{Inner Sanpaku}

Walking with his three closest followers, Saku and Laban are using flashlights to travel through the dark underwater tunnel with Xaaydagaay and Friend sniffing everything they can press their faces against.

Saku: "With all of the residents being moved to the Demon District, this place is a whole lot quieter."

Not as interested in their surroundings as the rest of her party, Laban shines her light all around.

Laban DaeMon: "Sakiii, why are we walking through this dark, dusty, and dank tunnel?

It smells like ass down here.

Why can’t we just use your powers to get whatever you’re looking for?"

Saku: "I’ve already told you. We shouldn’t be using our abilities unless it’s absolutely necessary. There could be a moment when I need all my energy to pull off multiple abilities at once."

Laban sighs and continues on step for step behind her version of God.

The witch in love takes an inappropriate glance at her Lord’s backside with her flashlight and bites her lower lip.

Laban DaeMon(whispers): "Nice butt, Saki."

Saku: "What?"

Moving her light away, she plays innocent.

Laban DaeMon: "Nothin’!"

Coming to a stop, Saku turns and points his flashlight at a door with printer paper taped to it, and ’Head Hancho’ written in marker.

Using her torch to do the same, Laban scoffs at the sign and shakes her head as the group approaches the closed door.

Unlocked, the division leader opens it with a long creaking echo.

Friend seems to be interested in the echoing noise as his ears perk up and he looks down the dark tunnel.

Xaaydagaay tilts her head looking down the same direction.

Meanwhile, inside Daisuki’s office, Saku seems to be in search of something specific.

In the dark room, the orb of light tracks across the floor, the wall, then the office desk, and finally sitting on the leather chair is a pink and yellow school bag with a smiling piece of pie design on it.

Saku: "Right there!"

Smiling with excitement, he hurries over and grabs the backpack with enthusiasm.

Laban DaeMon: "What’s the big deal? It’s just a kid’s backpack?"

Putting one strap over his shoulder, Saku looks at his DaeMon companion.

Saku: "It’s Princess Kawaii’s.

She’ll be back with us tomorrow, and it seems like from D’s words, Sanpaku’s people won’t be back here anytime soon."

He slightly adjusts his body to show her their recovered prize.

Saku: "So we’ll have all of her toys and clothes for when she’s back with us."

Laban admires him, giving the inspired young man a smile back in return.

Laban DaeMon: "But Saki, that’s only if we defeat Herfjötur and her crew tomorrow. That little pooper of yours is supposed to be the prize for the winner."

The glee fades from Saku’s face and he stares down the doubtful DaeMon.

Saku: "Like I said, ’when she’s back with us’..."

Her admiration grows from the confidence, and Laban gives in, chuckling it off.

Suddenly...

Friend & Xaaydagaay: *BARK!* *BARK!* BARK!*

Curious of their commotion both Saku and Laban move quickly out of the office. They see the animal minded beasts are barking in the same direction of darkness.

Using their flashlights, the two look for anything but don’t see a reason for their behavior.

Being an air breathing mammal herself, Xaaydagaay turns and starts using her human given limbs in an attempt to communicate with her partners using charades.

Xaaydagaay: "*Eiiiek!* *Eiiiek!*"

She puts her hand over her nose and mouth, preventing air flow, while pointing in the direction.

Friend is now circling them whimpering.

Laban DaeMon: "The fuck is wrong with you, Tuna?"

Saku realizes something else is going on with his instinctual animal allies.

He activates his Anjell Eye, and a Yin aura flames out as the chosen Vessel is on full go.

Without the need for a symbiote Eyelien ability, Laban can use her own advanced Valkyrie sense of hearing to pick up the same threat as the beasts.

Laban DaeMon: "Saki, hurry and get your portal ability ready, cuz we need to evac, like now!"

Saku uses the Nye-omnipotency ability to see what his party his freaking out about, and his face is painted in horror.

He stops wasting time and looks at a blank wall, and suddenly a pin hole portal grows at a rapid pace.

From the other side, the tail end of Katsu’s inspiration speech to the room can be heard.

Katsu: "...Because our lives might not be the best of stories, but what matters is us working together for the best possible outcome.

Empty eyes.

Full hearts.

No regrets."

Ruining the sentimental group moment in the room, and scaring everyone (except Shelly) Saku’s panicking shouts come from a portal that was growing on a wall without anybody noticing.

Saku: "We need to get out now!

