As the Demon charged up his Negative Energy, I then swiftly expanded the swirling mass of flames and burst them out towards him, manifesting my Soul Weapon as he suddenly inhaled sharply and fired out a deafening sonic screech in my direction, the waves of sound blowing the flames back towards me.

I quickly responded with my own sonic screech, the power I’d acquired from eating Sonic Bats, while simultaneously stiffening and extending out my whip towards his head through the flames...I can’t see him with the flames obscuring my vision, but I can still sense him with Thought Communication!

Suddenly, as my whip zipped through the flames, a massive shockwave burst out from his side, the flames shooting back towards me as deep cracks spread out across the tunnel and a dust cloud filled the area.

I quickly activated Magic Eater and swallowed up the incoming flames, grimacing as I felt several spots on my body get burned, my skin sizzling agonizingly as I absorbed the flames before they could spread out across my body.

Damn it, he must have used that exploding punch to create the shockwave, the force was more than powerful enough to both overwhelm my sonic screech and blast back my flames. He’s so powerful, I can’t afford to let down my guard for even a second!

I then unleashed a burst of wind as I healed my burns, clearing away the dust cloud as the Demon’s eyes gleamed menacingly through the smokescreen...as the dust got blown away and he came back into sight, he had a dark look in his eyes, as he touched at his cheek, which I’d nicked with my whip.

"Tch...you’re really starting to piss me off, human...!" He snarled, as he took aim at me with an intensely swirling mass of Negative Energy, the cut on his cheek closing up...crap, he’s been charging that up for a while, I’m dead if it hits me!

I’ve only lasted this long because my blue flames surprised him and made him wary, but there’s nothing else I can throw at him that’s likely to work any better...time to retreat!

As I began to drop into the shadows, he swiftly spread out his wings and shot towards me, covering the distance in an instant, barely slowing down even as I fired out a spiderweb net in front of me.

He slashed through the webs, before reaching out and grabbing the top of my head, yanking me out before I could fully disappear into the shadows, tightening his grip on my head as he narrowed his eyes at me. Damn it, he’s staying airborne, I can’t pull him into the shadows if he isn’t on the ground...!

"I’ll admit, you’ve put up a good fight, human. But now, it’s time to die," He uttered icily, as he aimed the charged up Negative Energy at my chest from point-blank range.

Shit, what should I do!? Blue flames!? No, he can kill me well before I can burn him to ash. My whip? No, with a Demon’s regenerative powers, I won’t be able to deal a fatal blow. That just leaves one option...

"If I’m going down, I’m taking you with me!" I snapped, as I grabbed hold of his wrist and used Distance Casting to create a Black Hole before him, his eyes widening in alarm as his wings got pulled into it, his upper body bending backwards as he just barely managed to regain his balance in time to keep his head from getting sucked in, as I dug my nails into his arm and added, "I’m not letting go...!"

He quickly drove his left hand into the wall of the tunnel, embedding his claws deep in the rocky wall as he intensified the Negative Energy...

"Then I’ll just have to kill you before your Spell can kill me!" He exclaimed, firing out the swirling mass at my chest...right before he fired, I used all my strength as I tightened my grip on his arm to push it to his left, his Negative Energy blast shooting through the middle of my chest and narrowly missing my heart as it tore a hole through my body, letting out a agonized, gasping wheeze of pain before biting my lower lip to steel myself and tightening my grip on his arm further.

"Th-this...this isn’t enough to kill me!" I smirked as I coughed out blood, setting his arm ablaze with blue flames, while simultaneously forming several Magic Circles around him and skewering his body with metal spears from several directions, "How do you like that, huh!?"

"A...valiant...effort...," He grimaced as a trickle of blood ran down the corner of his mouth, before exclaiming as he opened his mouth wide and fired out a sonic screech at me, "But it’s ultimately futile!"

I let out a stunned gasp as my eardrums burst, my ears ringing painfully as his attack severely dazed and stunned me, my Black Hole Spell fading as I let out a weak groan and slumped down, collapsing onto my knees as I struggled to maintain my consciousness.

Th-this is bad...I can’t move...!

"Fuck...," I uttered faintly, healing myself as quickly as I could with a sense of desperation, as he tore off his burning arm and tossed it away, growing a new one in a matter of seconds.

"Damn it...I don’t have much time left. This fight must have exacerbated the damage...," He muttered with a pained look on his face, as he clutched his chest.

I-it’s not good, I can’t focus well enough to execute the Spell properly, I can’t heal fast enough...I’m not gonna make it in time, he’s gonna kill me...!

"No human has ever pushed me this far, I’ll commend you for that...but it changes nothing, time for you to die," He remarked, as he raised his hand and extended out his claws, aiming to slice off my head, "Goodbye, human-...agh! Who dares-...!?"

A bright blue flash burst out behind him, an intense wave of sweltering heat flooding the space, as a familiar sight of white hair and red skin appeared...

"Oh, no way, is that you, Azazel? What’re you doing in a place like this?" Came Izzy’s voice, sounding surprised.

"I-it...it can’t be...Lady Izzozon, is that really you?" Responded the Demon in disbelief, turning around.

I can feel it through my Thought Communication, his aggression is fading fast, I-I’m...I’m saved. That was...that was way too fucking close for comfort...
