Chapter 105: Chapter 93: Killing in a Rage

In a building at the center of the base, a soldier suddenly knocked before entering an office.

"What is it?"

Milton Adler stared at a map of Azuregard City, comparing it to the zombie distribution chart Edwin Warren had provided. His brow was furrowed in thought.

"Commander, Hugh Warren has taken the convoy and food supplies to the armory."

Milton Adler’s eyebrows rose, and the tense expression from his contemplation finally softened.

"Oh? Flora Bloom is back? What are the casualties?"

"Only one soldier is unconscious. He’s been sent to the medical department for an examination. Everyone else is unharmed."

"Good! Excellent! What a girl, that Flora Bloom. To have such ability at such a young age. Go get Edwin Warren. We’ll go welcome our hero."

As Milton Adler spoke, he stood up, ready to leave, but he noticed the reporting soldier beside him hesitating, as if he wanted to say something more.

"Team Leader Flora... she... she seems to have gone to the refugee camp."

Milton Adler froze. "What is she doing at the refugee camp?"

"I don’t know. The patrol reported that she seemed to have followed Holly there."

Hearing this, Milton Adler mentally pieced together the day’s events. He suddenly recalled the look on Holly’s face earlier that day when she reported that the soldier delivering food to the lighthouse tower had been burned by Sienna Kensington.

’Flora Bloom’s brother, Caleb, went missing right after that, didn’t he? And he still hasn’t been found.’

’Holly, Sienna Kensington, the lighthouse tower, Caleb’s disappearance...’

’Oh no! This Sienna Kensington must be connected to the disappearance of Flora Bloom’s brother.’

Milton Adler’s expression changed abruptly. "Something’s about to happen!"

The soldier didn’t understand what was going on, but he saw a trace of panic on the face of Milton Adler—a man who was usually as calm as a placid well, completely unfazed by anything.

"You, go find Hugh Warren—no, go find Edwin Warren! Have him dispatch an elite squad to the refugee camp! Immediately! Right now! Hurry!"

The soldier, realizing something major was about to happen, immediately saluted. "Yes, sir!"

「Inside a tent in the refugee camp.」

Sienna Kensington, Freddy Dnovoan, and Mindy Quincy watched as Flora Bloom materialized a bottle of water out of thin air and gave it to Caleb to drink.

They were stunned. They saw that Caleb, who had been lying on the ground bleeding uncontrollably, had wounds that were actually starting to heal after he drank the water. The incessantly bleeding gashes were slowly, unbelievably, closing up.

Such extensive injuries were healing on their own. It was simply incredible!

Although the recovery was very slow, the wounds were undeniably mending, bit by bit, right before their eyes.

The cuts all over Caleb’s body began to scab over, but the most severe wound on his shoulder still welled up with beads of blood. Perhaps his injuries were too severe; one bottle of spiritual water wasn’t nearly enough.

Flora Bloom again produced a bottle of spiritual water in front of the four onlookers. After having Caleb gulp it down, she took out another bottle and poured it over his exposed shoulder bone.

A miraculous scene unfolded.

Caleb’s shoulder, which had been stripped down to bone and fascia, actually began to regenerate. Tiny blood vessels, muscles, and layers of skin, visible to the naked eye, connected and grew like writhing worms, forming new flesh and blood.

Sienna Kensington, her two companions, and Holly watched this scene in utter disbelief, their jaws dropping in amazement. This was especially true for Sienna and her friends, whose eyes, now fixed on Flora Bloom, burned with endless greed and unspeakable desire.

Flora Bloom didn’t care that she had revealed her spatial ability and spiritual water to them. The moment she saw Caleb lying in a pool of his own blood, his body a canvas of wounds, she had already decided to kill them.

Seeing that Caleb’s wounds were beginning to heal and flesh was regrowing on his shoulder, she stood up and turned to the three Koreans.

The three Koreans looked at Flora Bloom. Sienna Kensington, in particular, seemed to have undergone a complete change in demeanor, her eyes gleaming as she stared at Flora.

"You, come back with me. I’ll give you a lot of money. How about it?"