D, start opening a portal big enough for everyone to escape out of Inner Sanpaku!"

In order through the portal, Friend, Xaaydagaay, Laban, and finally Saku with the cute backpack jumps through as the hole closes behind him.

Side eyeing the intrusive group, Katsu watches with twitching fingers. Ready for his opportunity to act appropriately to what he knows is coming.

Daisuki: "Saku?

Wha-!"

Saku: "No time!

Massive flood coming, open a portal to the outside, now!"

Everyone else paused, still caught by surprise, Laban tries to help convince the unsure room of what is going on as Saku begins creating another portal.

Laban DaeMon: "Listen, I used my ability earlier as saw there was a massive tsunami that hit the mainland of Vinland.

The flood waters reached the opposite end of this tunnel.

I shouldn’t have to explain water displacement for you all to understand how seriousness of a situation this is!"

Shelly jumps up from Aiden’s bed and immediately grabs her recently injured friend with ease, carrying him on her back.

Daisuki looks at Scylia and the tough as nails woman stares back at her love.

Scylia: "I can move perfectly fine.

I trust what the kids are saying. Focus on getting an exit ready for us."

Taking the ’kid’ title to heart despite the situation, Laban snaps back.

Laban DaeMon: "Bitch, I’m older than you."

Saku: "Laban, not now!"

From his second portal, the view of Inner Sanpaku’s lunchroom can be seen.

Sol’s Voice: "That’s the last of the food here, Big Guy. The rest is with the civilians."

Dom: "Damnit, you freaking fat ass!

I only had some peanut butter crackers and fruit snacks!"

Saku sticks his head through the growing hole into a separate part of the tube infrastructure.

Saku: "Guys!

We gotta go, ASAP!

This place is flooding out!" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

On queue, the rumbling and sound of rushing water in the lunchroom begins to confirm the sudden alarm.

Water starts dripping, instantly turning to indoor rain.

Sol: "Come on Big Guy!

We gotta go!"

Dom(thinking): *Shit!

I can’t let these guys know I don’t know how to swim!"

The three run for their division Captain’s portal, large enough for TayTay to duck through.

Now in their designated hospital room the lights and monitors go dark. The only light source is the orange setting sun from the other end of Daisuki’s slowly growing portal.

Once large enough, Shelly perfectly hops through with Aiden and lands on the concrete, just outside the same tunnel entrance.

Daisuki: "Everyone file out calmly!"

Suddenly, the one non-Takamagahara member speaks up, creating more drama than originally realized.

Vinland Medic: "What about my Captain and my crew!?"

Saku looks at the woman and then at his own preoccupied leader. Having difficulty using his own ability compared to the gifted student, Daisuki wincing through the pain.

Daisuki: "Sparring room!

Hurry, they’re in... the deepest part of Inner Sanpaku!"

Charybdis helps his older sister through and watches her land on the dry, safe side. Grabbing the bagged rifle off his shoulder his passes it through to her and looks back at the scene.

Saku begins opening a portal to the room the PoWs are being held, but as soon as he does, saltwater begins leaking in and pours faster the larger the hole grows.

Saku: "Shit!"

Running legs splash through the ankle deep flooding.

Scylia: "Char?!"

Suddenly, rushing in undirected, Charybdis with his IceEye active, a worried purple aura jumps into the growing room leak.

On the other side, he swims through the padded room full of water. Using his own ability to displace water within his vision, he uses large created currents to push out the barely struggling and passed out Vinland soldiers to their safety, one by one. All while creating a seal at the end to prevent less water from leaking in on a surprised Saku’s side.

He watches as coughing, hacking, and vomiting soaked soldiers try to grasp any available oxygen.

The medic who essentially saved them kneels by the side of unconscious allies and starts performing CPR.

Some of the saved, half recovered soldiers work on military instinct, and start assisting their partners in the midst of watery chaos.

Holding his breath, focusing on saving everybody, the selfless Takamagahara member continues using the powers of his physically taxing symbiote. Charybdis’ vision starts fading, but he makes sure the last dark figure is shot out the end of his dying current.

From the view of his IceEye, he sees the view of a beautiful woman with long blood red hair, and yellow eyes, opening her arms to invite him into her embrace.

Char: "Ma...?"

As the airless hero begins involuntary inhaling saltwater, the timid purple aura switches to a bright yellow at the last second through his closed right eyelid, before fading shortly after.
