S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill
Chapter 110: The Dungeon in the Sky and Beatrice’s Request
When Ryan stated that he knew exactly where the perfect location to relocate the village would be, everyone gathered around the table waited in breathless anticipation for what he would say next.
Silence claimed the meeting room as the elven elders kept their eyes fixed on the young man, waiting for an answer that would guarantee their continued survival.
Ryan remained calm, absorbing the heavy pressure of the atmosphere.
He turned and regarded the alchemist with an analytical expression, seeking to confirm the theory he had already formulated in his mind.
"I imagine that what will actually be relocated is the portal that connects to this village. Or am I mistaken?"
The alchemist smiled and replied with a tone that denoted absolute confidence in her knowledge.
"Yes, in theory, the village is a space isolated from the outside world. I would say it is like another dimension, something similar to what occurs within a dungeon. Although the entrance is in the forest, that does not truly mean the village is physically located within the woods."
Mika adjusted her posture, making it clear that the concept was complex but fundamental to the relocation plan they were designing.
Then Karol chimed in.
"But if that is the case, then why do you require so much power to relocate the village, or rather, that portal?"
Karol hesitated for a second before continuing.
"Is it not just moving the entrance from one point to another? I mean, isn’t it enough to simply move the portal rift to a new, secure location?"
The mage looked at Ryan and then at the alchemist, waiting for someone to clarify why they needed a relic with such immense power.
Runa stepped closer to the table.
"I will explain it so it is clear once and for all."
The dwarf made a short pause, observing Karol with a serious gaze.
"The space within the portal is not meant to be manipulated in such a crude manner. From what I understand, this was achieved through the unique talent of the ancient king of the elves. Attempting to interfere with an external power without the proper caution could completely destroy this place."
Runa looked at all the elders, whose faces turned pale at the mention of potential total destruction.
"If we force the relocation without the necessary stability, the space will collapse, and everything will vanish without the option to ever create such a thing again. And I know you are aware—you cannot walk through the world so freely."
She placed her hands on the table.
"Thus, this core functions as a fundamental protective barrier during the process. The relic will keep this space stable so that we can seal the entrance to the village and anchor it elsewhere."
Karol did not offer an opinion after hearing that, and she seemed to agree with the blacksmith’s brief explanation.
The mage nodded slowly, as if acknowledging that dwarven relic engineering had a logic that escaped her own understanding.
Then, agreeing and stating that she understood, Karol looked directly at Ryan to ask the final question.
"Fine, I think I have understood it well enough. Now tell us where this place is. Is it...?"
Ryan closed his eyes for a moment and crossed his arms.
"Yes, it is exactly the place you are thinking of. It is the dungeon in the sky."
"The sky dungeon?"
The elders asked at the same time.
Then Ryan told them that the first time they arrived at this village was by chance, after falling from that S-rank dungeon in the sky.
’Though I did not expect I would return to this place again, and in this manner.’
He knew that luck had played in his favor on that occasion, and now he planned to use that same advantage to hide.
"That place is near the village. Even so, it is incredibly difficult for anyone to find. And for now, it is the best location we have to disappear from the Church’s maps."
Ryan spoke with a certainty that left no room for rebuttals or doubts regarding his decision.
While the silence held, Kenia looked at the rest of the elders, urging them to trust the man who had already saved them on several occasions.
"He is our king now, and he has shown that his plans, however insane they may seem, actually work."
No one dared to doubt in the hall, and the atmosphere of uncertainty faded away. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Then the blacksmith and the alchemist stated that they would get to work immediately and took the relic from the table.
They mentioned that they expected to have everything ready in just a few days if they encountered no unexpected problems in the forge.
The meeting concluded with a gesture from Ryan, allowing everyone to withdraw and begin their preparations.
They left the hall, walking along the village paths under the soft light of the sunset.
Karol said she wanted to see how they worked on the relic and went with the dwarf and the alchemist toward the workshop.
The mage was fascinated by the process of combining elven alchemy with dwarven smithing under the power of a legendary relic.
Kenia asked Irina if they could speak privately about some pending matters.
So Ryan was left alone with Beatrice.
Ryan remarked that he wanted to rest for a bit and organize his thoughts, and he headed toward his new house, the one that formerly belonged to the ancient King.
Then, Beatrice followed him, and once they arrived, they went into the king’s office, which was right next to Ryan’s bedroom. It was a space that functioned as a place for study or brief meetings.
’I know she does not usually talk much, but it is strange that she is being so quiet.’
The demon remained in silence, following Ryan.
When they were both inside the office, he sat on the edge of the desk while she stood before him.
"Is there something bothering you?" Ryan asked with a calm tone in his voice.
"It is just that... I wanted to ask your permission for something important..."
Ryan looked at her intently before responding.
"It is fine. You know you can ask me for whatever you want."
She looked down, showing an obvious tension in her shoulders. Then she looked up, staring him straight in the eyes.
And finally, she let out what was on her mind.
"I want you to allow me to go to the domains of Demon King Ophelia..."
