Chapter 175: Chapter 175 - The Haven(Part 4)

Point-of-View: Prysm Duralles

"I’d like to be your opponent for the next fight. You can refuse if you like, of course, we did say that you’ll all be able to choose your opponents," Remarked Tania, the Fairy representative.

"Huh? Well, uh...sure, I guess that’s fine. Is there any particular reason why you want to fight me though?" I responded in bemusement.

"What the Monster girl said to you about our lack of experience in real combat...yes, it’s true, many of us don’t have much experience in that regard. And even those of us that do haven’t been in such situations in several decades, so we’re likely rusty and not as sharp in our movements and reactions as we could be.

Howll here certainly has the greatest potential and ability, but unfortunately, applying those skills in real combat is still a work in progress for him. He’s also only recently taken over from the previous Werewolf representative among our leaders," She explained as she gestured to the Werewolf.

Uh, where’s she going with this? Is she, like, trying to justify why he was defeated or something?

"Hmph...," He huffed to himself as he averted his gaze.

"Okay...so, what’s your point?" I inquired uncertainly.

"Oh, just that I’ve experienced more than my fair share of life or death situations and battles. So, to redeem the impression of our side, I’d like to fight next," She surmised with a smile.

"Sure, fine by me. I don’t mind take you on," I responded confidently.

I then stepped onto the arena, as she flew over as well. Huh, actually, this could be a tough battle. I’ve never fought something so small before...she can’t be any taller than twelve or thirteen inches.

She had bright pink hair tied up in a ponytail, glimmering green eyes, even her skin looked kinds shiny. She had two pairs of wings on her back, they were all shimmery with a slight, rainbow-like glow.

"I’ll count down," Spoke up Oberr, before clearing his throat and counting down in a loud, clear voice, "Three...two...one!"

Alright, here I go...Manifest Soul Weapon: Gravity Axe! Next, Elemental Wind: Wind Slash!

She zipped across the air to evade my wind Spell, before I shot towards her at top speed. She swooped down towards the ground and picked up a small stone as I began to close in on her, a Magic Circle appearing over it.

Huh? That’s not a Spell or Skill Magic Circle, I’ve never seen one like it before...she then flung the stone at me, shooting a wind Spell behind it to shoot it forward with more momentum.

I swiftly swung my axe across, aiming to bat away the stone with the flat of the blade. But the instant it came into contact with my axe, a small but strong explosion suddenly burst out, knocking me off balance.

My eyes then widened in alarm as she fired out a large wave of fire and wind at me, which closed in on me rapidly. Elemental Ice: Ice Wall!

And now, Elemental Wind: Flight! Plus for some extra speed, Elemental Wind: Jet Boost! I flew up and over as my ice wall began to melt away, before she unleashed a dense black mist inside the arena as she spotted me shooting up.

Initiate Skill: Physical Boost x10, Initiate Skill: Vision Boost x10! I then flew down and landed, keeping my eyes peeled as I formed an orb of light in my hand. I can’t see more than a few inches around myself, but it’s fine, I don’t need to.

As I then spotted a slight stirring in the mist to my right, I quickly shuffled across and swung my axe in that direction. Sure enough, Tania appeared from that direction, flying over and along the flat of my blade, firing out a wind blast to knock my axe down and then shooting in towards me rapidly.

As my axe got stuck in the ground and she closed in on my face, a swirling sphere of wind and flames around her fist, I then reacted purely on instinct...opening my mouth wide before leaning forward and snapping my jaw shut.

She quickly flew out of the way in alarm before I could bite down on her, before I quickly activated and unleashed a wind Spell to clear away the black mist before I zipped forward as I caught sight of her.

I slashed at her with my axe, narrowly missing as she flew out of the way, a Magic Circle appearing by her hands as she took aim at me after evading my slash. I can’t dodge this, and I don’t have enough time to teleport.

With Vision Boost, it’s like everything is moving in slow motion, which gives me more time to think and lets me react a lot faster, but when it comes to Spellcasting and Skill activation, I’m not any faster with those.

In which case, I’ve only got one move. I tightened my grip on my axe and drove it down with more force while simultaneously increasing its weight to the absolute limit.

Right as my axe struck the ground, cracks rapidly beginning to spread out as the blade began to sink into in, a powerful force splashed against my left shoulder, my body stiffening as well as I got sent flying across to my right, as a shockwave simultaneously burst out from the impact of my axe, bits of dirt and rocks flying out all over the place as I crashed onto the barrier surrounding the arena with a grimace.

Ow...my left shoulder is badly scorched, she must have hit me with a combined blast of water and lightning. Yeah, that was really rough.

As I got back onto my feet, the entire arena reduced to a small crater with clouds of dust billowing out, I quickly formed a wall of water as fire arrows came shooting towards me.

Gusts of steam burst out as the flames were evaporated by my water wall, before I quickly flew up and looked around. What the...? There’s ten of her now, but how?

Some kind of clone technique, maybe? Or is it an illusion? I quickly used a Light Attribute Spell to check if there was anything affecting my mind, but there wasn’t...okay, so it’s not a Dark Attribute illusion, at least.

Suddenly, chunks of the broken arena rose up by each copy or clone of the Fairy, before shooting up towards me. I quickly formed a barrier wall below me using my Light Attribute, before firing out a barrage of ice projectiles at them.

Hm? Now that I look closer...they’re all moving in the exact same patterns. Ohh, now I get it, those aren’t clones or an illusion...they’re more like afterimages in the present.

She’s just projecting images of herself to look like there’s ten of her! And she’s using Distance Casting to shoot projectiles from multiple directions, making it tough to narrow down which one is the real her.

Alright, I think it’s time to end this. Defeating her normally won’t be easy, she’s too small a target to easily hit. We’re in an enclosed barrier, which means...I can finally use that one Skill I’ve basically never gotten a chance to use!

Initiate Skill: Pheromone Mist!

As I activated it, Magic Circles appeared by my hands, before a pink, sweet smelling mist burst out of the circles, filling the arena rapidly.

"Wha...wh-what is this...? I feel strange...," Groaned Tania, struggling to stay in flight.

"You should give up now. You’re not gonna be able to fight while in this state," I informed her as she began breathing heavily with an alarmed look on her face, her cheeks flushed.

"What did you do to me...?" She gasped, as she landed on the ground and collapsed onto her knees.

"Well, uh...," I trailed off awkwardly, not sure how to explain it.

"She’s gotten you super turned on and horny! That mist drastically sexually arouses anyone who breathes it in," Larrk called out to her.

Yeah, except on him. Too bad, if he didn’t have Universal Resistance, I’d have probably used it on him by this point, probably multiple times at that.

"H-huh?" Muttered Tania with a dizzy look on her face.

Woah, she’s really struggling. I’ve hardly ever used this Skill, so I’m not totally sure what to expect from it, but, uh...this seems a bit much...

"Hey, uh, I could be wrong, but...it might be having a stronger effect on you since your body is so small," I remarked sheepishly.

"I...I surrender!" She gasped, a slight moan inadvertently escaping her lips as she shuddered and writhed slightly.

"How long does this take to wear off?" Inquired Oberr with a frown.

"Uh, about ten minutes, I think? I haven’t used this very much, so I’m really not sure," I responded apologetically.

Yeah, I really do feel bad. But, I mean, well...it’s not like she’s feeling pain or anything. Quite the opposite, in fact. She’s feeling pleasure, so much so that it’s overwhelming her senses and putting her in a state where she can barely even think straight. That’s not too bad, right?
