"Mrs. Blake, your husband has been kidnapped by Titan Crest Entertainment. Can you tell us when it happened and how?" Linda asked, her tone formal and steady. She extended her hand, moving the mike to Mrs. Blake’s lips.

"It happened three days ago." Mrs. Blake spoke into the mic, wearing a depressed expression, her eyes slightly red and teary. "He had gone to meet his friends around 9 pm at night, but when he didn’t return, I started to get worried and called his friends." Her voice trembled and her eyes widened slightly with fear. "They told me that my husband had already left and they didn’t know where he was. The next day, I received a call, threatening me to persuade Aren to keep his mouth shut and not drag Titan Crest Entertainment into the matter."

Linda nodded, bringing the mike to her lips before sympathetically asking, "Did you call Mr. Aren Frost after that?"

"Of course," Mrs. Blake said in a matter-of-fact tone. "I called him right away and asked him to surrender to Titan Crest Entertainment for his father’s sake, but..." Her expression then changed, anger revealing itself. "That ungrateful son didn’t listen to me at all. He said he wouldn’t abandon a victim, and it wasn’t something his father would want from him. That thankless brat, abandoning his father for a girl, hmph!" She snorted as she clenched her fists.

The interview continued for a long while as Mrs. Blake cried in front of the camera, pleading for the release of her husband. She also implored Titan Crest Entertainment to not punish them for something Aren did. She and her family weren’t supporting him at all.

Of course, this new video went viral in an instant. Clips of each question were posted separately on snips. This video added to the ongoing scandal, feeding the public’s hunger for any new news.

They had been eagerly awaiting any new evidence to confirm that Titan Crest Entertainment was truly evil and was not being accused wrongly, as they claimed.

This press conference was different from the previous one, because this time, he intended to give answers instead of escaping with some excuse.

Last time, they didn’t have a scapegoat to pass all the irrefutable crimes to; however, now that they had Caleb Pitts, a man ready to admit to all the crimes, they could conduct question-and-answer sessions with the reporters.

This would help to wash their image even further.

In a row, Neil, Iris, Caleb, and a few other executives of Titan Crest Entertainment sat with mics before them. Reporters crowded on chairs in front of them.

"You all can ask questions," Neil announced calmly.

The reporters raised their hands as the host chose one of them.

"Mr. Caleb, do you admit to everything that Mr. Chairman claimed about you in his video?"

Caleb nodded and spoke into the mic. "I’m ashamed... but everything I did was to protect my son. A parent cannot abandon their child no matter how evil they might be."

Flashes of camera painted Caleb’s resolute face white as the reporter nodded, scribbling on his notepad immediately after.

Soon, another reporter was chosen to ask a question.

"Mr. Caleb, today an interview claimed that Titan Crest Entertainment was the one behind Aren’s father’s kidnapping. Was it you behind it as well?"

Caleb shook his head. "That is a false accusation. Neither I nor anyone else from Titan Crest Entertainment targeted any of the victims’ family."

"Mr. Neil, is it true you were unaware of Lucian’s actions beforehand? The victims claimed that they had approached you and you weren’t kind about it. Are they lying? If yes, then what do you think their motives are to lie about this?"

Neil began answering as Aren watched the whole press conference on his phone, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

This was the moment he was waiting for, the ultimate trap where Titan Crest Entertainment would lose due to their own actions.

Neil would think that he was winning this battle.

He would be disillusioned that Titan Crest Entertainment would be able to survive and leave with minor damage to its reputation.

He must be thinking this press conference would be his redeeming grace, something that would help him dispel the accusations; however, this day would initiate his doom. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

However, his doom wouldn’t come in an instant. It would come slow, mirroring a coiling snake, squeezing the life out of him and his company.

Meanwhile, in the press conference, after a long round of questions and answers, one reporter asked the question Aren had been waiting for.

"Miss Iris... Miss Lisa claimed that you went to the sets of Symphony of Shadows and threatened her and Mr. Aren. You even threatened to hurt their families and end their careers. Soon after, they lost their roles and were blacklisted. Can you tell us the truth about what actually happened?"
