After refining both of the worlds, suddenly all seven of them were struck by a curse. And the source of this curse was the will of the worlds that they had destroyed just now.

The world destroyer who was defeated by Elena was also effected by several curses of this kind. But that thing was just way too strong and it was capable of even Devouring the curses to gain more strength.

But the ladies had no way to prevent the curse from taking effect. And the effects of this curse was for them to suffer the same pain and helplessness that the powerless inhabitants of this now destroyed world had felt at the moment of their demise.

This curse had two major effects on the ladies. Firstly, they actually managed to sympathise with the powerless inhabitants and genuinely felt bad about what they had done. They understood that they had became way too self absorbed and had stopped looking at the wider world.

The reason for this was obviously the decade long torturous experiments that they had to go through. During that time and after getting betrayed by the grandma of the orphanage, they had unconsciously started to see everyone else in the world other than they themselves to be their enemies, which was not the case at all.

That was why they had felt nothing when they were refining the world and killed billions of people. But after experiencing this curse, they again started to remember how there were kind shopkeepers who had intentionally left food in positions which made them easier to be stolen and how they had kindly smiled when it was actually stolen by the girls.

There were also people who had given them used warm clothing in the winter. Many children had not insulted them and had even played with them. These were all precious childhood memories for the ladies but they had forgotten all of this in their pain and suffering.

Other than this regretful feelings, there was a second change that had happened to the ladies. They were already very hungry about gaining more power and becoming even stronger. But they were still missing something.

These ladies had extremely powerful willpower so their desires could became very strong. That was exactly what had awakened the fragments of the evil one.

But the desires that the ladies had for gaining strength was no where near at that same level. They felt like getting even stronger would be better but that was all.

But after experiencing this curse they truly learnt about what it felt to have no hope in the face of overwhelming power. And this feeling was something that they did not want to experience ever again.

So the ladies finally got the true desire to gain even more strength. And they were determined to fulfill this goal. With that in mind, they started their journey again but this time around, they decided to never harm weak and innocent people for no reason in search for greater strength.

This way, the ladies gained strength continuously and became very powerful. Soon they went above the level of 8000 and became one of the strongest powerhouses in the whole universe.

So far, their journey had been smooth sailing. They had protected many worlds from the shadows and had tried to do more good deeds to make up for the bad deeds that they had done in the past.

But after reaching the level of 8999, they suddenly noticed that they were unable to progress anymore. And the reason for this blockade was their own heart.

In this long journey of theirs, they had never managed to forgive themselves for doing something so unnecessary and stupid like destroying their own home world. And this fact had became a barrier that had stopped them from taking the last step in the path of becoming a supreme.

In the meantime, the ladies had managed to actually get their hands on an universal grade item even though this item mostly only listened to only one of them. But as all the ladies were connected, it was able to help all the ladies in finding a path to reaching the peak of this universe.

And the path that was shown to them was very simple. They could do two things to go past this mental barrier. Firstly, they could try to destroy a world just like before and without feeling any guilt this time around. And if they could accomplish this, then the mental blockade should disappear.

This was the simplest way to solve the problem. But obviously the ladies were not willing to do this. So they could only choose the other, much harder option.

And that option was for them to gain control over a supreme rank powerhouse. This was extremely hard, almost impossible. But even then, this was the best method available to the ladies.

This way, they would stop thinking that a supreme was a very big deal. That should also sucessfully remove the barriers for the ladies. But this was definitely not an easy thing to do.

That was the whole story as for why these ladies were trying to get their hands on the Otrefiona Emperor. Taking control over him was not the main objective. That was only the process in fulfilling the main one.

After learning this and also about the journey that these ladies had, Elena felt a very complex feeling. At the beginning, these ladies were similar to something that had given her the title of the Destroyer Killer. But at the current moment, nothing of that was left in them. They had regretted what they had done, changed themselves for better and had tried to redeem themselves. And the result of that had been quite fruitful.

For the ladies, destroying a world or two was not a big deal at this moment. So they could have easily solved the problem and would have become a supreme way sooner. But they did not do something like that and did not take the easier path out. This was something that Elena respected.

So as the main objective was not the capture of Draegor, Elena decided to help them out. As for their conflict with the Otrefiona Emperor, these two could talk or fight that out later on.

As for how Elena was going to help them, she actually had a third method that the Universal grade item was not aware of. Which was to make her learn about the universes beyond this universe. After learning about the vastness of the omniverse, the realm of a supreme would not look that special to these ladies anymore.

This was how Elena was planning to end the whole conflict.
