Chapter 1081 - 83: Killing God on the Battlefield
The five members led by Hei Tu quickly closed in on Su Xiao, but the battlefield was so packed with people that they could be attacked by enemies at any moment. To advance on this chaotic battlefield, there was only one way—to kill, to carve a path of blood.
Yellow sand splattered as Su Xiao’s legs sank into it, surrounded by several astonished ninjas.
"Kill them..."
Shing!
A circular blade aura spread out, and before the ninja even realized what had happened, he felt a chill in his chest, and his perspective tilted as it rapidly lowered.
With a thud, the upper half of the ninja who had been cleaved through the chest hit the ground, followed by a wail of agony.
Three seconds after entering the battlefield, a chorus of cries resounded around Su Xiao as he pulled his legs free from the yellow sand.
"It’s been a while since I felt this."
Dozens of counter shields appeared around Su Xiao.
Ding.
Sparks flew as a kunai got wedged in the gap between the counter shields. Su Xiao manipulated the shields to open, and before the kunai could hit the ground, he kicked the ring at the end of it.
Bang.
A swoosh of air followed as, just 0.5 seconds later, the kunai found its way back into its owner’s throat, piercing right through.
Dragon Slash twirled in Su Xiao’s grip as he ducked to dodge a shuriken flying at him from behind.
Pfft, Dragon Slash penetrated the skull of a ninja behind Su Xiao.
Su Xiao twisted his grip from reverse to standard, with the long knife still impaled through that ninja’s head.
With a swing of his right arm, the corpse on the tip of the blade was flung away, and Su Xiao ducked behind it for cover.
Slash.
As he sliced through the corpse, he cut open the throat of another ninja, who clutched his gushing throat with both hands and collapsed to the ground with a thud.
With a pull of his left arm, a taut green metal wire severed the lower legs of two ninjas.
Su Xiao’s long knife sliced forward, and as a head flew into the air, he sprang upwards.
With a boom, an earthen pillar surged upwards from beneath his feet.
Su Xiao bent his left arm, striking backward with his elbow.
Crack, the skull of a ninja whose legs had been severed by the Boundary Line was shattered.
As soon as Su Xiao landed, three kunai flew at him. With a sweep of his arm, three counter shields met them and deflected them away.
The Demon Hunting Gun appeared in Su Xiao’s hand, and his pupils narrowed slightly.
Bang, bang, bang...
Five bullets were fired, striking the heads, chests, spines, and collarbones of five Chunins or Lower Ninjas respectively.
Su Xiao detonated the Explosion Needle.
With a massive explosion, blood and flesh splattered as Su Xiao’s windbreaker flared, droplets of fresh blood splattering across his cheeks.
Blood dripped from the tip of Dragon Slash, with no living soul within a ten-meter radius around Su Xiao.
The surrounding ninjas witnessed this scene, and while fear gripped their hearts, they still charged forward.
The light of the blade flashed, and any ninja who came within five meters of Su Xiao was instantly cut down. They were all Lower Ninjas, with a few being Chunins.
These people were allegedly the vanguard, but in reality, they were just cannon fodder.
The downfall of ninjas in war was apparent; unless Su Xiao killed all the ninjas around, they couldn’t use Ninjutsu to attack him. Most Ninjutsu have medium-range damage capabilities, and using them in such situations would inevitably lead to friendly fire.
As for using Taijutsu in close combat—not a chance—even a Shadow Level ninja would die in close combat with Su Xiao, let alone these Lower and Chunin ninjas.
Chunins couldn’t withstand a single blow from Su Xiao, while Lower Ninjas were mere cannon fodder sent to die.
Thirty seconds after entering the battlefield, a pile of corpses had accumulated beneath Su Xiao. Undoubtedly, corpse piles were extremely rare in the Naruto World unless they were deliberately stacked.
Standing atop the corpse pile, Su Xiao chopped down a ninja with his long knife before immediately lowering his center of gravity.
"Hah."
A low shout echoed, as at the same time, a fair hand wrapped in a beastly head made of Chakra struck toward Su Xiao.
Bang.
The fair hand slapped a counter shield, causing the corpse pile under Su Xiao’s feet to tilt. He turned to look at the newcomer—Hinata Hyuga.
