The next day, Lie Fan and his party boarded the ships and set sail for Yuzhang, spending around 3 days before reaching Yuzhang from there they headed toward Sun Clan’s capital spending around a month before finally reaching their destination, where Sun Jian, Sun Ce, and Zhang Zhao receive Lie Fan and his party on the Western Gate of the Sun Clan’s Capital.

Lie Fan got down from his horse and greeted Sun Jian with a big hug, greeting him like a brother of his own with a loud laugh which Sun Jian reciprocated. Lie Fan asked Sun Jian about the condition of his health because he was concerned when he heard about Sun Ce succeeding him.

Sun Jian gave another loud laugh, replying to Lie Fan’s concern saying that he was as healthy as an ox, he just felt that it was the perfect Tim for Sun Ce to replace him and that he was tired as his disability held him back from doing any activity.

This scene casts a warm atmosphere for the people who see it, especially Sun Ce who sees the concern Lie Fan has over his father. At first doesn’t believe it when both Zhou Yu and Zhou Tai tell him, but now after seeing it with his own eyes, he believes it.

Lie Fan and Sun Jian exchanged some friendly conversations, ignoring everyone else, and when 10 minutes passed Zhang Zhao who was on the side grunted a signal to Sun Ce, which Sun Ce noticed and cut off the conversation between Lie Fan and his father.

He apologized to the two of them and told them to continue their conversation in the main hall of the Sun Clan residence, where delicacies have been prepared for Lie Fan and his family.

Sun Jian hearing this gives a small laugh while apologizing to Lie Fan, he forgot about the time and place since they hadn’t met since their last meeting at Xiapi, Lie Fan hearing this just waved his hand saying that it’s not a problem and that he also apologize for doing the same thing.

As Sun Jian, Sun Ce, and Zhang Zhao led Lie Fan and his party toward the Sun Clan residence, the townspeople were captivated by the sight. Curious gazes followed the convoy, particularly drawn to the imposing aura emanating from Lie Fan.

Sun Jian and Sun Ce waved warmly at the townsfolk, their gestures met with enthusiastic responses from the crowd. Even Lie Fan, with his commanding presence, couldn’t help but elicit admiration from onlookers, especially catching the eye of young women as they were particularly taken by his striking appearance.

Amidst the chatter and excitement of the townspeople, the procession continued on its path, making its way to the Sun Clan residence where a feast awaited them.

As the procession arrived at the Sun Clan residence, they were greeted by the rest of the Sun Clan family, led by Lady Wu, Sun Jian’s main wife. Sun Jian, Sun Ce, Zhang Zhao, and Lie Fan dismounted from their horses, exchanging warm greetings with Lady Wu and the rest of the family.

Sun Jian gently chided Lady Wu for waiting outside rather than indoors. However, Lady Wu responded with a gentle smile, explaining that they were welcoming a guest of honor who had contributed significantly to the Sun Clan’s achievements and even saved Sun Jian’s life.

She felt it was appropriate for her to lead the family in greeting Lie Fan and showing their appreciation for his deeds. Sun Jian nodded understandingly at Lady Wu’s explanation, acknowledging her thoughtful gesture.

While the conversation was exchanged between them, Lie Fan’s wives, Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji, along with their children, Wannian and Sima Yi, disembarked from their carriage, they were met with curious gazes from the onlookers. Similarly, Lady Yan and Lu Lingqi’s arrival also drew attention, particularly from the men who were captivated by their beauty.

Seeing the reaction of the men, including his eldest son’s, Sun Jian couldn’t help but let out a chuckle which broke their fascination. Sun Ce was embarrassed and let out an awkward cough, causing Lie Fan to be amused.

While Sun Jian turned to Lady Wu with a playful glint in his eyes, remarking that it seemed like Lie Fan wasn’t the only one who drew attention wherever he went.

Lady Wu responded with a soft laugh, her eyes twinkling with amusement remarking that it appears their guests have quite the effect, casting a fond glance at her husband and then at Lie Fan’s wives and companions.

With everyone now gathered, Lady Wu led the way into the Sun Clan residence, where a warm reception and a sumptuous feast awaited their guests.

Lie Fan and Sun Jian were talking with each other and sometimes Sun Ce interjected some words into the conversation, while Lady Wu was talking with Ying Yue who she knew as the main wife of Lie Fan, of course, she also talked with the others and didn’t ignore them.

