"I take it that you don’t like our deal..." Reincarnation said.

Kael nodded, "That offer felt more like an insult to my personal sovereignty if I’m being honest."

It was. Reincarnation basically asked him to expose himself completely to her so that she could infiltrate his systems without restrictions.

All in exchange for some information about the whereabouts of some Primordials.

Kael wasn’t that desperate.

On the bright side, that offer had indirectly put pressure on him to find alternatives.

"Well, all is said and done. You can’t blame me for trying to get the upper hand, but that’s that.

Why don’t we refine the deal a little," Reincarnation said.

"Oh, what do you have in mind?" Kael asked.

Reincarnation went silent for a while, her eyes drifting as if she were listening to something that wasn’t happening here right now.

When Reincarnation acted like this, it occurred to Kael that he too may simply be talking to a clone.

And the real Reincarnation was somewhere else. It made sense, Reincarnation was an Eldritch Owl Goddess.

Her true form was definitely incomprehensible to the ordinary mind, and even Kael might find it hard to understand what he was looking at if she were to truly reveal herself.

"Order," Reincarnation said, coming back with clarity in her eyes, "The Ant God, he is taking action.

I don’t know what he wants to do but he has always been a supporter of the Highest Will.

He should know that the Highest Will intends to wipe everyone out if he gets the chance, and he still supports."

Hearing this, Kael was reminded of those strange fleets that kept on showing up whenever his clones were in the main universe.

It was as if they had a way of identifying and quickly arriving at any point he was at. It was strange and somewhat scary.

He even remembered that time when they only chose to come close to Seth when he appeared. Showing that they didn’t care about the illegal things Seth had been doing.

They were all following a certain plan, and Kael disliked the fact that he knew little or could not guess much about it.

"What type of action does he want to take?" Kael asked.

"The kind that would speed up the Wipe Out Day.

He seems to want to kill your clones, yet is too slow to even approach you before you move away.

His fleets are definitely faster than that. It’s safe to say that he has been playing psychological games with you, intentionally wanting you to feel pressured so that you can act more."

Kael’s expression darkened.

The games they played.

Who would have thought that those ant fleets of arkships were only there to scare him into doing something?

Did that mean that they could have caught him if they wanted to?

Kael doubted.

Everyone might as well just be extra careful. No one knew what lengths Kael was willing to go to if he ever got cornered.

"But what would he possibly gain from that? Isn’t it better if he doesn’t give the Highest Will a reason to make a move?" Kael asked.

"You never know. He could have already struck a fantastic deal with the Highest Will, ensuring his survival by some means.

Just like how I am trying to find a way for myself, others are doing the same and employing different techniques," Reincarnation said.

Kael nodded, "Well, there’s nothing I can physically do about that. Let’s focus on you first.

About the refining of our last deal," Kael mentioned.

Reincarnation nodded, and she reached down and took her teacup once again. She held it in her hand and sat in silence for a while.

"What can you offer me if I give you the location of all those Primordials?" Reincarnation asked.

Kael tilted his head, appreciating how the wind had suddenly stopped blowing.

This marked the feeling of unease the goddess was feeling.

He observed her face. Even though she did not frown or look dissatisfied, she was not in a good mood.

Her smile was not genuine at all. It had never been.

She knew that she didn’t have the upper hand in this negotiation any longer, and it vexed her.

When last had she felt this powerless?

Kael did not gloat, he did not play around. He understood power play and knew that Reincarnation was only like this because of the threat of what the Highest Will would soon do.

If not, she would have never talked to Kael or interfered with his life. She was way too powerful for that.

"I can give you insurance," Kael said.

Reincarnation raised her eyebrows, "What kind of insurance?" She wondered.

The wind picked up and began to blow once again.

"Your soul, a fragment is all I need. If anything were to ever happen, you could rest assured that you would be reincarnated into the Alphaverse with your full powers."

Reincarnation was silent, Kael knew why, so he spoke up.

"Look at it this way. That Alphaverse is mine. No one, and I mean it, no one exists there without my permission.

Even if you wanted to force your way through the barriers, you would probably end up destroying the universe instead of finding a place to stay.

Not unless I give you permission.

But at the same time, you yourself have nothing to fear because I can’t really kill you or your soul.

What I can do however is keep it in my Alphaverse, and tap into its power in its dormant state.

As long as something happens, you can be sure that being reborn in the Alphaverse would be easy and almost automatic.

No issue.

However, if the information you give me concerning those Primordials is not satisfactory, I may expel you from your soul from the Alphaverse, leaving you completely to the mercy of the Highest Will."

Hearing the final sentence, Reincarnation could not help but chuckle. Her shoulders trembled and some brown feathers mysteriously fell from her body from nowhere.

"What makes you think the Highest Will will have mercy on you?" She asked.

Kael did not smile, "It’s just logic.

He wouldn’t have mercy on me, obviously. But imagine if you were him and you wanted to wipe out the universe, which group would you wipe out first?"

Reincarnation’s smile faded away into a thin and stoic look, "The strongest."

Kael nodded, "And the Divine Tier is the strongest.

Sure, he’s definitely going to kill me and I’m definitely going to keep on finding a way to ensure I survive longer.

But I’m also very sure that I am not really his priority.

I’m not at the top of his list. I’m just one of his excuses to do what he has always wanted to do.

And that is to get rid of you guys.

The Highest Will’s intentions may be good, he may genuinely care about this universe and its laws. But he can also be corrupted by power.

He too can wear a mask even when no one is looking.

Maybe after he is done wiping that last trace of god blood from the universe, that is when he would pay attention to us lesser life forms.

Right?"

Reincarnation took a deep breath, not saying anything for a couple more minutes.

Both she and Kael were attending to thousands of matters happening in their heavens.

The Samsara Heaven was working overtime, so many people were dying and needed to be reincarnated.

The Owl Goddess had to stock up on Reincarnation Essence as well.

"What’s the angle?" Reincarnation asked.

"There’s none. The only thing is that I would borrow from your powers to fund my Reincarnation project, although temporary," Kael lied.

"I need more assurance than that," Reincarnation said.

"Then you’ll have to offer more," Kael replied.

"What else do you want to know?"

"How would the Highest Will begin the wipeout? What method will he use? And if you were the Highest Will, seeing the All-King as nothing but a trigger, how would you handle me?

And why does the Highest Will need a trigger in the first place?" Kael asked valid questions that, if answered, would allow him to understand some situations better.

Reincarnation hummed, "The Highest Will is a slave to his own Law, he cannot do some things, he is not omnipotent.

He is a Steward God, not a genuine Alpha God, meaning that he doesn’t have the power reserves to do it anyway.

That shouldn’t mean you can underestimate him though. The same rules that hold his hands are the same rules that have made other gods not do anything yet.

He had the Other Law, the support of the Ant Order, and many methods. There are many ways for him to do it.

You can say that the Highest Will is slowly getting rid of its own rules. After that, no one will ever be safe.

Already, a lot of his rules have been dismantled quietly. I don’t even know how he is doing those things, don’t try to press it either.

If I were the Highest Will and I wanted to handle you, personally, I wouldn’t need to do much.

I would just set a trap for you to walk into, very easy.

Based on what I know about you, that trap would have a ninety-nine percent success rate too..."
