Chapter 323: Pick Me Up Tomorrow

Entering the Stratosurge, Adam drove out of the mansion with a smile on his face, wondering how things would turn out with Marissa.

Is she bold enough to follow up with her word? Will she really try to seduce him? The question kept echoing in his mind, which only made him chuckle more.

He wants to see how she is going to do it, given that Adam has already survived seduction attempts from Julia, who is literally the woman he is most obsessed with.

He would love nothing more than to see Marissa give it all her, sexualize herself to the fullest of her extent, only for him to reject all of her attempts, and when she has completely given up, only then will Adam make his move.

As for her husband, he will make sure to come up with something to keep that man at bay.

Right now, Adam is nothing. He might be the son of a millionaire, but Adam knows that Jack would never go out of his way to shield Adam if the one coming after him is William Coronant.

At the end of the day, Jack values his legacy more than anything; if Adam goes back to being the black sheep by bringing unwanted attention, Jack will cut him off.

As for Adam’s other ventures, they have only taken root; it will take time for them to bloom, and when he finally has connections strong enough to rival William, only then will he make a move on Marissa.

Marissa was right about him; his need to feel superior to others is strong, and cucking William Coronant will definitely give him that high, but that has to wait.

It will happen, but not today or any time sooner; it will happen when he thinks he is ready, it will happen on his time, like he told Marissa.

Driving the Stratosurge to the very outer gate of the mansion, Adam gives the guard a wave and drives out, soon entering the highway at high speed.

The new racing tires on the car feel amazing, better than the ones it had before.

With these, he should be able to easily win the upcoming qualifier race.

Speaking of the race, Adam takes out his phone and calls Renee. A few seconds of ringing and the phone is answered.

"Did you get it?" Renee asks, immediately getting to the topic.

"Yes, I did," Adam says.

"Great, remember, come pick me up at 10 PM tomorrow, I will be waiting," Renee says.

"Fine then, I will meet you at your place tomorrow at 10 PM sharp," Adam says.

"Good," Renee gets the last word and ends the call before Adam can say anything.

He looks at his phone screen for a second before putting it away.

With eyes on the road, he continues to drive while he feels jitters crawling up his arm into his fingers, not out of nervousness but from excitement.

He is going undercover for the police, about to participate in the biggest illegal race held in the country; how could he not be excited?

And at the very end of the race awaits him prize money of over three hundred and fifty million dollars.

That price money alone would make him richer than his father’s entire net worth.

With the future path set in his sight, Adam continues to drive. His destination: the gym.

Parking the Stratosurge in his usual parking spot, he enters the guy to find it not empty like before.

Four young men, who seem to be around 14 to 15 years old, are all grouped and being taught by Lamai.

Staring from the very basics, just like she did with Adam.

Seeing this, Adam smiles.

’Looks like new students are already coming in,’ Adam thinks. With the gym starting anew under a new name and some local advertising, Rangsan has managed to bring in some.

"Hey," Adam calls her while walking up to her.

Lamai stops and turns around to face Adam, while the four young teenagers stop and look at Adam.

Adam meets Lamai’s gaze and sees a smile on her face, something that has been missing on her face for a while now.

But now, due to his help, her father can continue his passion as his work.

"Adam, you are here. I thought you wouldn’t be coming in today. Why so late?" She asks as it’s almost evening.

"Was occupied by a few things," Adam replies as he stares at her face.

Feeling his gaze on her face makes Lamai’s heart race a little, making her feel nervous. "What are you looking at?" She asks, almost sounding panicked.

"Nothing, I just think you look prettier now that you are no longer frustrated and angry at everything," Adam says as if it’s just a normal comment, but there was clearly some intention behind it.

As soon as Lamai heard his words, the only word she could focus on was "prettier." Being called pretty by him made her heart race even faster, while her face turned red like a tomato.

"Wh..what di..did you say?" She asks, stuttering.

"I will leave you with the new students while I go change into my uniform," Adam says with a chuckle and walks past her.

Lamai gives him the stink face, frustrated at how a simple word from him gets her so rattled, but she also feels a warm feeling spread across her chest, happy about being called pretty.

The new students saw the whole interaction between Adam and Lamai, and they were observant enough to notice the dynamic between them.

Their beautiful instructor clearly has a crush on Adam, as for Adam, they don’t know, but given the choice of his words, they believe he feels the same about her as well.

If they were more familiar with Lamai, they would have teased her, but this is their first day in the gym, and they don’t want to cross any line and upset Lamai.

But one of the students didn’t share the others’ attitude towards Lamai and Adam; seeing their interaction made him jealous because he had developed a serious crush on Lamai.

The moment he walked into the gym and saw Lamai, he thought he was beautiful. Then, he saw her showing off her skills, which made him admire her even more.

So when he saw the way Lamai reacted to Adam’s comment, how could he not help but feel jealous?

Well, there is not much he can do. He is just fifteen years old, while Lamai is twenty-two. He doesn’t have a chance with her.

But maybe, maybe in three years, when he is a legal adult, he can give it a shot.

A spark of determination flashes in his eyes. Even if Lamai is in a relationship, he is going to give it a go. Who says you can steal someone’s woman?

All he has to do is become exceptional at martial arts and impress Lamai with his skill.

"Alright, everyone, back to training!" Lamai says, her voice an octave higher as her feelings are still a little chaotic.

But as she enters her instructor zone, her feelings subside as she takes her work very seriously.

Adam returns with his training clothes on, watching Lamai instruct these boys the same way she did him on their first day.

But unlike with him, she had to correct these boys over and over again.

Lamai feels at home training them as a sense of normalcy returns to her; she is glad that she no longer has to deal with the freakishness of Adam.

"Are you just going to stare?" She asks without looking at him, clearly trying to avoid eye contact.

"Does it bother you?" Adam asks in a teasing tone. His presence can’t be ignored, especially by the new kids; they can’t help but wonder who Adam is and why he is so comfortable talking like this to an instructor.

"Instead of staring at me, start warming my. My dad will be here anytime soon," Lamai says.

Adam smiles, seeing her trying to sound so serious in front of her new students. He decides not to tease her anymore and ruin her image in front of her new students and decides to do as she told him to do.

"As you say, coach," Adam says and starts warming up.

Starting with stretches, skipping rope, body weight and movement training, shadow boxing, and so on.

After a while, Rangsan walks in with a man beside him. The man beside him looks to be in his early 60s, with short, white hair, a little obese, with his stomach sticking out a little more than most prefer.

But, hey, the dude’s in his 60s, he clearly doesn’t give a shit about how he looks, and neither do others.

Adam approaches them.

"Vince, this is the kid I was telling you about. The future heavyweight champion of the world," Rangsan says with a hundred percent certainty in his voice, introducing Adam to the old man.

The old man looks at Adam, studying him from head to toe.

"He looks decent, but I will believe when I see it happen," Vince says with his rough, gravelly voice.

"Adam, this is Vince. One of the best fighters of his time. He is now going to be one of the new instructors here, teaching our new students," Rangsan says with a beaming smile on his face.

Adam notices this. Rangsan looks a little too happy to bring this man in as an instructor; there is clearly a story here that he has no idea about.

Well, given Rangsan’s attitude, he knows it won’t be hidden from him for much longer, so he doesn’t bother asking.
