"If you keep holding back, I won’t give you any more openings." Percival said without any hesitation.

None of the other heroes said anything, but the looks that they gave Ikki said everything.

It was clear that all of them had seen that he had held back at the very last second.

His hesitation was something that they understood since they had seen him trying to save the kid all these years, but that didn’t mean that they accepted his hesitation.

They all thought that he was a fool for hanging onto this hope for so long.

After all, it was clear that this kid had changed into something completely different at this point. He would have to be delusional to even have hope that he would be able to save him.

Ikki didn’t say anything at first, but then he said with a sigh, "It was a moment of weakness, but it won’t happen again."

There were a few of the heroes that looked at him with doubtful looks, but Percival wasn’t among them. Percival just gave a simple nod before raising his sword in front of him once more.

The kid was more wary of Ikki rather than Percival.

After all, he knew what would have happened if Ikki hadn’t hesitated at the last second.

There was a reason that Percival had let Ikki be the main attacker rather than using Ikki as a distraction.

It was all because of the glow that had appeared around Ikki’s fist when he charged forward.

It wasn’t as if they were the same heroes as before.

With how long that had passed, it was only natural that they would have become stronger.

Ikki was the best example of this as he was now on the same level as Percival.

Actually, in terms of offensive power, Ikki might even be above Percival. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Seeing that Percival was about to release another strike, the kid suddenly waved his hand and gathered more monsters from the black ooze. The numbers that came out showed that he was planning on using a wave tactic to smother them with the monsters.

Only the heroes had caught their breath during this time.

Not to mention that they were no longer holding back since the one that they wanted to bait had been lured out. Which meant that there was no need for them to hold back any longer.

They would settle this here or they would end up falling here.

That was the mentality that they had in this fight.

Seeing that all of the monsters were being tied up, the kid didn’t panic as he pulled out another sword. However, this sword didn’t remain in his hand, it went to a different hand that came out of his back.

It wasn’t just a single hand that came out of his back, there were two hands that came out along with a head.

With his new appearance, it really didn’t seem like this kid was human at all.

It really made him look like some kind of monster.

Ikki took a deep breath and said, "Do it, I won’t hesitate this time. I’ve come to peace with it."

Percival gave a nod before the glow in his sword became even more bright.

That was a sign that he was gathering his power for an even greater attack.

Only it didn’t come out in the way that everyone expected it to.

"Endless Slash." Percival said under his breath before he swung his sword, but there was nothing that was released from it.

When the slash came, it wasn’t just a single slash that appeared.

There were countless lines of light that appeared around the kid in an instant.

All of these slashes came together like some kind of cage around the kid.

The kid didn’t dare move forward to face this cage since he could sense the danger from it, but he also knew that he couldn’t just remain here. After all, there was a reason why Percival had released these slashes to form this cage.

The main attack came from Ikki.

When he punched out this time, the glow that had been around his fist suddenly exploded in flames.

These flames didn’t expand outwards, they were concentrated around the fist he was sending at the kid.

It was clear that these flames were anything but ordinary.

There was nothing that the kid could do other than bring all of his arms in front of him to block this punch.

In the hands that didn’t have weapons were balls of the black ooze that condensed. In the other hands, there were those swords formed from the black ooze.

It really seemed like he was using everything that he had to block this attack.

The problem was that this wasn’t enough to actually block this punch from Ikki.

The flames melted everything that was in front of it and soon hit the kid right in the chest. However, even his body wasn’t enough to block the punch from Ikki that concentrated all of his flames into one point.

When it was over, the kid had been torn in two.

The top part of him flew in one direction and the bottom part of him flew in a different direction.

Ikki stopped once he ripped this kid in two and turned to look at the upper half.

But he was surprised to find that there was a smile on that kid’s face.

It didn’t seem like the kid was bothered at all by the fact that he had been ripped in half.

It almost seemed like this was some kind trap that was being laid by this kid.

Only there was nothing that happened in the end.

"I was able to get revenge on that village, so I’m satisfied. If this is my fate, then I accept it."

All of the heroes couldn’t help frowning when they heard this.

They knew what the kid was referring to.

It was one of the incidents where this kid had reappeared, it was also the last time that he had been seen in public.
