Reincarnation Tribulation - All I Want Is A Peaceful Isekai Life
Chapter 309 - The Water Dragon King(Part 2)
I swiftly spread out my wings and took off into the air as Liquaqua sent a massive tidal wave barreling towards me, narrowly evading it before getting some altitude as the wave crashed onto the shore with immense force.
A hiss of steam echoed out as Frielektra flew out of the water with flames swirling around her body, an annoyed look on her face, right as several water arrows came shooting up towards me.
I opened a portal into my Pocket Dimension below me as the projectiles closed in on me, shooting into the portal right as a massive, angled pillar of water came rising up towards me from behind.
I spun around and swung my whip straight down while rapidly extending it, splitting the incoming pillar in half as it closed in on me, the two halves flying past either side of me, as I sensed a presence above me.
I quickly turned my gaze up, just in time to see Liquaqua hovering a few meters above me, before I zipped across the air as she fired out an intense burst of water down at me from her mouth, just barely avoiding it before I turned my right arm into slime and sent it rapidly extending and shooting out towards her.
She swung her arm across to fire out a slashing wave of water, a look of surprise appearing on her face as her attack barely did any damage to my slime arm, hardly even slowing it down, before she hurriedly flew out of the way, swerving and weaving through the air as I chased after her with my slime.
She then sharply changed her trajectory and came flying towards me with immense speed, her eyes widening in disbelief as I opened my mouth and unleashed a large, scorching wave of blue flames straight at her.
A massive explosion of steam erupted out as my flames closed in her, before a rapid blur shot out of the steam cloud, a pained grimace on her face with several burned spots visible across her body.
I then quickly zipped across the air as she raised her hand in my direction and fired out a rapid, piercing beam of water straight at me, missing the front of my chest by barely an inch.
As I evaded her attack, she formed an ice javelin in her right hand, arching her arm back before flinging it straight towards me with immense force.
I swiftly cracked my whip across as it began to close in on me, shattering it to pieces as my whip slammed against the side of the projectile, before I flew up as a barrage of ice needles came shooting towards me.
"Let’s turn things up a notch," I muttered to myself as she came chasing after me rapidly, before chanting, "Soul Weapon Ascension: Belt of Dragon Whiskers!"
She quickly halted and backed away as a burst of energy erupted around me in an intense shockwave, a belt forming around my waist with two tail-like whips extending out of the back, as daggers with spikes on the handles over my knuckles manifested in my hands.
As several angled water pillars came shooting up towards me from the sea below, I extended out the whips and swung them around me with immense force while extending them out as the pillars closed in on me, the whips slicing through the towering masses of water and killing their momentum, before I shot towards Liquaqua at top speed.
She began to fly back, before I swiftly formed a black hole a couple of meters in front of her as that spot got within my Distance Casting range, her eyes widening in alarm as she began to get pulled in towards it.
I dispersed the Spell as she drew closer towards it, her balance thrown off as I then closed in on her and grabbed her arms with my whips, stretching them out to restrain her as I wrapped lightning around my right fist and the dagger in it, intense sparks crackling around the sharp spikes over my knuckles as I drew back my fist.
Right as the spikes began to pierce through the skin over her chest, she unleashed a fierce blast of water from her mouth, which slammed onto my chest and sent me flying back, before she began to shift to her Dragon form and then swiftly reverted to her Dragonoid form, her arms free of the grasp of my whips as she’d stretched them out while expanding in size.
I then retracted my whips as I took in a deep breath and slowly exhaled, easing the adrenaline pumping through me...alright, time to get serious, let’s-...
"Okay, I think I’ve seen enough. You are indeed powerful, and while I’d like to keep going, one or both of us may well get seriously injured if this battle grows more intense," She called out, before flying back down towards the shore.
Oh...alright, then. Not gonna lie, I was kinda enjoying myself, I haven’t really gone all out since my battle against Plasmuk at the bottom of the Dead Zone Labyrinth.
I then flew back down too, reverting back to my normal state as my feet hit the ground with a soft thud, stretching my arms up with a sigh.
"So, what’s the verdict? Did I impress you enough?" I inquired with a wry smile.
"Oh, yes, you quite surpassed my expectations, actually. As promised, I shall join your nation, human, and if it’s ever attacked, you shall have my assistance in defending it," She replied with a nod.
"Cool, glad to have you on board. I do have a request though...just as Frielektra has been doing, I’d like your help with locating the last two Dragon Kings to invite them to our nation too," I requested, as Frielektra flew over.
"Hm...very well, I can do that. I have a vague idea of where the other two might be, so I suppose I can go take a look."
Sweet, this worked out great. Here’s hoping this streak of recent good luck continues...

Point-of-View: Dracula

"Well? Is it done?" I inquired, as I raised a glass of blood up to my lips and took a sip.
"Yes, my King, we’ve accomplished our goal...the entire Light Continent is ours now."
I am the King of the Vampires, the Elder Vampire Dracula. Once upon a time, we Vampires lived proudly and freely...until the humans betrayed us, along with the other so-called Demonic Grade Monsters.
The Demons were effectively wiped out, and the Dragon Kings went into hiding. We did the same, laying low and blending in to human society, biding our time.
Two centuries ago, there were fifteen Elder Vampires, but only seven remain today, the rest killed by the humans. We have been scheming for decades, and we finally began making our move a few years ago.
We began turning humans in positions of power in the Light Continent into Vampires...when a human is turned into a Vampire by a Vampire Elder, their existing personality is effectively killed, and a new personality that retains the same memories but with a deep, unbreakable loyalty to us, is born in its place.
Once we’d turned an adequate number of humans into Vampires, which we accomplished a few months ago, we then commanded those Vampires to turn the humans around them into Lesser Vampires, unintellent creatures that are at the mercy of the command of the Vampires and us Elder Vampires.
Before the humans even realized what was happening, every nation of the Light Continent was firmly under our control, and we began rounding up the remaining humans in the same way they treat cattle...we siphon their blood for our consumption.
However, we’ve only accomplished half our ultimate goal, there are still many humans that are yet to pay for the betrayal we suffered two centuries ago, on the other side of the world...
"Once we’ve stabilized the situation in the Light Continent, we shall prepare for our next move...our target is the Dark Continent. However, there is a matter of concern, yes? The new nation that calls themselves Arcadia...," I remarked with a grimace.
"Yes, my King...it’s quite bewildering, to think that there were still a few survivors among the Demons, but most of all, the fact that they’ve allied themselves with humans," Responded one of the other Vampire Elders.
"The Dragon King Frielektra has also joined them, they are not a threat we can afford to take lightly."
"Yeah, that nation is dangerous...however, it doesn’t seem like any of the nations in the Dark Continent have caught on to what’s happening here. We’ve eliminated all their spies, and there haven’t been any signs of the Dark Continent preparing to make any moves against us."
"Good...if they don’t know about us, we can take our time with our preparations. And once we are finally ready...our first target will be the nation of Arcadia," I declared, as I took another sip of the blood in my glass...
