Well, today’s the day...it’s the 18th of Martius, 2020, around 1 PM in the afternoon, and we were currently about to embark on the mission to eliminate the source of the Monsters that have been appearing here in the Haven. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

In the end, the Elders decided that they themselves should shoulder the greatest proportion of of this problem, leaving out almost all of the other Demi-Humans. Of course, my friends and I will be helping too.

Besides the four of us, the Elders who are going to be a part of this include Oberr the Light Elf Elder, Arofri the Dark Elf Elder, Tania the Fairy Elder, Conda the Lizardman Elder, Howll the Werewolf Elder and Sinia the Felinian Elder.

Two others are included too, Iefyr, the Light Elf we first met when we came here, and another Felinian, named Amber. The pattern on her cat ears and tail, as well as her hair, resembled that of a cheetah, she’s apparently one of the strongest individuals in the Haven after the Elders themselves.

"What are we waiting for? Let’s get going already," Declared Howll with a grin.

"Yes, let’s deal with this promptly and return back. Tania, if you would," Remarked Oberr with a nod.

"Very well, then," Replies Tania, flying forward and raising her hands towards the wall of rock, which then began opening up and widening.

Of this group, she’s the most proficient with Elemental Earth Magic, so she’ll be opening a path for us. I’ll help out if she’s having trouble doing it by herself, but from the look of it, I think she’ll be just fine, her Elemental Earth is more efficient than mine is.

As she opened up in tunnel for us to go through and headed in, we followed after her, as I formed metal pillars at regular intervals, a measure to prevent any sudden cave-ins. Getting buried alive down here wouldn’t be a great way to go.

Oberr, Prysm and I also formed floating orbs of light to illuminate the tunnel, as it soon got pitch dark around.

"I really hope there’s something seriously strong further inside this place," Remarked Izzy with a gleam in her eye.

"Just so long as they’re not stronger than you, we’re all dead if that’s the case," Replied Argent wryly.

"Well, the only ones really stronger than me are True Dragons, Elder Vampires and Demons. I don’t think any one of them would be down here...but maybe it could be something as strong as the Monsters at the bottom of the Labyrinths," She mused hopefully.

"Yeah, you’re definitely the only one hoping for that," Chimed in Prysm, giving her a pat on the back.

"I would like us all to return without suffering any casualties, therefore, I’d much rather prefer it if we simply encounter a manageable number of weak Monsters," Remarked Oberr dryly.

"Why...why would you say something so depressing and pessimistic?" Frowned Izzy indignantly.

"Personally, I wouldn’t mind a strong opponent...just so long as they’re not strong enough to massacre the lot of us, of course," Spoke up Howll with a laugh.

I feel like everyone’s setting up death flags here, and I really don’t like it. Yeah, I’m starting to get a bad feeling about this. As a wise man once said, I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.

"Oh, there’s a hollow space just up ahead. Should I open the path?" Inquired Tania, as she stopped extending the tunnel.

"Hm...yes, let’s do it. Keep your guards up, everyone...there’s no telling what may be on the other side," Oberr advised us warily.

"Nah, don’t worry, the area up ahead is clear. I am sensing a lot of movement further on though. It feels like...a hollow space just ahead, and beyond that, I can feel four long, winding tunnels.

There’s a lot of movement in three of them...as for the fourth one, I can vaguely feel what seems to be a humanoid shape deep in there at the very back, I think it’s another hollow space over there. I...think all four tunnels end up leading into that space, but I can’t be sure.

It’s difficult to sense things clearly from so far ahead, it’s about four point five kilometers or so into the tunnel. No, wait, that’s only in terms of a straight line from this spot...the tunnels aren’t straight, they’re snaking and twisting. The humanoid shape I’m feeling isn’t moving, so it could just be a rock or something," Frowned Argent uncertainly.

"Right, you mentioned that you possess the Area Detect Skill. Quite an impressive range, this is highly informative," Responded Arofri with a nod of approval, as Tania crumbled the wall in front of us.

We stepped out of the tunnel and into a small, damp cavern, as I brightened my light orb to better illuminate the area. I see some bugs and lizards skittering about, but no Monsters.

"Okay, it feels like there are Antitans inside the tunnel to the far left. There are spots in that tunnel that are outside my sensory range. The mid left tunnel feels like there are Giant Moles in it, quite a lot of them. The mid right tunnel is full of Drillworms, it feels like they’ve dug themselves into the ground, walls and ceiling.

And the rightmost tunnel feels pretty empty, it’s also the straightest, and therefore the shortest, of the four tunnels. It doesn’t feel like there are any forks or anything like that in any of the tunnels, and like I said before, they all lead to the hollow space inside of which I’m sensing what I think is a humanoid figure of some kind," Surmised Argent warily.

"Alright, there are twelve of us here, so we’ll split up into four groups of three and head into each of the tunnels. If you encounter any dead ends or forks, just come back here. Let’s decide on how to divide ourselves up and then head forth right away," Declared Oberr, after mulling it over...
