When Jia Yan saw the intelligence report mentioning that Jia Rong was in the recently regained territory of the Biochemical Star Region, he smiled slightly.

However, he didn’t want to disturb this step-son’s plans. After seeing the intelligence, he decided not to delve deeper, since this son is not that young anymore and doesn’t need his supervision.

To be honest, Jia Yan knew that apart from giving him the status of ’Son of the Giant Mosquito,’ he really hadn’t done much for him.

"I wonder how Samo Ling is doing over there in the Biochemical Star Region."

Jia Yan looked at the intelligence again and inexplicably searched for information about Samo Ling, his step-wife.

They created the ’Biochemical Empire,’ but under Jia Yan’s assault, this empire quickly turned to dust and became a thing of the past. Samo Ling then severed ties with her parents.

When Jia Yan and his forces counterattacked the Biochemical Star Region and gained control of its territories, Samo Ling discovered that her parents had moved to a small civilization there. Unfortunately, her father died in a conflict, and her mother refused to leave. So once Samo Ling found her, she moved to be by her mother’s side.

It coincidentally happened when Jia Rong ran away from home. Jia Yan could probably guess that Samo Ling thought that once her son was raised, her mission was complete.

"Sigh... in the end, what do I really feel about her?"

Jia Yan pondered for a while and then let it go.

For several days, Jia Yan had been investigating and organizing the intelligence and data he had received.

"I really am only suited for fighting; handling this kind of work isn’t for me."

So Jia Yan lived happily there, and despite the smaller size of many of the technological devices inside, he found them satisfying. There were enormous televisions and similar devices, though merely projection walls, but they helped create the feeling of home.

"Next, I’ll take a bath. I don’t remember when was the last time I bathed. Showering at such a massive scale feels like the ultimate luxury. Just one bath would consume the equivalent water of an ocean on Earth. Only interstellar civilizations could afford this."

Jia Yan was momentarily stunned and then answered the communication.

The communication came from Tian Niu Lang, who, after leaving Jia Yan’s place, headed towards the other half of the Biochemical Star Region.

This subordinate, worn out from travel, had just recently returned after several months to the other part of the Biochemical Star Region, near the Empire border.

Just upon arrival, he discovered some unique situations and quickly requested to communicate with Jia Yan.

"Tian Niu Lang, what’s going on? You just arrived back to your domain and you’re contacting me already?"

Jia Yan was slightly puzzled as he observed the somewhat blurry image on the other end.

"Lord, something’s wrong. I’ve noticed an unusual atmosphere."

Tian Niu Lang, understanding the value of time, used the Brainwave Power communication method typically reserved for the Strong Ones, a method that could convey the content of an entire classic novel in a second.

"Oh, what’s unusual about the atmosphere?"

Jia Yan asked curiously.

"Enemies, my lord, I sense there may be enemies approaching from my area."
