"How was it?"

It didn’t seem like they cared at all about the trip that I had just taken to get the answer that they wanted.

Both Aisha and Moon only seemed to care about one thing and one thing only.

It could be said that this was their love as mothers.

Still, I was worried about my children too, so I just told them what Vivrum told me.

Once I was finished, I waited to see what kind of reaction they would give.

Only it didn’t seem like they had a reaction at all.

With the expressions on their faces, it didn’t even seem like they were still processing what they had heard. It was as if they had completely zoned out because of these words.

Even so, I didn’t say anything as I waited for them to say something.

With what I knew about them, I knew that they were going beyond just simply considering what this meant. What they were thinking about now was how they would be able to use this knowledge to plan for the future.

What they were thinking about was what they would be able to do for their children.

After a long silence, Aisha finally said, "We’ll hide it."

I couldn’t help narrowing my eyes when I heard this, but I didn’t say anything since it certainly wouldn’t be as simple as I thought it would be. There was no doubt that there was more to what she was saying than just these words alone.

Only I still couldn’t help looking a bit doubtful because of it.

After a long silence, Aisha finally said, "We’ll just hide a few things before announcing it to the public."

This time, it seemed like Moon nodded in agreement to what Aisha said.

Seeing that the two of them were on the same page like this caused a wry smile to appear on my face. However, this was something that they were planning on their own and didn’t even include me.

As such, I just didn’t say anything while they were planning this.

It was something that technically involved only the royal family of the Elven Kingdom.

However, I could tell that this plan was anything but perfect.

There was no doubt that there would be a period of suffering for the two of them because of the things that they would have to hide.

"It’s my fault..."

That was all that I could think to myself.

When the news came out, there were plenty that were shocked.

The fact that Moon’s child was a high elf was already shocking enough on its own.

Then adding in the fact that Aisha’s child had turned out to not be a high elf, it was even more shocking.

Of course this news being spread started to spark some discussion among the elves of the Elven Kingdom. Many of them were discussing whether or not there was some kind of change in the Elven Royal Family.

Naturally, it was impossible to avoid mentioning me as well.

Since I was the husband to both of them, there were those that pointed the finger of blame at me as well.

I was a human that had married these two and impregnated them, it wasn’t strange that they would think that it was my fault in some way or another that things turned out the way that they did.

Of course, it could have been far worse.

The thing that they chose to hide in the end was the fact that Aisha’s child seemed human.

They used illusion spells of the highest level to hide this so that no one would be able to see through it. Even other high elves would be fooled unless they took the time to carefully look over this child.

This certainly wasn’t something that they were going to do since it would have crossed a line to do something like this.

Which was why the situation calmed down in the end.

It was one thing if the child was still an elf since they didn’t want to cause any trouble while there was still the threat of the forces of Destruction to deal with. For the elves, the forces of Destruction were the more pressing threat to them and had to be dealt with.

For that, they needed the help of the racial alliance and the humans were a large part of the racial alliance. With the influence that I had, they really had no choice but to leave this matter alone for now.

Still, it didn’t feel like it was a good way to end this.

It really felt like there was something wrong with all of this with the way that things were hidden.

But for now, it could be said that this was the best ending...

After this matter was settled, it seemed like everything had gone back to normal in the Elven Kingdom.

It was just that there was this veil that was cast over the entire Elven Royal Family.

Though they acted like they didn’t mind, it was clear that there were thoughts that were in the back of their minds. It was clear that there were things that they found hard to accept, but they couldn’t do anything about.

In the back of my mind, I knew that I would be able to solve this if I were to say something. There was something that I was keeping from them that would have easily solved this.

It was just that I had my own problems with sharing this.

Even if I wanted to share this, it wasn’t something that could be shared that easily.

Which was why I had no choice but to remain silent on the matter.

"Once this passes, then it’ll be fine."

I wasn’t the only one that was thinking this, the others were all thinking the same.

There was nothing that we could do for these children while they were still growing, it was only after they grew up that we would be able to help them.
