Saving The Monster Race Starts With Breeding The Elf Village
Chapter 319: The Primordial One
Luca’s eyes widened with surprise.
"You mean crazy as in ’should be sent to a mental asylum’ crazy?"
"Exactly." She nodded grimly. "And it’s not even the type of patient you could just keep in a cell. It’s more like the type you have to put in a straitjacket because of how dangerous and unpredictable they are."
She shuddered. "That’s how far gone her mind is right now."
"So..." He muttered to himself. "...I basically got sabotaged by a lunatic Goddess."
A disbelieving chuckle escaped his lips.
"That’s...That’s just..."
But the Goddess of Space, despite everything, couldn’t allow him to mock the Goddess of Fertility too harshly.
She quickly added, her voice taking on a solemn note.
"Don’t misunderstand, Luca. The Goddess of Fertility has not always been such a manic person."
Luca’s laughter died in his throat. He looked at her, his interest piqued.
"She used to be a dignified and respected Goddess in the past." The Goddess continued, her voice filling with genuine admiration. "Someone that every goddess looked up to. Even myself, when I was much younger, thought of her as an idol."
A soft, nostalgic smile played on her lips.
"Whether it was the grace with which she walked, or the way every single movement of hers was so elegant and dignified—just looking at her, she gave off a noble image."
"She had so many followers, even up in the Heavenly Realm. She was basically a queen ruling over us all."
The Goddess’s eyes grew distant. "She truly was a Goddess that everyone aspired to be."
Luca stared at her, completely stunned.
The same Goddess who had created those lewd dreams—she had once been a figure of such reverence?
He couldn’t help but ask, his voice filled with genuine curiosity.
"If she was really such a dignified being that everyone looked up to, then why the hell did she become the lunatic she is right now?"
The moment the question left his lips, a look of tragedy settled over the Goddess of Space’s face.
Her eyes grew shadowed, filled with an ancient sorrow.
"It really was an unfortunate event." She said softly. "And honestly, I shouldn’t even be speaking to you about this right now."
"It’s considered completely taboo to mention it to others."
She looked around warily, as if checking for any hidden observers. Then, with a flick of her hand, she gestured toward him.
Luca’s chair glided forward until he was sitting directly in front of her, close enough to see every nuance of her expression.
Up close, despite her exhaustion, she was still breathtakingly beautiful.
There was a holiness to her features, a divine radiance that even her fatigue couldn’t fully diminish. It made Luca’s heart race for just a moment before he pushed the feeling aside.
The Goddess leaned in, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.
"She had an unfortunate event happen in the past." She began. "A disagreement with a certain higher deity."
The moment she mentioned the higher deity, a look of genuine fear flickered across her face. It was strange and unsettling to see—even a goddess like her was terrified of this so-called higher entity.
"Because of that disagreement, with neither party willing to back down, the higher being on the other side became fed up."
She raised one finger, her hand trembling slightly.
"She made one move. Just one."
Luca watched her finger, his breath catching in his throat.
"And the Goddess of Fertility, despite how powerful she already was, could do nothing against her at all."
"She was instantly wounded by that one attack. And it wasn’t her mortal body that was injured."
She paused, her eyes growing distant.
"It was her very soul that fractured."
A heavy silence fell between them.
"And because of that she permanently lost all the grace she had before. Her thoughts scattered, completely disordered. She became the broken person she is today."
She let out a deep, heavy sigh, one that seemed to come from the very depths of her soul.
"It truly was a horrible tragedy."
Luca sat in stunned silence. He had never expected such a revelation.
The Goddess of Fertility—the chaotic, insane, sexually unhinged deity who had ruined his life twice now had apparently been a completely different person before.
A victim of some cosmic tragedy.
"Hold on a second?" He blurted out, unable to contain himself. "Are the Heavens always like this?"
The Goddess of Space snapped out of her daze, looking at him with surprise.
Luca continued, his voice laced with bewilderment.
"I thought the Heavens would be much more peaceful, you know. It’s heaven after all, a place that’s supposed to be a paradise."
He leaned in closer, his curiosity overwhelming his caution.
"But the way you make it seem, the Heavens would be much more dangerous than the mortal world!"
"And that makes me wonder if it’s quite common for goddesses to clash with each other and completely destroy their souls?
The Goddess of Space immediately shook her head, denying it vehemently.
"Of course not! Everyone up here lives a much more peaceful life compared to the destruction and mayhem in the mortal world."