Seeing the opponent’s intact right arm puzzled Su Xiao, but upon seeing the gloves on Hinata’s hand, he had a guess.
"Soft Fist Technique·Eight..."
Hinata, standing atop the corpse pile, felt a twinge of fear as she personally witnessed the gradual accumulation of this mound of bodies.
"Lime Coagulation Technique."
Just as Su Xiao was about to slash toward Hinata, a mass of black sludge descended from above.
Su Xiao knew what this was—a cement-like substance. Once caught in it, he would be trapped for a short time, which was unacceptable in this chaotic battlefield where mobility is key.
Su Xiao adjusted his swing, using the hilt of his knife to smash toward Hinata’s throat. If this hit, the damage inflicted would be comparable to slashing her throat.
Hinata, indeed no match for Su Xiao, wasn’t so weak as to be instantly killed, as she immediately leaned back.
Suddenly, the hilt in Su Xiao’s grip changed its attack trajectory, smashing into Hinata’s chest.
With a cracking sound, Hinata’s sternum broke, and her heart momentarily stopped due to the sudden heavy blow.
Before Hinata could be sent flying, Su Xiao grabbed her collar with one hand and threw her upward, scattering the mass of gray sludge she collided with.
A female ninja hovered in mid-air. It was Hei Tu. On the battlefield, flying had its advantages, but also high risks. The Bai Jue army’s wooden spears were no joke; they could perform air strikes at any moment, albeit not very accurately, but the sheer quantity made up for it.
Hei Tu quickly descended from mid-air, as she had narrowly avoided being turned into a pincushion earlier.
Hei Tu caught Hinata in mid-air and was startled to find that Hinata was no longer breathing, which puzzled her. Had this elite ninja of Konoha Village just died like that? Was she really so weak?
"Cough, cough, cough..."
Hinata, cradled in Hei Tu’s arms, coughed up droplets of blood and began breathing again. She wasn’t dead; the severe impact to her chest had temporarily incapacitated her ability to breathe.
"Don’t... get close to him."
Shing.
A blade light flashed, alarming Hei Tu in mid-air.
"Earth Jutsu: Earth Flow Return."
A wall of earth rose rapidly, just in time to block in front of Hei Tu in mid-air.
With a loud slice, the earth wall was cut open, but using the moment when the blade was blocked, Hei Tu made an evasive move in mid-air.
Several meters away, Huang Tu pressed one hand on the ground, his gaze fixed on Su Xiao.
"Don’t think you can act wantonly anymore."
Huang Tu’s intent was obvious; he wanted to gather elite ninjas to surround and kill Su Xiao.
Su Xiao glanced at Huang Tu, puzzled by the ninja’s actions. In the chaos of battle, did the opponent really think he could encircle and kill him with just a few men? It seemed they still hadn’t grasped the concept of war.
Unless the surrounding masses were separated by some ability, Huang Tu and his men stood no chance of surrounding and killing Su Xiao.
Casually grabbing a gravely injured Lower Ninja, Su Xiao hurled the ninja toward Huang Tu and his men, then stomped the ground and once more submerged into the crowd.
On the battlefield, even if it wasn’t shoulder-to-shoulder, there wasn’t much room to maneuver. Catching up to someone on such a battlefield was a fool’s dream, let alone someone like Su Xiao, who could carve a bloody path in an instant. As for using large-scale Ninjutsu, Huang Tu wouldn’t dare; it would inflict heavy casualties on their own forces.
Su Xiao’s goal wasn’t to engage in a death match with Huang Tu and his men; it was to kill as many enemies as possible. When Bai Jue’s numbers tipped the balance, the enemy would start to flee, allowing Bai Jue to cooperate with Su Xiao in surrounding and attacking Huang Tu and his men.
If we were to rank his speed in killing on the battlefield, Su Xiao would certainly be among the top in the ninja world.
Moreover, Su Xiao had two plans. One was to seize the opportunity to kill a Super Shadow Level powerhouse on the battlefield; if that wasn’t possible, so be it. The second plan was to gain a large amount of World Source, which meant raiding the enemy headquarters.
