"I must say, we’ll be sad to see the four of you go. But we can save the tearful farewells for tomorrow...for now, let’s enjoy ourselves!" Declared Oberr, before heartily chugging down a mug of beer.

"Yeah, we didn’t get off to a great start initially, with both sides wary of each other. But I gotta say, at this point, I feel pretty at home in this place, if you don’t mind me saying so," I grinned, as I lit up a joint and took a puff.

"I know, right? This place is so comfortable, the air is so nice and clear," Chimed in Izzy, who was wolfing down some deep fried meat, while Argent reached over with a napkin and wiped some sauce off her face.

"We’re not opposed to the four of you staying a while longer, so you don’t have to leave," Remarked Tania, as she landed on Prysm’s head, eating a strawberry.

"Hey, careful, you’re gonna drip on my hair," Responded Prysm warily.

"It’s fine, I can use an Enchantment to dry your hair afterwards."

"If it’s all the same to you, I’d rather not get dripped on in the first place...," Muttered Prysm, before letting out an exasperated groan as a drop of juice from the strawberry dripped onto her bangs and trickled down her forehead.

"Like we offered before, you guys are more than welcome to stay here longer," Spoke up Sinia.

"We do really appreciate the offer, but we don’t want to take advantage of your hospitality...plus, if we do stay here for a while longer, I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up never wanting to leave," Spoke up Argent wryly.

"Gotta agree with that notion, it’s so peaceful and relaxing here that the longer we stay, the less appealing the notion of returning to the surface becomes," I nodded in agreement. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

"Humans sure do have it rough, don’t they? But it’s hard to sympathize since, more often than not, they tend to bring about their own troubles themselves," Grinned Sinia, as she picked up a bong and lit it up.

"Ain’t that the truth. All human conflicts are ultimately avoidable and unnecessary, but it’s a constant, neverending problem that’ll probably never be truly resolved," I sighed wistfully.

"Why are we talking about this? It’s a party, so let’s forget about any and all concerns and just focus on enjoying ourselves!" Exclaimed Howll, as he smacked my shoulder with a laugh.

"Ow...yeah, guess you’ve got a point there," I replied with a wry smile, as I poured myself a cup of mixed fruit juice, before taking a sip after puffing on a joint and exhaling through my nostrils, "Mm, this juice goes so well with the weed, nice and refreshing."

"Oh, I enchanted that juice so that it’s sweeter and more refreshing, sounds like that was a good move on my part. Your suggestion to use enchantments on our food, drinks and marijuana was a stroke of genius, I still can’t believe the thought never occurred to me before," Responded Tania, flying over and scooping up some of the juice in a small cup and gulping it down.

"I’ll be sorry to lose the supply of metal you had been providing using Magic, it was of such high quantity too," Chimed in Ulfar, the Dwarf Elder, as he approached me.

"Yeah, I’ve tried pretty hard but I just can’t replicate that same level of quality with Elemental Metal Spells. But at least we can still produce metal of some quality...those threads you produce, on the other hand, that’s not something I can replicate in the slightest," Tania sighed wistfully.

The metal thing is only because I have knowledge regarding their atomic and molecular structures thanks to my past life and my photographic memory. And as for the spider threads...

"I can’t really take any credit for that, it’s just an ability I happened to acquire by eating Monsters, it’s not something I can do because of talent or anything like that," I pointed out.

"Maybe so, but most people wouldn’t go out of their way to eat Monsters if they had other options," She countered wryly.

"Fair enough."

I gotta say, this is...really nice. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so relaxed, at least not in a very, very long time. Even when things were peaceful on the surface, there were still concerns at the back of my mind...

What if someone finds out that I have both Attributes? What if Prysm is discovered and her Light Attribute gets exposed? What if people found out that Izzy is a Monster?

Before coming to the Haven, I barely needed one hand to count all the people that I genuinely trust. I had to constantly be on guard to some extent, to keep my Light Attribute under wraps, to avoid the Knights, and even most Adventurers.

But it’s different here in the Haven...here, everyone knows all the things I had to hide on the surface, I don’t have to worry about hiding anything, because it doesn’t make a difference to them what my powers are, they’re only concerned about what kind of a person I am.

Yeah...I’m really gonna miss this place. The only thing that I’d say is superior on the surface is the technology...but in every other way that matters, I feel so much more comfortable down here.

’You humans really are emotional creatures, aren’t you? Even you, a more reserved individual, experience a lot more emotion than Demons do. Particularly when it comes to varying emotions simultaneously or in quick succession,’ Mused Azazel in fascination.

Huh, is that so?

’Indeed, I don’t believe there are many other beings with the capacity to feel such strong emotions on such a near-constant basis. That’s not to say that we Demons are emotionless beings, of course. Just that human emotions, or at the very least, your emotions, are a lot more volatile and constant than mine.’

Interesting...maybe that’s why humans are so much more prone to conflict than other races, because we’re inherently more emotional, and therefore more wavering and unpredictable in our decisions and thoughts?

’Hm...yes, that does make sense. In fact, it would explain a lot...’

Yeah, I bet it does.

"There you are, Larrk! I’ve been looking for you...come on, let’s have a contest to see who can drag a puff the longest without stopping!" Suddenly came Sinia’s voice, interrupting my internal conversation as she grabbed my arm with a grin.

"Sure, why not...no reason to pass up an opportunity for an easy win," I smirked in response.

"Ohh, you’re on, challenge accepted!"

"Give me your best shot, kitty."
