Zhou Shitao’s face turned livid with anger. He had been wondering why that girl suddenly applied to be an exchange student and went to Dongyang for a few months, doing something utterly useless. Back then, the girl had all sorts of reasons to argue forcefully, and Zhou Shitao couldn’t resist Huo Sining’s determination, so he let her be.

With that, Zhou Shitao strode towards the hotel elevator while tremblingly pulling out his phone to call Gu Xu.

Once the call connected, Zhou Shitao didn’t give Gu Xu any chance to explain, bluntly demanding:

"Imperial Capital to Fucheng is a three-hour flight. I’m giving you four hours. It’s two in the afternoon now; I hope to see you at Fucheng Hotel by six tonight. Face the consequences if you don’t show up!"

After saying this, Zhou Shitao hung up the call directly. Huo Sining was bewildered and hadn’t expected her master to make such a surprising move, which made her panic:

"Master, you really misunderstood. This matter has nothing to do with Gu Xu; it’s me. Please listen to me; it really has nothing to do with Gu Xu!"

Zhou Shitao’s eyes were dark and bloodshot. He glanced sideways at Huo Sining and said, "If you speak for that Gu boy again, just wait till he arrives, and see if I don’t break his legs!"

Seeing her master truly angry for the first time, Huo Sining was thoroughly shocked and dared not speak again. She could only obediently sit aside and quietly follow her master and senior brother into the elevator.

In the room, after dropping off the child, Huo Sining eagerly wanted to talk with Zhou Shitao, but he simply ignored her, stating, "I won’t say a word until that Gu boy arrives."

Huo Sining felt frustrated and sat dejectedly on the sofa, not even in the mood to deal with the culprit.

Meanwhile, Ji Kun, standing nearby, took an instant liking to the little one when he saw him and reached out to pick the child up.

Suddenly, she recalled yesterday’s incident. When Wu Jun discovered the little one’s existence, he volunteered to buy baby supplies and returned, breathless, with a load of milk powder, diapers, and clothes.

Back then, Huo Sining was unaware of the little one’s uniqueness. She was busy with her paper on the Han Princess Tomb and couldn’t be bothered with the mischievous kid. Seeing Wu Jun bringing back so many things, she quickly shooed him into the bedroom, telling him to dress and tidy up the kid.

However, after assigning the task to Wu Jun and delving back into her paper, she suddenly heard a scream from Wu Jun in the bedroom.

Hearing the scream, Huo Sining leapt up from her chair and rushed into the bedroom, where she was startled at the sight before her.

The baby supplies were scattered all over the bed, Wu Jun was sprawled on the floor unconscious, while the little one on the bed grinned with satisfaction and chuckled, seemingly proud of the feat achieved.
