She Only Cares About Cultivation
Chapter 1155 - 922: Super Star 96 (Five Thousand) Part 2
The fact that reporters caught wind of this, the big celebrity in the fashion circle was instantly flustered. Several people went to Dalis Wu to badmouth Hua Yan, fearing she would collaborate with Hua Yan. Because of this, Dalis didn’t have a particularly good impression of Hua Yan; if it weren’t for Molly’s sake, she wouldn’t have cared at all.
Hua Yan was also self-aware and had never thought about riding on someone else’s popularity or making her presence known.
Thus, in the end, she still chose to stay home and did not go to Shanghai to join the commotion.
Ling Yao and Molly both went, but over here, Hua Yan was already past the Xiao Nian, everyone should be busy preparing for the New Year now, so the filming stopped before the New Year.
Ning Hao went back to the Northeast because F and M’s lives were coming to an end. He rushed back to see them off. Looking back, it’s quite regretful. Though he gained a new lease on life, they spent more time with his parents. In Ning Hao’s middle school years, he had sent off his grandparents, and now even F and M are leaving, his heart must be heavy.
However, over the years they have had several litters of little ones, selling some and giving some away. Last year, they left two behind for Ning Hao, one male and one female, a brother and sister.
Ning Hao asked Hua Yan if she wanted one; if she did, he would bring one back for her, and he’d keep one himself. For their care, he’d have to rent a place off-campus.
Hua Yan thought that she could take care of them when she was home, and if she was on a business trip, she could send them to Ning Hao. After all, raising one or two wouldn’t be much different, so she agreed.
Unexpectedly, this kid returned on the 24th day of Lunar December. When the doorbell rang, Hua Yan was still full of surprise.
"My word, weren’t you in the Northeast? How come you’re back?"
"Grandparents are gone, there’s no point in staying home. F and M have been gone for over ten days. I’ve buried them around Grandparents’ grave to guard them. As for the two little ones, I called a DiDi, paid double the money, and they agreed to drive me back."
Last year, Grandma and Grandpa passed away one after another. Without the elders’ hometown, Ning Hao always feels awkward going back. Although both his uncle and uncle treat him as they did before, it’s ultimately not like being at his own home. So, even though it’s the 24th day of Lunar December, he spared no expense to rush home.
Looking at the pair of Er Ha over a year old, they seemed just like F and M, Hua Yan quickly let them in.
"Since you’ve brought them back, tomorrow we’ll get them registered and vaccinated. Are you really planning on renting a place to keep them? Isn’t that too extravagant? Actually, I came up with a solution today. You could install a camera at home, find a local guy, offer some perks, let him help feed and walk them, and then you can stay at school when busy and come home to look after them when not busy. Couldn’t you do that?"
Actually, there’s no need to keep the dogs, but this is F and M’s last litter. Plus, both of them grew up alone, so the companionship of small animals isn’t a bad thing. Thinking about it this way, Ning Hao indeed found it unnecessary to rent a separate place.
However, the destruction capabilities of an Er Ha should not be underestimated, so all valuable items in the living room need to be moved to the bedroom. Of course, with some time before school begins, Ning Hao has time to figure things out.
"Your scenes will be filmed a few days after the New Year, so during this time you’re responsible for training them to use the toilet. I’ll take a break until you finish training and then bring them to me."
"Alright, you don’t need to worry about this. I’ll take them for a check-up, get them registered, and buy a camera tomorrow. Is your car available? Let me borrow it."
Hua Yan bought a Volvo worth over one hundred thousand, with high safety performance. When she doesn’t have announcements, she drives it herself. She and Ning Hao got their driver’s licenses during the summer when he was nineteen, along with Molly and Ling Yao, hiring a private instructor, completing it within a month.
Molly hasn’t bought a car in Beijing yet because she drives Hua Yan’s when she’s back, same with Ling Yao. He doesn’t own property or a car in Beijing either, as he went abroad right after graduation, and there’s no need to buy one temporarily. Counting and recounting, her car ended up being for everyone’s use, which is good, at least it won’t be left to run out of battery.
After having dinner with Hua Yan, Ning Hao headed back with the dogs due to fatigue, while Hua Yan stayed in front of the TV, watching the live gala tonight.
Their company didn’t arrange a walk on the red carpet, but Molly did walk with the team of Dalis Wu. Initially, no one expected anyone to recognize her in such a setting, but when she appeared, fans unexpectedly shouted her name.
