Reincarnation Tribulation - All I Want Is A Peaceful Isekai Life
Chapter 379 - Vampire Attack(Part 5)
Point-of-View: Dracula 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
———————————————————————————
"Can’t we make our move yet, Lord Dracula? Surely it’s been long enough by now?" Sighed Azriel impatiently, a bored look on his face.
We were currently just outside the border of Arcadia, it was myself, Azriel and Caera, along with eighty Vampires and thousands of Lesser Vampires.
"No, not yet, it’s still too soon. There’s no doubt that Arcadia will send backup to the other nations, since they can’t afford to let us grow our forces any further by creating more Vampires and Lesser Vampires. That’s why we shouldn’t rush in just yet, we need to give them enough time to send that backup...if we attack before then, they may panic and opt not to send any backup, which will make it more difficult for us to attack Arcadia. The whole point of this plan is to take down the entire Dark Continent at the same time, so we need to ensure that Arcadia’s forces are sufficiently diminished before attacking," I pointed out with a sigh.
"Yes, but we shouldn’t take too long, my Lord. Several of my Vampires have already been killed, I can sense it. The chances are slim, but if we wait too long, the backup sent to the other nations may return to Arcadia...we wouldn’t want that, now, would we?" Pointed out Caera with a smile.
"Er, yes...you make a good point, I shall account for that," I nodded, averting my gaze as I felt her stare boring into me.
She can be so disconcerting and unsettling, I have trouble dealing with her.
"Well? How much longer are we going to wait?" Inquired Azriel restlessly.
"Fine, we shall move in now...by the time we arrive at the locations we intend to target, their backup will almost certainly have already headed out. But first, before we make our move, let’s quickly go over the plan again...I shall head to the Capital of the nation, along with a third of the Vampires and Lessers we’ve brought here.
Meanwhile, the two of you will fan out and attack the first city you each come across, the rest of our forces will join you. Make sure to find and eliminate the strongest individuals in the location you attack as fast as possible, and then wipe out the rest. And in the unlikely event that you find yourself in a situation where you need to retreat, make sure to use the Magic Item to alert the rest of us," I reminded them, as I held up a rectangular Magic Item.
It had seven small bulbs and a button on it, each of the seven of us were in possession of one. And if any of us retreat, we are to press the button on the device. Doing so will result in one of the bulbs on each of the other six devices to light up, indicating to the rest of us that one of us has retreated.
"Right, and if three or more of the bulbs light up, it means our plan has failed and all of us are to retreat immediately, right?" Recalled Azriel with a nod.
"Yes, that’s right. I highly doubt that will happen, but there’s no harm in having an extra precaution for the worst case scenario. Additionally, if it seems like you’re about to be killed and unable to retreat, press it in that event as well. You had better not let it come to that, though...am I clear?" I warned them.
"Y-yes, my Lord...there’s no need to worry, our victory is all but assured already, this is just a formality. With the moonlight barrier, there isn’t a single being in the entire world who can hope to challenge us," Responded Azriel confidently.
"It’s exactly carelessness like that that could get you killed. Even if it’s lowly humans we’re up against, that’s no reason to be careless. And it is quite disgraceful to be so heavily dependent and reliant on that Magic Item, it implies that you believe we can be defeated if we didn’t have it. You had better not get yourself killed and sully the name of the Elder Vampires," Caera said to him with a smile.
"O-of course not! I would never be killed so easily!" He huffed defensively.
"Forgive me if I harbor some doubts about that..."
"What was that?"
"Enough, both of you...this is no time for in-fighting, save it for later if you must. Now, come...it’s time to make our move," I intervened with a sigh, before spreading out my wings and flying up.
"Ohh, it’s about time! This should be fun," Smirked Azriel as he cracked his knuckles with a gleam in his eyes.
"Indeed...it won’t be much longer now before the entire world is under our control, the era of human civilization will end today," Smiled Caera.
We then split up, our forces of Vampires and Lesser Vampires also splitting up into three groups, following each of us as we flew over the border and entered Arcadia.
Based on our intel, the Capital is on the other side of the nation, so it’ll take a bit of time before I reach it. No matter, it’s only a matter of time before Arcadia, and the rest of the Dark Continent, falls.
We’ve already conquered half the world with taking over the Light Continent, and soon enough, the other half will be in our hands as well.
The strongest individuals in the nation will likely be in the Capital, but it won’t make a difference...with the moonlight barrier and my full power unleashed, there is no one in this entire world who can hold a candle to me.
Not the Dragon Kings, nor the Demon Lord, let alone any humans. They may struggle with all their might, but their struggle will ultimately end in vain...
