Resident Evil: Eddie [EN]
Chapter 373 - 372
Inside the restaurant, this restaurant is very luxurious; there is even a private room for couples.
Under the maid’s guidance, Eddie came to a room that had been decorated in a luxurious style.
In the middle of the room, many kinds of luxurious and delicious food had been prepared.
"The situation in this room is a bit strange; the food smells and looks a bit suspicious. Is it poisoned?" Eddie sat down on a chair, and Jessica and Lisa stood respectfully behind him.
Lisa sniffed the food on the table from a distance and then said. "The food is not poisoned."

*Clap!*
Suddenly there was a sound of applause. A beautiful woman in a night suit walked in.
Indifferent appearance, blonde hair, luxurious jewelry, and skin as white as snow. At first glance, she looks very classy and also charming.
"You must be Eddie. You look younger than I thought."
"For ordinary people, all these foods they can only buy after working hard for a few years. To say that these foods appear to be poisoned is truly impolite."
The cute woman sneered. Her demeanor seems welcoming, but actually, she doesn’t seem like she wants to be close to people or even talk to people who are not classy.
"I only care whether I can eat it or not. As long as it doesn’t taste too bad, I won’t mind eating cheap food."
"I wasted my precious time to come here, I hope you are not wasting mine." Eddie said nonchalantly.
"Want one?" Eddie threw his herbal cigarette like a local hooligan.
She caught the cigarette pack and smelled it.
"Nice cigarette, you really amazed me."
"Can you tell me why you left Umbrella?" The woman said as she lit her cigarette.
"I don’t even know who you are, and you want me to tell you that?" Eddie wouldn’t easily tell anything that he thought should be kept secret, especially to people he didn’t know.
Even if she was very gorgeous, he would not tell her.
As he spoke, Eddie silently glanced towards the exit. With his excellent hearing, he could hear that special forces were standing guard outside the room.
It seemed that she wasn’t going to give him a chance to come out at all.
Noticing Eddie’s doubts, she smiled. "Don’t worry, it’s just a preparatory step. You know, sometimes things can turn out the way you didn’t want, I don’t really trust you anyway."
"My name is Christine Verano, nice to meet you." Christine said.
"Hmm?"
"Shouldn’t it be Henry?" Eddie raised his eyebrows, looking at the woman with a strange look.
That’s right, the woman he met this time was none other than the legendary figure from Umbrella!
"Marriage is not worth changing my surname."
"Henry is just a code name." Christine said as she blew out the smoke.
"Okay, Ms. Christine, so what do you want from me?"
"Want to make me join back into Umbrella? Or want to kidnap me and give my corpse to that old man?" Eddie asked, picking up the Foie Gras on the table.
"Before I answer that question, please answer mine first."
"Why did you choose to leave Umbrella?" Christine asked with a smile. The cigarettes she smoked made her feel better.
Her irritable mood had now been eased by the herbal cigarettes, which was a good thing.
"Umbrella is a ship that will sink, everyone knows that Umbrella will sink sooner or later. Can’t you see this kind of thing?"
"For that old man, he is an unpredictable old fox. No one knows what he’s really up to. What’s clear is that he doesn’t have a ’good’ plan." Eddie said after finishing all food available on the table.
The only thing left was two bottles of red wine that were tens of years old.
Noticing Eddie’s gaze, Christine said. "If you want the wine then pour it for yourself. I don’t want to drink it, thank you."
"I didn’t say I was going to give it to you. I’m not a gentleman, just a serious man." he sneered.
"Hehe, interesting. Even if Umbrella were to sink, it wouldn’t happen in a day or two."
"Sometimes you don’t need to get out that fast, the proof is Alex still hasn’t left."
"Don’t you want to work with a beautiful woman like her...or me?" Christine teases.
"Everyone has their own ideals."
"It can’t be denied that I really like working with cute women, but if my and their interests are different, then I don’t need to work with them."
"Okay, enough with the pleasantries, just say what you want." Eddie looked at the woman seriously.
Christine suddenly stood up and walked to the cherry tree in the room. Picking up the cherry blossoms with her white gloves, Christine threw them toward the small spring in the room.
Turning her back to Eddie, Christine said. "The French branch doesn’t have what you want... It’s a romantic city and there are lots of beauties too. Even though it’s been polluted by a number of things, there’s still something bright among those tainted trashes..."
"Don’t try to spy on my site again." Christine said while looking into the man’s eyes.
"Eh, hello? Lady, maybe you’re mistaken? I haven’t even been to your base, and the person you’re looking for is definitely not me." Eddie waved his hand with an innocent expression.
"Then why are you in my territory now?" Christine sneered.
There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with what she said. This is her territory, but why does that sound weird?
"Okay, lady, I don’t have time for this nonsense, and I’m not interested in your stuff."
"Stick with your wreck, and I’ll live in my new ship. Don’t try to get in my way." Eddie stood.
Lifting the wine bottle, Eddie looked at it with a boring look. "The newest medicine mixed in red wine, it’s both invisible and smelless, interesting..."
"Sorry, but you’re looking for the wrong person, there are a lot of big slong out there." Essie sneered.
"Don’t say those dirty things. I have a video of you on Sheena Island. You need to know, once Spencer and Sergei find out about your secret, you know what they’re going to do, right?"
"Tell me about your experiment and I’ll help keep it a secret." Christine snorted angrily.
