Sequence Highway Survival: I Upgrade Supplies in the Apocalypse
Chapter 398: Blood Moon Dharma Form
If that was all there was to it, it still wouldn’t live up to the spectacle he had just shown.
On Ding Shen’s massive tail perched that writhing Tangled Crowd.
Black blood streamed down the tail.
“Pain, pain… it hurts!”
“It hurts!!~~~”
“Ding Shen, you finally mean business! You finally mean business!”
“But if that alone were all, I’m afraid it won’t be enough!”
“Not enough!~~~”
The person impaled by the giant tail looked at Ding Shen with eyes full of malice, insanity the only thing inside them.
A cold laugh came from inside Ding Shen’s helmet: “If it’s only like this, then you’re not worthy of being called a Son of the Blood Moon.”
The thick tail flicked, casually hurling the Tangled Crowd away.
The long blade in his hand struck the ground with a chop.
Black blood coated the thick tail.
The Tangled Crowd was flung far, toppling several houses.
At that moment, Ding Shen tilted his head slightly.
He saw a Wooden Figure, moving at incredible speed, slice through where Ding Shen’s head had just been with a hand-chop.
The Wooden Figure’s hand-chop was as sharp as a real blade; decapitating someone was nothing to it.
But two eyes had grown on Ding Shen’s back.
By a hair’s breadth, a mere tilt of the head avoided the fatal strike.
Such battlefield perception could only be rivaled by the Sword Immortal Sequence.
The great blade in his hand moved like a straw, astonishingly flexible, and slipped easily into that Wooden Figure’s chest.
“Ah~~~”
A terrified scream rang out. The Wooden Figure trembled twice, then froze.
The long blade did not stop. Twisting the edge, Ding Shen gripped the hilt with one hand and gently pushed backwards.
Two more Wooden Figures were impaled by the blade.
The blade quivered slightly, and the Wooden Figures shattered into splinters that flew apart.
Ding Shen stood in place and gently closed his eyes.
Of course, if anyone could see through the slit in his helmet.
The instant his eyes closed,
Ding Shen felt at least fifty currents of intent lock onto him.
This was…
The long blade stayed still.
The giant tail flicked lightly.
It smashed a Wooden Figure that had charged almost along the ground into the earth.
In the next breath, the tail swatted away a sneaking Superhuman Pseudo-human.
The moment Ding Shen closed his eyes,
countless Wooden Figures, as if receiving orders, simultaneously turned their heads toward him.
The Wooden Figures’ rule was that they could not move while being watched.
This seemingly simple rule was actually brutal.
No normal person could stare at one thing or target forever.
You always get distracted.
Even if you managed not to break focus for a short time,
you still have to blink.
At the Wooden Figures’ speed,
a single blink might mean losing your head.
But Ding Shen…
The instant he closed his eyes, to the Wooden Figures’ gaze he became like a candle in the dark.
The Wooden Figures moved like a lagging video.
They slipped out of everyone’s sight and rushed toward Ding Shen.
From start to finish he stood still.
Blood flames burned on his body.
The great blade did not move, yet the tail alone kept those Wooden Figures from advancing an inch.
Countless wooden arms, wooden forearms, wooden heads were smashed into pieces.
Only half-bodied Wooden Figures struggled to reattach a nearby wooden limb like a child building blocks, then added a wooden thigh, a wooden head.
In only a few minutes, a brand-new Wooden Figure appeared.
But Ding Shen treated them as if they did not exist, as if he had not seen them.
The long blade did not move; relying solely on the giant tail, he made the Wooden Figures’ attacks useless.
More and more Wooden Figures surged like a tide toward Ding Shen.
Ding Shen was like a giant rock on the shore—no matter how you tried, you could not budge him.
He was waiting…
waiting for the Anomaly Superhuman who had fought him that day because of that letter to appear.
Malformed Giants, the Tangled Crowd, Pseudo-humans, Wooden Figures—these were all powerful Anomalies.
But the one who most concerned Ding Shen was the person who had dueled him that day.
Even now, Ding Shen did not know where that person was hiding.
Chen Ye, while commanding Crawlers to swarm and resisting Anomalies, commented, “It’s faster! At least three times faster.”
Chu Che rubbed his chin, his eyes narrowing into a slit: “Also stronger!”
Chen Ye added, “Seems to have Danger Perception too!”
An angry young man’s voice snapped: “Tsk tsk… Ding Shen, you don’t really think you can just get rid of me that easily, do you?”
An aged, sinister voice said: “Ding Shen, your opponent is me?”
The Tangled Crowd that Ding Shen had flung away rolled rapidly back toward him.
Wherever that mass touched, those beings were fused into a new part of it.
Human or Anomaly alike;
none escaped.
Within mere breaths,
the Tangled Crowd had grown a full circle wider.
It looked like a snowball growing as it rolled.
If it continued like this,
the Tangled Crowd would expand to unimaginable proportions.
The powerful aura radiating from Ding Shen had finally attracted the malformed Giant’s attention.
After swallowing the Death God, the malformed Giant had become even more frenzied.
It promptly tore off its head again to use as a weapon.
Fortunately, it did not appear to be very intelligent, so it was not that difficult to deal with.
Its head, however, was truly terrifying.
Chen Ye saw a Sequence 2 beefcake think his raw strength could contend with the malformed Giant.
He got slammed into the soil by that massive head.
His life or death was unknown.
The malformed Giant wrecked like a destroyer, half of Oasis City’s buildings were demolished by its hands.
Ding Shen stood in the malformed Giant’s path.
Without hesitation, the malformed Giant swung its enormous head like a meteor hammer, smashing toward Ding Shen.
At the same time,
the now-horrifyingly swollen Tangled Crowd drew near.
“Ding Shen…”
Ding Shen’s head paused slightly, as if sensing the impending danger.
He sighed inwardly—had the nail hiding in the dark still not shown up?
If so…
then let it come…
“In the name of the Crimson Moon I call, let the Blood Crown’s ring bear witness…”
“Blood Moon Dharma Form!”
At the last instant when the malformed Giant and the Tangled Crowd attacked, Ding Shen finished chanting the last four words: “Blood Moon Dharma Form.”
Chen Ye’s eyes narrowed a bit.
After those four words were spoken,
an ancient power, as if awakened from the Abyss, strode across millions of light-years from the Blood Moon.
A gigantic hand formed from blood-red light gently grasped the Tangled Crowd.
On the other side, another enormous hand, likewise, snatched the malformed Giant’s downward-smashing brain just in time.
The next moment, a massive figure slowly manifested from within Ding Shen’s body.
Like an ancient god that had slept for tens of millions of years.
