Bell sat a few meters away from where the unconscious girls were resting, he had already washed the plants using water from the stream and squeezed out the liquid into a container he took from the campsite and administered a dose each to the girls. But he didn’t know if the medicine would take effect immediately or after a while.

And if it’s suppose to take effect immediately, did he mix it wrong? And it was going to take a while, how long will it take?

He rested his back against the tree and took a potion, he could already feel himself being relieved from the pain and the wound was starting to close up. He let out a sighed of relief and opened the system, a translucent screen flickered into existence.

Bell thought for a while, a mage would be great for long range attacks but considering Ryu condition and the fact that he had Astoria for now was enough for him to choose the [Healer]. As he touched the screen, Ryu whole body lit up with a bright green light the it darkened.

It was now time to distribute his attribute points. He took his time, judging from his past experiences it would be better if he increased his strength and agility with the thought of him coming across more monsters that might be similar level to the giant wolf or even more that that.

"Why would they leave a monster like that in a test for beginners?"

He proceeds to increasing his stat and also spending some points on his skills, leaving his stats like this:

Bell couldn’t understand it, he already know that skills take more than one point but it looks like the point it takes seem to increase as he level up the skill, which mean he’ll never be able to fully know how many skill points a skill take. And he still couldn’t see Astoria’s stat.

"...you’re.... back" That was Astoria voice.

Immediately the system lit up.

Bell immediately stood up and rushed to Astoria, helping her sit up then Ryu woke up.

"Big brother...?"

Bell immediately dropped Astoria and ran to his sister. "You’re okay"

"Thankfully, you didn’t mess up the mixture" Astoria stood up and stretched her body. "But what happened to you, you look like you were attacked by a pack of wild wolves"

"Something like that" Bell replied as he carried Ryu on his back. "We can’t stay here any longer, let’s get moving"

He carried the pouch with the contents he took from Cliff and gave it to Astoria.

"Uhh.... where did you get all this?"

"I met someone who was kind enough to help" with that, Bell walked with Astoria quickly catching up.

"Bell" Astoria suddenly called out.

"Huh?" Bell answered, they had walked for a while with Ryu on his back before letting her walk on her own. He held her arm, slowly guiding her to avoid root stumps and small rocks while keeping his eyes on his surroundings.

Even though that monsters was dead, he still feel like he’s being watched. Someone out they is targeting him.

"Are you planning on joining any guild?, you know after this exam"

"I am already in a guild but to be honest, u don’t really care. I just want to make some money"

"Then..." Astoria quickly took a few steps and stopped in front of Bell. "why don’t we form a party?"

"A party?" Bell asked, he scoffed and walked past her. "Not intrested"

"Wha...? This... you can’t deny my proposal!" Astoria yelled and ran to his front again, this time pointing to his face. "I’m Astoria Flamerose and you will join my party"

"I thought your brother is in the golden dragon and you wanted to join him, so why are you asking to join your party?" Bell asked. "You do know I have to be invited to join, right?"

"Well... the thing is that...." Astoria burst of confidence seem to have faded away as she walked away shyly then paused after taking a few steps. "My brother don’t actually want me to be an adventurer"

"What?!"

"He thinks it’s too dangerous and i might get hurt ..." Astoria turned to face Bell, her confidence seem to have came back. "That why I’m here. I already completed the adventurers’ academy and when I pass the exam, he will see I’m not a little girl and he’ll have to let me into the guild"

"That doesn’t explain the party"

"Well, he still might not let me in, so I’ll just have to complete some really hard quests till he sees how strong I am"

"Now, you just sound childish"
