As the sanctum stabilised, the leader lady looked at everyone with a very kind eyes. Then she joined her hand together in a praying posture and immediately twelve extremely powerful looking winged creatures appeared around her.

All of these winged creatures which could roughly be called angels, they were all above the level of 8000. This was actually an insane display.

Summoners were not very uncommon in the universe. But in the really high levels, seeing a summoner was very unusual because of a very simple reason. The summoners were weak themselves. And almost no level 8000 plus being would be willing to become a summon or servant for someone else.

That was why, this lady being able to summon 12 beings of extreme power was something truly astonishing. But Elena or anyone who was familiar with an universal grade item were not surprised by this.

Universal grade items were very strong. So Elena was sure that this ability to summon 12 high level angel like being was most probably only a basic function of this item.

So as soon as the angels appeared, Elena trapped them inside her barrier. And as these angles were not as string as the peak level 8999 powerhouse, they were unable to break through the barriers so easily.

But the leader lady did not panic after seeing this. Instead she activated some other kind of ability of this universal grade item. Immediately the angles turned into light and managed to bypass the barrier and got out of it.

Elena was surprised and impressed by this. Even though these barriers were not the best ones that she was capable of creating, they were not bad by any means. So completely bypassing it was quite impressive.

With this method, Elena was sure that even the barrier of a level 9000 plus supreme could be bypassed. And after the lights got out, they went to the lady and merged with her body.

Then a pair of large white wings appered on her back. But this was only just a minor change. The main change was in the aura that this kindly smiling lady was giving off. It was off the charts and several times greater than before.

Currently, this lady’s aura and presence was almost at the same level as a supreme. Obviously without taking the final step, she could not become a real supreme no matter how much boost in power she could get.

But even then, with her current level of strength, she should even be able to battle a supreme as equals for some time. So she could very well declare herself to be a half step supreme at this point.

But, this powerful mode was not very sustainable. Elena was able to feel that the soul of this person was continuously getting weaker and weaker as time was passing.

In a small orphanage, seven children were playing around. Their orphanage was located in a very luxurious city that was a famous tourist spot. So most of the inhabitants of the city were extremely rich.

But this richness was not extended to the orphanage. All seven of the young girls here were wearing clothings with patches and they also looked a little malnourished.

While playing hide and seek, the children made sure that their caretaker grandma was not looking. Then taking that opportunity, they left the orphanage.

When those two returned back after about two hours, both of them were sweating a lot and were breathless. But they were also holding quite a few bread buns in their hands.

This nameless orphanage was home to these seven young ladies and also the only place they knew about. But as this place was very poor, these ladies needed to steal in order to even fill half of their belly.

This was a very harsh life but the young ladies were satisfied with it. Their bond was very strong and they also loved the caretaker grandma.

So the little ladies were trying to find a happy life even in super harsh conditions like this. But they had no idea that this orphanage was related something way darker than anything that they knew about.

Suddenly one day, a few people came here. After seeing them, suddenly the attitude of the kind caretaker grandma became different. Probably because they all were young children, they were able to sense this change very easily and extremely clearly.

After this, a time of nightmare started for the ladies. It turned out that this orphanage was related to some kind of dark and evil force which needed the children for some kind of experiments. They had several orphanages like this and now it was time for the children of this orphanage to be taken away.

After taking all seven of them away in front of the laughing and rejoicing caretaker who was happy that she was now free, the ladies were made to participate in several horrible experiments from morning to the late nights.

Even then, the ladies were still able to maintain their sanity because they had each other. Fortunately, all seven of them were taken to the same facility and were made to suffer together and not alone.

This lasted for over 10 years. But one day, after one experiment had gone wrong, one of the ladies ended up getting her while body destroyed. She obviously died because of this.

Something like this was very common for the researchers here. So they were nonchalant about this and were simply going to replace the annihilated sample with a different one.

But it was a completely different story for the ladies. One of their companion had just died. The bond between them was the only thing that was keeping the ladies sane. But now that a part of their bond was suddenly gone, something break inside all the remaining ladies.
