Reborn with a Space: Building a Fortune Amidst Famine
Chapter 1352: Reunion
Qi Hao and Qi Xuan followed right behind Mom, the three of them chatting as they walked, and Qi Xuan was animatedly describing the life he and their dad had been living.
After the whole family enjoyed a good meal together, they all entered Su Yuanyuan’s space.
The three kids went to rest. Tan Shaoting wrapped his arms around his wife and refused to let go. They’d always been together, and now his wife had suddenly been gone for ten days; the kids were still fine, but he was the one who couldn’t take it.
Afterward, holding Su Yuanyuan in his arms, he brought up the matter of the little junior sister.
"There really is that possibility. Let’s go out and have a look."
"I’m thinking the same. I don’t know if she’s my little junior sister or not.
If she is, I still don’t want to expose it. I’d just give her a bit of extra care."
Su Yuanyuan was quite surprised. She’d known from a long time ago that Tan Shaoting had a little junior sister, but she hadn’t expected him to think this way.
This was his business; however he decided was fine.
The next day, Qi Wen went out on a mission. This time, she was going to the sect’s shop in the workshop to work as a little helper. A lot of people had scrambled for this mission, and she hadn’t expected it to be assigned to her.
The whole family went down the mountain to send Qi Wen to Xuantian Sect’s Spirit Treasure Pavilion. The place sold Spiritual Artifacts, Elixirs, Array Plates, talismans produced by the various peaks. You could basically call it a general store.
Once they saw that Qi Wen was settled in, the couple took the two younger ones and left.
Tan Shaoting knew that girl was there.
"If we just walk over like this, will it seem too deliberate?"
Su Yuanyuan thought for a moment. "Then how should we go? We might as well just go over openly and take a look. I’ll meet that girl."
Tan Shaoting nodded. To be honest, he had always treated his little junior sister like his own child when he was raising her, but now that he had children of his own, he didn’t feel that way anymore.
The family of four left the workshop, and Tan Shaoting followed the trace he’d left behind.
Su Yuanyuan looked at the scenery on both sides. "So this is actually near Xuantian Sect, and it’s not that great. The Spiritual Energy isn’t very dense here. I’m thinking a Loose Cultivator’s life can’t be that easy."
Tan Shaoting nodded. "That’s how it is. People say it’s nice and cool in the shade of a big tree, but it’s really just something people say."
The couple’s speed was extremely fast, and they quickly reached a small village.
Strictly speaking, it was actually a gathering place for Loose Cultivators.
The Loose Cultivators here all noticed their family. Everyone living here was a Cultivator in the Qi Refinement Realm. Once they reached Foundation Establishment, they would leave, since the resources here were really too limited.
Su Yuanyuan’s Divine Sense had already locked onto that girl, who was now running over with a face full of wild joy.
She was very excited right now, and Su Yuanyuan quickly learned everything about her.
She sent a voice transmission to tell Tan Shaoting that this really was his little junior sister.
Tan Shaoting frowned. He was happy in his heart that his little junior sister had gotten a chance to live again, but he really couldn’t acknowledge her. Doing so would only bring endless trouble to himself, his wife, and his children.
He was no longer that solitary, alone Tan Shaoting. Now he had a wife he loved deeply and children he adored.
He told Su Yuanyuan what he was thinking; with that, they knew what to do.
The family of four went to ask a Qi Refining Eighth Layer Cultivator here about herbs; they could only use this as an excuse.
Chen Xiaorui ran over quickly, only to see her senior brother holding two children, with a female cultivator standing at his side.
Su Yuanyuan had her Divine Sense wrapped around Chen Xiaorui the whole time and immediately understood what the girl was thinking. So she had a crush on Tan Shaoting?
Well, of course. Senior brother and junior sister had lived together for over a hundred years, and Tan Shaoting had even died to save her. Now she was all alone, her life unsatisfying; having such thoughts was normal.
But this girl’s thoughts weren’t good. She actually hoped Su Yuanyuan would die? In that case, there was no need for her to bother with the girl at all, and it would be best if the girl didn’t fall into her hands.
She directly told Tan Shaoting what Chen Xiaorui was thinking. She wouldn’t keep silent about it, but there was no need to let something so pointless make the couple angry at each other.
If Tan Shaoting really had other intentions, she would actually fulfill them for him. But right now he didn’t, and she wouldn’t vent her anger on him over this.
Chen Xiaorui ran over and looked eagerly at Tan Shaoting. "Senior Brother."
All the Cultivators standing around were stunned.
Looking at the girl’s expression, Tan Shaoting saw it overlap with the image of his little junior sister in his memory.
"You’ve got the wrong person. I don’t have a junior sister."
"Senior Brother, you really aren’t my senior brother?"
For the first time, Tan Shaoting realized his little junior sister was actually this clueless about human relationships, just like their master.
"I don’t have a junior sister. Don’t randomly claim people."
Chen Xiaorui’s tears fell. She had thought this was her senior brother, thought she would finally have someone to rely on.
But why wasn’t it him? Why did he feel so familiar and kind to her?
She looked at Tan Shaoting’s face and found that he was even more handsome than Senior Brother.
Right now, Su Yuanyuan was nothing but a relay. She transmitted all of Chen Xiaorui’s thoughts to Tan Shaoting.
Tan Shaoting felt even more disgusted. He had never known his little junior sister was this kind of person. Her thoughts were too filthy—she actually thought about clinging to him and wanted his wife dead.
With someone like her, he really couldn’t be bothered.
Tan Shaoting bought some Spiritual Medicine from the Qi Refining Eighth Layer Cultivator at the side and didn’t pay any attention to Chen Xiaorui. The family took to Sword Control and left.
Su Yuanyuan knew Tan Shaoting was in a bad mood, so she took the two kids with her.
Qi Hao and Qi Xuan were very well behaved. No one went to disturb their dad; they just whispered and joked with Mom.
It took quite a while before Tan Shaoting’s mood eased a bit. "Yuanyuan, are we still going to the workshop?"
"No, we don’t really need anything. Let’s just go back." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
After they returned to their residence, the two little ones went to read on their own. They had almost finished the Mineral Collection by now.
The two of them did have some talent in this area—at least that’s what Su Yuanyuan thought—because she herself simply couldn’t get through Mineral Collection, while her two sons could memorize it quickly. That was what you called talent.
Su Yuanyuan studied Arrays on her own. She still hadn’t quite grasped Void Array yet. She felt she needed an opportunity, so she kept on carving Array Plates without stopping.
Tan Shaoting’s mind was a mess. Although his little junior sister’s thoughts weren’t good, they had been together for over a hundred years. He wouldn’t acknowledge her, but he still wanted to give her some help.
He knew how hard life was for a female Loose Cultivator, especially one with mediocre Spirit Roots. She was around the same age as Qi Wen, but in every respect, the difference between them was just too great.
But what method could he use to help her? His wife had already said that she’d participated in Xuantian Sect’s recruitment but hadn’t been chosen. So the sect was out of the question.
Tan Shaoting felt embarrassed to discuss this with his wife, since his little junior sister had cursed his wife. He was afraid it would upset her.