Flora Bloom looked at the three of them, her expression unchanging. An axe, its blade glinting sharply, suddenly materialized in her hand.

Carrying the axe, Flora Bloom walked toward Sienna Kensington with a cold smile.

"Go back with you? Heh. Forget going back with you. You’ve seen my secret today. Do you really think I can let any of you... go back?"

Seeing a faint blue glow emanate from Flora Bloom as she neared Sienna Kensington, and feeling the air fill with damp water vapor, Mindy Quincy and Freddy Dnovoan grew extremely uneasy. They immediately stepped in front of Sienna, blocking Flora’s advance.

"What do you think you’re doing?"

Sienna Kensington tried to gather the Fire Element in her body to form a Fireball and launch it at Flora Bloom, but she discovered that she couldn’t even do that. Influenced by the surrounding deep blue water vapor, her control over the Fire Element was failing.

It seemed as if an element that countered her superpower was inside her body, obstructing the flow of her Fire Element.

After an immense effort, she finally managed to form a single Fireball, but it was extinguished in her palm the very next second.

Now Sienna Kensington panicked. Without her Fire Element, what could she possibly use to fight Flora Bloom? A moment ago, she had been inwardly mocking Flora’s words, but now, without her Fire Element, she was just a nine-year-old girl with no more strength than it takes to truss a chicken.

Having used the abundant Water Element from the nearby sea to seize control of the area’s elemental flow, Flora Bloom now realized there were vast differences among Fire Ability Users, even those of the same level.

Take Milton Adler, for example. He was already at the peak of the Second Level for Fire Ability Users. If he had a Level 3 Crystal Core, he could break through the Second Level barrier and reach Level 3, becoming a Level 3 Fire Ability User. The intensity of his Fire Ability was very high. Even if Flora Bloom used her Water Ability to control the elemental flow in an area, it would only affect him; he could still use his attack skills.

But this Sienna Kensington, who appeared to be a Second-level Superpower User, couldn’t even form a Fireball after Flora had taken control of the area with her Water Ability.

’It seems the strength with which a superpower user wields their ability is also closely related to their own physical constitution and willpower.’

At this moment, Flora Bloom was shrouded in a gentle blue halo, her entire body enveloped in dense water energy. The rich blue light made her seem profound and mysterious.

"What do I think I’m doing? I’m going to kill you, of course."

Sienna Kensington laughed. "Kill us? Do you have any idea who I am? If you kill me, my father and your leaders will never let you go. You dare kill me?"

"That’s right, if you dare to kill us, you—" Before Freddy Dnovoan could finish his sentence, a clean line of blood appeared on his neck. Blood gushed from the wound. His neck had been more than halfway severed, hanging on by only a flap of skin and some tendons.

Flora Bloom couldn’t be bothered to waste words with them; she let her actions speak to her ruthlessness.

"AHH!" Holly and Mindy Quincy screamed in unison. They had watched with their own eyes as Flora Bloom simply swiped her axe across Freddy Dnovoan’s neck—a light, casual swipe—and took his life.

Flora Bloom smirked at Sienna Kensington. This axe had been reinforced by her father, a Gold Ability User. It could easily crack open the skull of a Second Level zombie, let alone a human neck.

"Murder! Someone’s been murdered! Help!" Holly shrieked and tried to flee the tent. But just as she turned, a deep blue film of water, like an irregularly shaped bubble, suddenly enveloped her entire head, sealing it without a single gap.

Holly felt as if her head had been sealed inside a giant plastic bag. She quickly used up the air inside, leaving her unable to breathe.

The deep blue liquid wasn’t like ordinary water. It was incredibly dense and impossible to inhale, merely plugging her nostrils and ear canals. The moment she opened her mouth, it would force its way inside, simultaneously robbing her body of oxygen.

Holly’s face turned beet red as she spun in place in agony. She clawed at the suffocating film with her fingernails, only to find that while the membrane was soft, it was impossibly tough and wouldn’t tear. Even though she also had a Water Ability, when she tried to use it to control the film and make it fall away, she discovered that any Water Ability she summoned was completely absorbed by the membrane. She was utterly helpless.
