Reincarnated With A System Of Different Genre
Chapter 7: Paths
The chibi figure looked at Jamie carefully.
The three choices it had presented were simple.
The red orb contained the peak inheritance the figure possessed, one that belonged to the world Jamie was about to enter.
The light orange orb represented the Absolute Magic Path to the Peak, something the figure had deduced and refined itself.
The bright yellow orb would make Jamie its herald in that world.
Although the figure was not disappointed with Jamie’s initial choice, granting him that inheritance would create slight... chaos in that world.
And as always, the figure did not like playing strictly by the script.
Still, it wanted to test Jamie further, to see if his resolve would waver.
After coughing twice, the figure straightened itself and spoke in a deep tone.
"Why don’t you reconsider your choice? I can even offer you a great physique..."
"What physiques?" Jamie asked.
The sudden shift in tone made him cautious.
"Something like the Time Immemorial Physique, Heaven Devouring Physique, or perhaps the Anti-Magic Physique. There’s also the Good Luck Physique, and if that’s not enough, I can even give you a system."
The figure wanted to list even more options, but it was reminded that it was slightly constrained.
"Is there something wrong with the red inheritance?" Jamie asked doubtfully.
"If there is, why offer it in the first place?"
His trust in the figure was starting to diminish.
"No way! Let me show it to you directly!" the figure replied, summoning a screen before Jamie.
——————
[Magic Swordsmanship of the Avalon Imperial Family]
A prestigious and absurdly overdramatic magic sword style passed down through the ancient Avalon Empire — a civilization so arrogant they named every planet after themselves. This technique combines refined swordsmanship with magical force projection, enabling the wielder to launch elegant, glowing sword arcs, deflect spells, and dramatically pose on high ground.
Originally designed for imperial heirs who wore capes for no reason and practiced speeches about galactic domination in front of mirrors.
Has a 70% chance of making the user look cooler than they actually are, and a 100% chance of making nearby systems feel slightly nervous.
"All remaining systems will bow to the Avalon Empire." — Luthor Von Avalon VII.

"This... I don’t know why, but I have a feeling this description was copied from somewhere," Jamie muttered in confusion.
His soul-feeling told him something was off, because he didn’t have guts to have gut feeling.
The chibi figure began sweating internally.
Without hesitation, it waved its hand.
Jamie’s memory shifted.
From the beginning, the three choices had been blue, light orange, and bright yellow.
For some reason, Jamie had chosen blue. Red had not even been an option.
He disliked choosing similar colors, and blue simply felt right.
The chibi figure felt a strange sense of loss. The entire exchange it had just had with Jamie was wasted.
It snorted softly as the description on the screen changed accordingly.

[Heaven Dominating Divine Sword Art]
A pinnacle sword path originally derived from the [Magic Swordsmanship of the Avalon Imperial Family], this version was forcibly modified and perfected by ???.
The original art was known for its crimson-red aura, symbolizing imperial authority and supremacy.
However, due to the persistent mental ramblings of a certain Earthling, who happened to favor the color red, the entire visual manifestation has been recalibrated against his preference.
The technique now manifests exclusively in deep blue.
There is not a single trace of red remaining.
This is karma.

"Uh?" Jamie didn’t know how to respond.
Though it felt impressive and original, he sensed that there were some very personal emotions hidden in that description.
Still, he decided not to offend the figure any further.
"Alright... I’ll choose blue, sir. As you suggest," Jamie muttered.
"Remember, I... I didn’t force you!" the figure said quickly.
"I merely gave my opinion."
Internally, it cursed itself.
’Shit! The execution could’ve been handled better.’
Though it could technically restart the entire process, the figure shook its head and looked at Jamie again.
"Even though we’re meeting now, we will meet again but it will take a long time, and don’t look at me like that. The world you’re going to has World System functionality, but I will provide you with SNS so–"
"Sir, sorry to interrupt but what is SNS?" Jamie said carefully.
"Tsk! Kids these days," the figure muttered.
"SNS is a Simple Normal System, it will only record your progress and... you bastard, why are you thinking I’ll peek at you? I have better things to do than spy on you."
Jamie awkwardly tried to look away, though he had no body.
"You’ll understand more from the system itself," the figure continued.
"For now, it’s time for your reincarnation and I will select your vessel randomly. You could be born as royalty, a noble, a commoner, or even a different race."
It paused briefly.
"Though your soul compatibility with humans is higher, so statistically speaking, you’ll most likely be born human. Just don’t end up as a monster, or the child of one. That could give you either a very good start... or a very bad one."
The chibi figure bombarded Jamie with fragmented bits of basic knowledge before finally opening a white portal.
"Now, Jamie," it said more seriously.
"There will come a time when I will need your help. When that day arrives, remember this, I won’t ask you for anything beyond your abilities or anything that harms you. But I do expect a good return on my investment."
Its eyes narrowed slightly.
"So you are free to shake the world."
"Sir, I will remember your grace even in death!" Jamie declared.
"You are already dead," the chibi figure replied flatly.
"..."
Jamie had no response.
"Now go, a new world awaits your arrival."
The portal expanded, and Jamie was pulled into the white light. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
For a brief moment, the chibi figure watched silently.
Then it smiled sinisterly.
And just before the portal collapsed inward, it too slipped inside.