She paused, collecting herself. "Everyone has their own responsibilities and duties, and they follow along with them. Clashes like that never happen."
"Not to mention." She continued, her voice growing quieter. "The Heavens themselves and the very universe we govern over would also interfere if such a matter were to happen."
"After all, if gods constantly clashed with one another, the entire world and universe would completely fall into disarray."
"So fights like that are completely forbidden among Goddesses and will never usually happen."
Luca’s eyes narrowed.
"Then what about the so-called entity that clashed with the Goddess of Fertility?" He asked. "Why was she able to do something like that?"
He paused, rephrasing his question.
"No, instead of asking why, I should ask how she was even able to fight with the Goddess of Fertility and not face any consequences from the Heavens."
A look of genuine fear appeared in the Goddess of Space’s eyes. She leaned in even closer, her voice dropping to the barest whisper.
"Because." She finally said, her voice barely audible. "The entity that the Goddess of Fertility fought was something that just could not be comprehended by normal scales."
"After all..."
She looked up at him, her eyes filled with reverence and fear in equal measure.
"...she’s someone who is above the Heavens themselves."
"She is literally the strongest entity in the entire universe."
Luca drew in a sharp breath.
"You mean—" He said slowly. "Like she’s the top of the top? No one can match her at all?!"
The Goddess of Space nodded gravely.
"Even if all of the Goddesses teamed up against her—including myself and my sister—we would be able to do nothing against her at all." She shuddered. "That is how powerful she is."
A heavy sense of pressure seemed to loom over Luca. He had never expected to hear about such a mighty figure—someone who literally ruled over everything, who owned the universe itself.
His curiosity burned brighter than his fear.
"Who exactly is she?" He asked, leaning forward with genuine interest. "Does she have a name? Does she have a domain she rules over?"
He paused, tilting his head. "It seems like every god out there has some domain they control. What domain does she have?"
The Goddess of Space immediately looked conflicted.
Her expression flickered between desire to answer and absolute terror at the consequences.
She knew she should refuse—talking about this taboo topic was completely forbidden.
She had been warned by many other Goddesses to never mention it at all.
But she also felt profoundly guilty for what had happened to Luca. She had failed him, and she desperately wanted to make amends.
She looked around warily, her eyes scanning the void.
Then, with a wave of her hand, she set up a shimmering barrier around them.
But she didn’t seem satisfied with that.
She waved her hand again, and the dimension shifted around them, transporting them to a much darker place—an abyss locked away in some faraway corner of existence.
And then she created another barrier.
And another.
And another.
Luca watched in amazement as she erected at least a dozen shields and restrictions, each one more complex and powerful than the last.
She was terrified that what she was about to say would be overheard and bring down unimaginable consequences.
Only when she had finally finished did she seem to relax.
She looked at Luca with grave, solemn eyes.
"She does not have a name known among the ancients. Nor does she have a proper title, since she doesn’t specifically rule over a certain domain."
"But there is a certain title that everyone calls her by."
She looked at him with such intense solemnity that Luca felt his breath catch and finally said,
"They call her...the Primordial One."
Even just hearing that title made Luca shiver. The name itself seemed to carry weight—a weight that pressed down on his soul and made him feel incredibly small.
The Goddess of Space clutched her own fists tightly, her knuckles white with tension.
"Just like her title suggests..." She continued, her voice trembling. "...she is a being that was born right alongside the very universe itself."
"She is the oldest entity to ever exist."
She paused, her breath coming in short, shallow gasps.
"No one truly knows her responsibilities or why exactly she exists. But what they do know..." Her fingers began to shake. "...is the fact that even the universe itself cannot make her obey it."
"Instead, she has the ability to warp the universe to her own favor. She can completely disregard any rules that bind her, any restrictions that push her away."
She let out an extremely weak, hollow chuckle—one that was clearly forced, driven by sheer terror.
"She can literally do anything she wants and no one can stop her."
Luca sat in stunned silence, his mind racing to process this information.
"Even though we call ourselves Goddesses and Gods." The Goddess of Space continued. "We’re simply beings that have been given responsibility by the greater universe to rule over our certain domains and make sure that the entire world is completely stable."
"But she..." She shook her head slowly. "She is something else entirely."
She leaned forward, her eyes blazing with intensity.
"If you were to think of a True God, one that rules over everything and acts on a whim without caring about anything at all..."
"...she is the only one the title belongs to."
