Han Ruochen was worried that her mother would still harbour some hope and cause a mess out of Han Beijiang’s room when she was not at home, so she directly took a pair of scissors and then removed the labels from the clothes in front of Meng Yunhan to prove that they were no longer refundable. She then took out the clothes that she had bought for Han Beijiang and said to her father, "Dad, do these clothes look good?"

"They are indeed nice," said Han Yichen with a smile. He turned to look at Han Beijiang and said to him, "Do you like these clothes?"

Han Beijiang hummed in response. Though the young boy did not say anything, there was a small smile playing on his lips, and his face had turned red and rosy. The happier the little one looked, the more jealous Meng Yunhan felt. Her eyes were extremely fierce, and she even terrified Han Beijiang, who hid behind Han Ruochen.

"You actually let her buy three sets of clothes for him. Then you must buy clothes for Ziyan too; buy four for her!" Meng Yunhan immediately placed her request forward. She was not going to let these brats be the only ones getting a piece of the pie. There was no way she was going to let them be!

"No." Han Yichen rejected flatly. "I have already told you before that you have used enough of our family’s money on Ziyan. If you wish to buy four sets of clothes, then you can do that with your own salary. I will not stop you, nor am I asking you to use your salary for household expenses. So you can do whatever you want with your salary, alright?"

After the depletion of the family savings, Han Yichen had developed a phobia. He needed to guard his own money as strictly as possible.

His wife was too daring; just because he trusted her, she took out the entire savings and passed it on to her cousin. He was used to her actions of giving and handing out money to her maternal house and never said anything, but he never thought that she would one day do something so daring as use his entire savings. This woman did not even think about how their family would survive if they were to take out all the savings. One could see the importance of their family in her heart.

He was the head of the family, and yet he was being played by his nose. He did not even find out about the savings being used up after almost three months had passed. If this woman dared to do it once, she could always do it again. Though he owned a pig farm, the money that came from it was not stable. Sometimes it was alright; sometimes it wasn’t.

He believed that as long as a woman married a man, she was his responsibility and should never make an earning outside; if not for the fact that Meng Yunhan spent all of his savings, he would have never asked her to step out of the house and suffer. He didn’t want to give her another penny, but he would never ask for her money. Since it was something she earned, she could keep and use it as she wanted.

If she wanted to dote on Han Ziyan, then she was free to do it. Han Yichen would not stop her but if she wanted him to take money out so that she could dote on Han Ziyan, then it wouldn’t do. How could she let that woman take his money when she had spent such a large amount without telling him?

If I had the capability, then I would have bought her five sets of clothing!" Meng Yunhan was really unhappy. Ever since Han Yichen found out that she had spent the savings, he had not given her a single penny. Every time she asked him to give her money, he would make some wild excuses and leave.

If she did not know this man, she would have thought that he was having an affair with another woman!

However, that did not make her feel better. She was not the kind of woman who was used to earning her own money and taking care of her expenses. She had been relying on Han Yichen for so many years and had him suppressed under her feet. Now that the man was no longer listening to her, Meng Yunhan felt flustered as if she had lost control of something really important.

Meng Yunhan was not that worried at the start; she thought that even if this man found out the truth, she could always use the incidents of the past and make him spend his money on Han Ziyan lest he start giving it all to these incompetent brats.
