Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy - Chapter 431 - 433: Dog eat dog, a mouthful of hair [5/5]
The Phoenix danced in the sky above Peach Blossom Spring, its resplendent and dazzling form capturing everyone’s attention!
"Well said. As descendants of Yan and Huang, we ought to have mettle. Better to shatter like jade than remain intact as a tile!" Wu Tian, standing atop the Phoenix, praised the people of Peach Blossom Spring. He had managed to reach the Underground World because he had done his research beforehand. Many passages on the surface led down into this realm, but Wu Tian had not wanted to take just any random cave. As luck would have it, he had stumbled upon this very scene!
The extinction of the Fusangs... it must be the will of Heaven!
Wu Tian’s eyes turned icy as he stared down at Toyotomi Hidekata and his men. "You Fusangs... it is time for your people to be exterminated!"
Exterminated? Having already destroyed our country of Fusang, you now want to wipe out our entire race? Toyotomi Hidekata and the other lords were aghast.
Wu Tian’s words were so cold they seemed to chill the very air, causing everyone’s hair to stand on end. They were filled with dread and fear, as if the one speaking was not a man, but a Ghost God from the Nine Heavens. His cold gaze alone was enough to make one’s scalp tingle, as if they had been plunged into hell.
At that moment, Wu Tian pointed a finger into the mid-air. Instantly, a Blood Glow shot downwards like a crimson comet.
"Dodge!"
Toyotomi Hidekata, the other Shogunate lords, and their subordinates all retreated hastily, but they were far too slow for the Blood Glow. In this world, there was nothing its crimson light could not slice through.
"AH!"
A single streak cut down dozens of men in a row, sending blood spraying everywhere! Even Toyotomi Hidekata was caught; his right arm was cleanly severed. He screamed in agony while the other Shogunate lords scrambled back, their faces aghast with horror.
That man is riding a Phoenix... is he the Martial God Wu Tian from the surface? How can he be so powerful? What kind of Cultivation miracle has he obtained?
The Shogunate lords swallowed nervously, realizing they couldn’t see through Wu Tian’s Cultivation level at all. He must have cultivated some technique that conceals his true power. Was it from Mount Shu? Changliu? Or Kunlun? Just which Cultivation legacy did he discover?
"Today, the Underground World will see the end of the Shogunate and the end of Fusang! You will all be wiped out, and not a single blade of grass will be left!" Wu Tian’s eyes were filled with a cold indifference to life.
In his view, the Fusangs were no longer human. They are dogs. They are insects. They are pests. As such, they must be eradicated!
"What are you afraid of? The chance for vengeance for our country and kin is right before us!" Seeing his compatriots cowering—a sharp contrast to the people of Peach Blossom Spring, who faced death without fear—Toyotomi Hidekata became furious. My Fusang bloodline, descended from the great Amaterasu, how can it be inferior to the descendants of Yan and Huang?
He roared, "There are so many of us, and only one of him! We are not the mere Self-Defense Forces of Fusang; every one of us is an Immortal Seeker! We can overwhelm him with sheer numbers, burying him under a mountain of our bodies if we have to!"
The other members of the Shogunate hesitated. Wu Tian had demonstrated a level of power far beyond their reach, and they knew they had gravely underestimated his capabilities. The other Shogunate lords and their subordinates did not want to die. If they could avoid a fight, they would. They would even bow their heads and pledge allegiance to Wu Tian. As long as they could survive, what did Fusang pride or the dignity of their people matter? Life, of course, was far more important.
"What are you all standing there for?" Seeing the others refuse to move, Toyotomi Hidekata bellowed in rage, "Charge! Kill him!"
"Long live Great Fusang!"
BOOM!
The roar echoed through the subterranean mountain range.
"Long live Great Fusang!"
"Long live Great Fusang!"
Wu Tian merely let out a cold laugh. His aura grew even more formidable, and the very space around him seemed to tremble before his might. Wherever his cold gaze landed became a vision of hell itself. Anyone caught in his line of sight was terrified to the brink of death.
Suddenly, Wu Tian pointed down at Toyotomi Hidekata. "Kill him," he commanded.
The people of Peach Blossom Spring were completely baffled. Who was the man on the Phoenix ordering? Who here could possibly kill Toyotomi Hidekata?
They couldn’t know that Wu Tian’s voice was like a demonic siren song, with the power to tug at the heartstrings and bewitch the mind. The other Shogunate lords and their subordinates were suddenly struck by a vision: the scene of their own gruesome deaths if they dared to disobey.
Snapping back to reality, they shivered violently. They clenched their fists, drew their blades, and cracked their knuckles as their Yuan Energy surged wildly. To everyone’s astonishment, their target was not Wu Tian, but Toyotomi Hidekata.
"What... What has gotten into you all?" Toyotomi Hidekata stammered, clutching his bleeding stump. The pain, combined with the sudden betrayal, made his legs tremble as he staggered backward. "But we’re on the same side!"
His eyes were wide with utter shock and disbelief. We are all Fusangs! How could they obey the Martial God of the Dragon Country? What in the world is happening? He couldn’t comprehend it at all, but he knew his chances of survival were slim. Each of the other Shogunate lords was his equal in strength, and now, even their subordinates were looking at him with murder in their eyes. And he? He was missing an arm.
Toyotomi Hidekata was terrified.
"We searched for the trail of immortals together!" he pleaded desperately. "We cultivated together! Great Fusang has already fallen; we are all people without a home! We should be united! Don’t be afraid of Wu Tian! We can fight him together! Better to be a shattered jade than an intact tile!"
As the words left his mouth, he froze. He had just called the people of Peach Blossom Spring fools for believing in such a principle. He never thought he would be the one to say it.
But the other Shogunate lords and their subordinates weren’t listening. They converged on him together. They wanted him dead.
Immediately, they clashed with Toyotomi Hidekata, fighting with a frenzied, chaotic abandon.
"Dogs fighting dogs. What a pathetic mess," Wu Tian sneered contemptuously from atop the Phoenix. So much for the noble Fusangs, who look down on the people of Dragon Country. The Fusangs themselves are nothing but a joke!
Uninterested in watching the pack of dogs tear itself apart, Wu Tian turned his gaze toward Peach Blossom Spring. He, too, had studied the "Records of Peach Blossom Spring" and had once yearned to see its legendary beauty. But upon his arrival, he had found nothing but a sea of flames.
"A landscape like this should not be allowed to vanish," he declared. "As descendants of Yan and Huang, you people of Peach Blossom Spring have preserved a noble character. You deserve a reward!"
Wu Tian smiled slightly. Standing atop the Phoenix, his presence was like that of a Heavenly God.
The people of Peach Blossom Spring glanced at one another, wondering what kind of reward this man could possibly give them. They watched as he formed a sword-finger with his right hand, used it to slice open the middle finger of his left hand, and let the blood drip onto the earth. They and Yuan Beizheng stared in puzzlement, wondering what he was doing.
But in the next moment, everyone’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets in shock.
The sea of flames vanished without a trace. The medicinal fields reappeared, completely restored and seemingly untouched by the fire.
And that wasn’t all...
