re eating too loudly. You’ll disturb Muxue’s sleep," Mei Lili chided in a low voice.

"Oh..." The male student obediently put away his Little Raccoon brand crispy noodles.

"And you, stop sleeping. You’re snoring too loudly."

A male student, shaken awake by Mei Lili, said with an annoyed look, "None of your business."

Immediately, he felt the hostile glares of the entire class land on him.

After observing for a moment, Xue Rui realized that the reason Class One’s room was so quiet was a completely spontaneous effort by the students themselves.
