Chapter 509: Blow Your Head Off
"Xu Yicheng is my grandfather, and I am from the Zhonghai Kong Family."
Kong Lingwen directly revealed her identity, believing that with a gun in the opponent’s hand, her Kong Family status would deter them from acting recklessly.
"Zhonghai Kong Family?"
Cheng Zhijie was momentarily stunned, then burst into laughter, "Sister, don’t joke around. If you were really from the Zhonghai Kong Family, why didn’t those two old folks mention it earlier?"
"You two sure are bold, daring to intrude on my turf!"
Just as he finished speaking, the sound of hurried footsteps came from outside. Dozens of men dressed as thugs rushed in, each holding iron rods.
Kong Lingwen panicked instantly. She thought that revealing her Kong Family identity would intimidate Cheng Zhijie into submitting and seeking peace, but he didn’t believe her at all.
"I’m not lying. My name is Kong Lingwen, daughter of Kong Jingshan. If you dare harm me, my dad won’t spare you." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
She shouted nervously, yet still shielded Yang Cheng.
Yang Cheng was somewhat moved. This woman claimed not to care about him, but if she didn’t like him, why would she protect him?
Seeing Kong Lingwen so determined, Cheng Zhijie felt unsure and instructed the thugs, "Don’t act yet. Keep an eye on these two while I make a call."
Kong Lingwen turned to Yang Cheng and whispered, "We miscalculated. We should’ve hired some big guys to come with us. You should sneak out and call the police. If we both stay, we’re definitely going to get beaten."
"I’m not leaving. That guy clearly means you harm. If I leave, I’m worried something will happen to you."
Yang Cheng shook his head without hesitation. Leaving now would be like abandoning Kong Lingwen, a lamb among wolves.
Besides, he hadn’t taken any action yet, just wanting to see what tricks Cheng Zhijie had up his sleeve.
"Don’t worry. These guys are no match for me."
Yang Cheng said confidently.
"But he has a gun. If he really starts shooting..."
Just the thought made Kong Lingwen anxious, insisting Yang Cheng leave first.
At this point, Cheng Zhijie had already dialed a number, smiling fawningly, "Young Master Kong, it’s Cheng Zhijie. I’m really sorry to disturb you."
"Speak quickly. I don’t have time to chat with you."
The other party’s tone was unfriendly, clearly not considering Cheng Zhijie worth his time.
Cheng Zhijie didn’t get angry at all, instead asking like a lapdog, "There’s a woman named Kong Lingwen causing trouble here. She claims she’s from the Kong Family, the daughter of the Family Head. Do you have a sister or an older sister?"
Hearing this, Kong Lingwen realized that Cheng Zhijie was calling her half-brother, Kong Lingchuan.
There was a pause on the other end, followed by Kong Lingchuan’s cold laughter, "My parents only gave birth to me. I have no siblings!"
"I got it. Sorry for bothering you over something so trivial."
Cheng Zhijie apologized repeatedly, but the call was abruptly ended, the other party having no time for his nonsense.
"Damn! You liar! You sounded so convincing that I thought you were telling the truth, and you were just playing me!"
"Made me lose face in front of Young Master Kong. Today I’m going to sleep with you right here!"
Cheng Zhijie tossed the phone aside, looking at Kong Lingwen angrily.
The dozens of thugs present all showed excited expressions, their eyes roaming over Kong Lingwen’s chest and hips.
They’d never seen such a stunning woman before. Even if they couldn’t actually go all the way, seeing such a live show would be satisfying enough.
"That bastard Kong Lingchuan, daring to set me up. I’ll deal with him when I return!"
Kong Lingwen flushed with anger. She and her brother Kong Lingchuan had never gotten along, but she hadn’t expected him to deny her identity at such a critical moment.
"Cheng Zhijie, I’m warning you one last time. I really am Kong Jingshan’s daughter, just infrequently return home. If you touch me, my dad will have you chopped and fed to the dogs."
Her words weren’t exaggerated. Her dad might be a scoundrel, but he did have some genuine affection for his daughter.
If he learned she was beaten or violated, he wouldn’t spare anyone who bullied her.
"At this point, you’re still acting with me! Why not award you an Oscar for Best Actress!"
Cheng Zhijie burst into laughter.
"All of you, go break that guy’s legs, leaving the girl for me to personally handle!"
He waved his hand, showing a lecherous smile.
Just looking at Kong Lingwen’s figure and face made him unbelievably excited, his recently deflated part even hinting at rising again.
Having lived indulgently in his youth, he struggled with these things by his mid-thirties, needing medication to maintain normal activity.
Now, with the effects of the pills fading, he could still react to her, thinking if he kept her, she might give him a big fat son.
The thugs brandished their iron rods and began to approach Yang Cheng.
Kong Lingwen kept retreating, sweat forming on her nervous forehead.
Yang Cheng held her slender waist, instinctively protecting her behind him. As an iron rod swung towards them, he grabbed it.
With a counter-twist, there was a crack, and the thug’s wrist was broken, releasing the rod in pain.
After seizing the rod, Yang Cheng swung it fiercely, knocking down the thugs wherever he struck.
Dealing with these ordinary people, he didn’t need to use True Qi. Just a bit of force and they’d be dead.
Even with controlled power, several were severely injured, bleeding from the head, lying on the ground in uncertain conditions.
Cheng Zhijie was lost in fantasies about having Kong Lingwen under him when he lifted his head to find his men down all over.
He quickly raised his gun, aiming it at Yang Cheng’s head, threatening loudly, "Drop the rod, or I’ll blow your head off!"
Yang Cheng stopped, finding around only a few thugs remaining.
The braver ones were down, while the rest, regaining composure, stared at Yang Cheng like they had seen a ghost.
"Why are you standing there? Come on! I have a gun; he won’t dare fight back."
Cheng Zhijie shouted, prompting the hesitant thugs to advance.
Yang Cheng ignored them, raising the rod and striking again.
"Damn! You really dared continue, I’ll kill you today!"
Cheng Zhijie cursed fiercely.
Yang Cheng moved back and forth quickly. Cheng Zhijie struggled to aim, while the thugs were too scared to stand firm.
