Chapter 182: A Laidback Hunt

Sure enough, as soon as she finished speaking, Old Master Luo’s face turned ugly. Everyone who had a working mind knew that Han Ruochen’s action of buying a boat was not something that should be condemned. If anything, they should try to help Han Ruochen as much as possible. After all, if Han Ruochen succeeded, then surely the people in the village would also be able to work under her.

She couldn’t possibly take care of everything on her own. She would naturally appoint someone to take care of her, since that was the case; hindering Han Ruochen was hindering the development of the village. The more Old Man Luo thought about it, the more furious he became in the end, he bristled angrily, "That woman, she has gotten more and more outrageous. I will go and talk with the people of the Wang family and ask what kind of teachings they had given to their daughter. What good is her brother if he is made in charge of the boat, then he will ruin everything. He can’t even catch a crab on the shore and she wants him to take the boat to the sea? She has lost her mind!"

Old Man Luo immediately went to look for the village head. There was no way they could allow that woman to run rampant in the village or else who knows what she might do in the future? She was even eyeing the boat of a young one in the village all because she wanted to take advantage of Han Ruochen. How could he allow such a thing to happen? The future of the village was on the line.

"I thought that all the people in your village were unreasonable but it seemed like I was wrong," commented Zhai Heng as he watched Old Man Luo walking toward the village head’s house. She pursed her lips in a mocking sneer. Honest? There was nothing honest about this situation. The reason Old Man Luo was working so hard to stand up for her was because he was looking out for his own sons. He knew that Han Ruochen was skilled in catching seafood and would definitely succeed in the future. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

He was planning to get his sons on the boat in the hope that they would be able to follow Han Ruochen and earn a good salary. There was nothing good about his intentions but Han Ruochen was willing to take it because this was all she could do at the moment.

"Let’s go." Han Ruochen did not want to waste her time anymore. She walked toward the shore where she had tied the crab cages when the villagers saw her, they couldn’t help but come over. Han Ruochen had, after all, bought a motorboat what was she still doing at the shore? So, when Han Ruochen told them that she was there to grab her crab cage, they were quite surprised.

"What is the point of collecting crab cages? She should take the boat and then go to the sea. There might not even be enough catch in the crab cages," said one of the young ones with a hint of a frown on his face. They were all dying to get a motorboat and Han Ruochen had one but she was not using it. The heavens were really unfair.

Han Ruochen did not care what the people in the village were thinking. She went to the first point where she had left the crab cage and quickly pulled the cage. Because the opening of the crab cage was not big, it did not catch many things. There were only three fish inside of it with two crabs. Han Ruochen looked at the black and white scales of the fish and pursed her lips. It turned out that she had caught three blackhead fish.

Han Ruochen looked at the crabs that were snapping their claws at the three fish and immediately went to open the crab cage. She did not want them to ruin the fish or else how would she sell these things?

Behind her, the villagers sucked in a collective cold breath. Han Ruochen actually caught three blackhead fish? What kind of godly skills were these? With the recent change in the atmosphere, there are fewer and fewer things near the shore. They placed crab cages almost every day and in return they caught almost nothing. But Han Ruochen caught three blackhead fish and even two giant crabs. What was this? Even if the god of the sea wanted to favour her, this was too much, wasn’t it?

"She actually caught blackhead fish! They can be sold for sixty to seventy yuan if they are in good condition."

"Three fish – they could be sold for two hundred yuan!"

"Han Ruochen really knows her things. Even if she were to simply catch things on the shore, then even without a motorboat she will be able to earn a decent sum of money."

"Han Ruochen is really lucky."

"..."

Han Ruochen sighed and did not pay attention to the people behind her. She simply asked Tong Zhaodi to separate the three fish in the crab cage and put them in another bucket rather than with the crabs. She, on the other hand, went to grab the second crab cage. The ropes of this crab cage were more than fifteen meters long. The water level was not too deep but it was still submerged within the water.

When Han Ruochen pulled the crab cage she realised that there was only one crab inside the cage but it was a swimming crab and it was quite rare on its own.

"Wow, this is quite a rare sighting. A swimming crab, you can sell it for more than two hundred yuan." Aunt Gossip was filled with envy when she looked at the crab cage in Han Ruochen’s hands, why was it that this little girl was catching such precious things and all she caught was a few shrimps!
