The ogre fell to the ground as Bell immediately jumped on top of it and was about to cut its neck but the other ogre attacked, he dodged the attack and the ogre’s weapon slashed through his partners neck, killing it instantly.

Bell jumped back to the ogre and cut through its stomach and it fell to the ground. At that moment, Ryu cast a [healing ground] underneath both of them, healing Bell and unexpectedly the orge too.

The ogre immediately swung at Bell who didn’t realize it but his body automatically moved, dodging the attack. Even though, the machete still cut a part of his leg and he fell down, as the ogre stood up and raised his weapon above his head.

Bell tried to stand but his leg wouldn’t allow it, he looked at Ryu expecting her to heal him but it didn’t work. She shut her eyes, her arm pointed toward him but the magic circle didn’t appear.

_that damn cooldown_

The orge swung down and Bell blocked it with his dagger, the orge pushed it’s machete Bell as Bell tried to push it back. He could feel the ogre adding more strength to the machete as Bell struggles to keep up, suddenly the magic circle appeared below him and he wound healed slowly.

He added his strength to the dagger, slowly forcing the machete back but the ogre pushed harder. Bell slowly pushed it to the side and bend his dagger sideway making the machete slip on his blade and struck the ground right next to him.

He jumped up and attacked before the monster could raise up it’s weapons and stabbed it in the stomach, the ogre coughed out blood as it still tried to raise it machete but Bell was quick to force his arm deeper into it till he could feel something hard inside it. He forced his left arm inside and grabbed the object and pulled it out, the ogre stopped and looked at Bell for a while before falling to the ground.

Immediately ran to Ryu and grabbed to bottle of potions from his bag and drank one and gave the other to her, as she drank from the contents, Bell patted her head.

"Keep up the good work"

Ryu nodded.

Another portal opened and a orge walked out, then another one, then another till there was four of them and some red goblins walked out too.

_this is not easy_

Feeling a bit refreshed, Bell hopped up and down and did a few stretches before activating his [dash] skill. He charged at the red goblins who were now faster and slightly stronger but he was still able to overpower them.

That was until on of the ogre suddenly jumped into the battle, it struck it’s machete to ground with a great force, creating a great wind tha was enough to blow Bell and Ryu to the wall, killing some of the goblins and creating a crater on the ground.

The surviving goblins stood up to run and with a gentle swoop, he sliced their bodies into pieces. The other ogres walk to the corner and sat down, grunting at each other like they were speaking.

"Ryu, are you okay?!" Bell called out to his sister, his eyes still fixed on the ogre.

Ryu stood up, holding her head. "I.... I’m fine" the injury on her head has began to bleed, she recited some incarnations and a magic circle appeared below both of them and her bleeding stopped and slowly the wound starts closing up.

Bell could also feel his internal wounds healing up, but he was still worried. The monsters - even though they are just goblins and ogres - keeps getting stronger and stronger, with the fact that he’s not gaining any experience point means no level up, and they only have five mana potions and three healing potions left.

He didn’t want to use it till the boss, but he also can’t Ryu burn through her mana, so they’ll have to strategize.

Ryu has 50 mana points max and [healing ground] cost 10 mana points for each use, then he just has to use potions here then Ryu’s magic for the boss because he wasn’t sure if the boss will be patient enough to let him prepare just like the ogres.

"Ryu, don’t heal me till I tell you to. Reserve your energy" he ordered her and surprisingly she nodded, she didn’t insist on helping which was good.

The ogres looks stronger and even smarter than the ones he fought before, so maybe they saw him as a weakling and decided to fight one on one instead of wasting their energy on him. He’ll use that as his opportunity and kill the first ogre without worrying about the rest.

He walked up to the ogre, his grip tightened on his dagger as pointed it at the ogre.

"You want a fair fight?, I’ll give you a fair fight"

The ogre seemed to smile for a while before lifting up it’s machete and placing it on it’s shoulder, but didn’t attack. Bell also stayed still, waiting for the ogre to attack first but neither of them moved for a while.

Bell decided to take the opportunity to strike first, his [dash] skill can only be active for eighty seconds before he has to wait for another minute to use it again and so far twenty seconds has passed.

In a burst of speed, in ran straight at the ogre. Ogre are monsters who rely too much on strength and because of their large body, they are slowly that goblins. So if he can slip pass it’s first attack, he will be able to do a lethal strike before it will be able to counter.

But before Bell could strike, the ogre swung it machete. Luckily, Bell changed the direction of his blade and blocked it with his dagger but even though he blocked it, the force was still able throw him away.

He crashed into the wall, spitting out blood. _How is the monster faster than before, why is it faster than before?_

He pondered as he tried to pull himself out of the crater, his eyes wandered and met Ryu. She was still standing still, she pointed her arms towards him but Bell immediately yelled at her.

"Don’t heal me, save your energy!"