Wannian on the other hand was talking happily with Sun Shangxiang whom she hadn’t met for a long time, the two of them were exchanging stories that happened in their personal lives, and Sun Shangxiang was surprised and envious of Wannian when she knew that she was training martial arts with Lu Lingqi.

As they entered the main hall, the tantalizing aroma of the delicacies filled the air, inviting them to indulge in the feast that awaited. Lady Wu guided the ladies to a separate area of the hall, ensuring they had their own space away from the men, where they could relax and converse freely.

Meanwhile, Sun Jian gestured for Lie Fan to take a seat, with Sima Yi standing beside him, ready to assist as needed. Ji Ling and three of Lie Fan’s bodyguards positioned themselves behind Lie Fan.

Zhao Yun and the rest of their bodyguards followed Lady Wu and Lie Fan’s wives and children, ensuring their safety and security.

Jia Xu, Sun Qian, and Chen Qun also took their seat which was positioned after Lie Fan’s position, with Jia Xu taking the seat after Lie Fan followed by Sun Qian and then Chen Qun.

As for Sun Jian and Sun Ce, they also took their seat, with Sun Ce sitting on the main chair followed by Sun Jian. Zhang Zhao joined the other advisors of the Sun Clan who waited in the main hall, who had greeted Lie Fan when they saw him enter the hall.

Sun Ce initiated the festivities by proposing a toast to Lie Fan, expressing gratitude for his journey from Xiapi to attend the upcoming ceremony. Lie Fan rose from his seat to receive the toast, raising his cup in acknowledgment before taking a sip, a gesture mirrored by everyone in the room.

He thanked Sun Ce and Sun Jian for their warm welcome, expressing his appreciation for the invitation, and said that they didn’t need to welcome him with such grandeur next time.

In response, Sun Ce reiterated their responsibility as hosts to extend such hospitality, emphasizing the Sun Clan’s gratitude to Lie Fan for his invaluable life saving advice and the alliances that had contributed to their achievements.

Sun Jian echoed his son’s sentiments, underscoring Lie Fan’s crucial role in some of the Sun Clan’s successes. Lie Fan waves his hand, saying that he did everything without expecting any expectation.

As the feast unfolded on the men’s side, Sun Ce continued to express his appreciation for Lie Fan’s contributions, ensuring that the atmosphere remained jovial and celebratory.

Meanwhile, on the women’s side, Lady Wu had arranged a more comfortable setting for the ladies, complete with a designated playing area for the children which immediately attracted their attention.

Ying Yue seeing this, instructed the maids to attend to the children’s needs while assigning Wannian the responsibility of overseeing her nieces and nephews who want to play in the playing area.

Wannian nodded her head accepting the responsibility given to her by Ying Yue, Sun Shangxiang beside her immediately said that she would join Wannian in taking care of the little brother and sisters using Lady Wu’s permission.

Lady Wu hearing Sun Shangxiang’s request asked for Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji’s permission, and the three of them gave their permission. Since all of them give permission, Lady Wu allows Sun Shangxiang to accompany Wannian.

Wannian and Sun Shangxiang then lead the children with the maids toward the playing area, while Lady Wu, Ying Yue, Diao Chan, Cai Wenji, Lu Lingqu, and Lady Yan take their seats to taste the delicacies prepared and have conversations with each other.

Lady Wu: "Everyone thank you for coming to our capital, I was happy when I heard that Lord Lie Fan would bring all of his family alongside him for Bofu’s Ceremony, as I wanted to know the women that have fascinated a talented man of Lord Lie Fan’s caliber."

Ying Yue: "Madam Wu is too kind with her words, we don’t deserve such praise. Our beauty wasn’t a good thing for us actually, but Our husband takes us out of that abyss and during those exchanges somehow our husband’s fate becomes entwined with ours."

Cai Wenji: "Ah this is Lu Lingqi and her mother Lady Yan, in the near future Lu Lingqi will join us sisters and become the fourth wife of our husband, we hope that Madam Wu can keep this a secret! Don’t worry we will surely invite the Sun Clan to the wedding."

Madam Wu hearing this was surprised, shedding expect that Lie Fan would also bring his fourth wife to be and his future mother in law alongside him.

While she was surprised she didn’t show it on her face, but greeted Lu Lingqi and Lady Yan respectfully and warmly, causing Lu Lingwi to blush even further where she already blushed due to Cai Wenji’s words, the exchange between the ladies was warm and without any misunderstanding happened due to Lady Wu impeccable charm and choice of words.
