With all this settled, there was only one thing that was left for me to do. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

"You’re back."

"I’m back."

Rose was about to get out of bed to come over to me, but I quickly went over and had her sit back down.

"I’m fine already."

In truth, she was already fine since I had found the best of the best to cast healing magic on her. However, I still didn’t feel assured which was why I had her stay in bed like this.

"You’ve been through a lot, so the least you can do is relax for a bit like this."

Rose didn’t seem happy about this, but at least she didn’t complain. After all, I had insisted on this and I was still her husband.

At the very least, I was able to get her to listen to me like this.

Though from the way that she hid things behind her pillow, I could tell that she had been secretly working during this time. It wasn’t hard to guess who had given her these things, but there really were too many culprits.

After all, the influence that Rose had in the Kite Kingdom really was great. It was on the same level as the prime minister and the chancellor.

In a way, it could even be said that she was the real shadow ruler.

"That’s right, you should rest. Mom, you were hurt badly, you need to rest."

It was Dorothy who came over with a meal for Rose.

Though she wasn’t that tall, she was carrying that tray that was quite big over. It seemed like she had gathered all of the things that Rose loved to eat just to help her recover.

Rose shook her head seeing this, but she still took the tray and let Dorothy feed her.

After that incident, it seemed like the two of them had gotten even closer. It seemed that by risking her life for Dorothy, there was this wall that had been torn down between them.

That had been the last wall of resistance for Dorothy.

She was acting like a proper willful and filial daughter now.

Before this, there had always been a trace of hesitation that was in her actions even if she had opened her heart. It was as if she was afraid that she would make some kind of mistake and be cast away.

But now that she had seen Rose sacrifice herself for her, there really was nothing left for her to hold back.

Still even if Dorothy acted like a daughter, it was a husband’s place to feed his wife when she was recuperating.

Which was why without any hesitation, I went forward to take the bowl and spoon that Dorothy had been holding. After taking it, I went over to Rose’s side and started feeding her like Dorothy had been doing.

"That’s unfair, dad." Dorothy even puffed out her cheeks as she said this, but I just ignored her as I continued feeding Rose.

There was a smile that was on Rose’s face, but she still ate what I fed her.

It seemed like I still had a place in her heart that this daughter of ours couldn’t take.

During this time, there were others that came into the room with smiles on their faces when they saw this scene. Though after coming into the room, they didn’t hesitate to come over either since they were a part of this family as well.

They came around me and pushed themselves close since it had been a long time since we had actually seen each other.

Adding in the time that it took for me to come back, it really had been quite some time since I’ve last seen them. So these wives of mine were pressed up against me as if they were looking for some kind of charge from me.

All I could do was let them do what they wanted while I continued feeding Rose.

Though after a while, there were just too many of them that were here.

Dorothy took advantage of this chance to seize back the bowl and spoon from me as she went to feed Rose while I was trapped by them. However, it wasn’t as if I could do anything about it since they were also my wives.

In fact, I could see that they were colluding with Dorothy to a certain extent as they exchanged glances with each other.

"I’ve missed you all."

That was all I could say as they pressed themselves up against me like this.

They didn’t say anything since their actions were more than enough to show what they were thinking.

The only reason that they didn’t come sooner was because they had been busy with their different tasks. All of them did hold high positions in the Kite Kingdom and they took care of many different things.

Once they had enough and I was able to move a bit more, I took a better look at all of them.

Even though they had been safe inside of the capital city the entire time, I could see that the stress of the situation had taken its toll on them. They had thought that I was disappeared or was even dead, which definitely wasn’t easy for them.

So for them to see me now was what allowed them to relax.

But it wasn’t as if they could completely relax.

The ones that I was the most worried about were Moon, Ariel, Aisha, and Isra since they were still pregnant. They had been close to going into labour since they had gotten pregnant at around the same time, so I had been afraid that the stress this time would cause them to go into a miscarriage.

However, it seemed like they still took care of themselves, if just to take care of the baby.

Once we all settled, there was something that I had to discuss with them.

"I’ve taken care of the ones that wanted to take out Dorothy."
