Cui Hao withdrew his gaze and returned the notebook to Cai Keke.

"You’re not copying notes anymore?" Cai Keke asked curiously.

Cui Hao shrugged. "Since Xue Yang doesn’t need the notes, I guess I don’t need to copy them either."

After that, he got up and looked around, apparently searching for someone he planned to ask for help with the afternoon’s reporting duties. "I can’t believe a big boss like Xue Yang still comes to the cafeteria to line up for food with everyone," someone whispered.

"Yeah, I figured someone like him would take his girlfriend to fancy restaurants for gourmet meals," another person chimed in.

"Don’t forget, everyone has different tastes," someone else suggested. "Maybe Xue Yang and Lin Xi got tired of all that high-end food and wanted to try our school’s more humble cuisine."

"That’s possible."

After getting their food, the two found a relatively quiet spot to sit. Xue Yang took a book out of his document bag and began studying while he ate.

Lin Xi glanced over, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "Why are you suddenly so studious?" she asked.

Xue Yang smiled slightly. "I’ve always been studious."

Lin Xi picked up a piece of pork rib with her chopsticks and tasted it. "The semester’s almost over, and this is the first time I’ve seen you with a book. You aren’t just cramming because you’re worried about failing, are you?"

Caught red-handed, Xue Yang didn’t get angry. He simply replied nonchalantly, "When it comes to failing, Cui Hao can take the fall. I’m too skilled to fail so easily."

Lin Xi felt a flicker of sympathy for Cui Hao. She then took out her own book and also began to study while eating.

"You’re afraid of failing too?" Xue Yang asked, a little surprised by her action.

Lin Xi looked up and smiled. "As for failing, I think Si Wen alone is more than enough."

Xue Yang nodded in agreement. "You have a point."

The two exchanged a look and a smile, then silently returned to their respective studies. Their focus seemed to cast a quiet calm over the entire cafeteria.

After their meal, they walked over to the supermarket.

It was noon, and the supermarket staff were immersed in the tranquility of their lunch break. Not wanting to disturb anyone, Xue Yang and Lin Xi quietly went to Xue Yang’s office to continue their deep dive into their studies.

Both were top students with sharp minds. On top of that, Gong Lee had specifically organized all the course materials for Xue Yang, so over the course of the midday, he had nearly mastered all the content for his major subjects. As for Lin Xi, who had always been attentive in class, studying now was even more efficient for her.

It wasn’t until the noise from outside shattered the peace that the two reluctantly put their books down.

Just then, Cui Hao pushed the door open. He was a bit embarrassed to see Xue Yang and Lin Xi in the office together, but he quickly composed himself.

However, just as he was about to leave, something on the desk caught his eye.

A sense of foreboding rose within him. He frowned, looking at them with suspicion.

"You guys... you’re not actually... studying here in the middle of the day, are you?" Cui Hao asked, his tone laced with disbelief.

After a brief moment of thought, Cui Hao resolutely decided to join them. He quickly sat down between Xue Yang and Lin Xi, picked up Xue Yang’s economics textbook, and prepared to start studying.

Noticing they were about to discuss work, Lin Xi discreetly shifted to one side of the sofa to give them more space.

"You both did meticulous work. These five companies are all very good. You and Ming Yue can make the final decision."
