In the Tang Sect’s main hall...

Elders of the Tang Sect including their Sect Master had gathered. On the other side is the family member of the Tan Family which includes the former Sect Ancestors, Tang Yuyi. Just a few days ago, the Du Clan’s master, Du Yaoyi, came with an entourage from both his clan and the fairy race. Tang Sect Master, Tang Yuan said, "The Du Clan’s Master, Du Yaoyi asked our sect to surrender to his Du Clan and gave us a week to think about it."

"Didn’t they already say that if we don’t agree they will exterminate the sect with the authority of the Fairy Queen?!"

"There really isn’t much of a choice. They are forcing us to become their slaves!"

"But what can we do! I heard they’ve sent dozens of God king realm cultivators and even half dozen Quasi-Emperor cultivators! We cannot survive if we resist!"

"It’s better to be a slave and keep living!"

The elders were cleanly split into two groups. One who didn’t want to become a slave and to continue fighting while the other wanted to accept their fate and to survive they are willing to become slaves for the strong. As the debate continues the Tan Clan didn’t get involved themselves. They were actually not worried. So what if the Fairy race comes? Even if they come over, what can they do to them? They only need to find their mistress and they would be safe.

Even if their mistress cannot win, she has lots of connections. This Fairy race was also cursed by her. Would they even dare to make a move on them and anger their Moon Goddess even more? Maybe if they do, the extermination of the fairy race might truly become reality.

Tang Yuyi watches the scene of absurdity and foolishness of her former people. It cannot be blamed on them when they no longer see her as their ancestor. After all, those from her generation are all gone and what was left was a younger generation who didn’t have connection or relationship with her except for her adopted son, Tang Yuan.

Unfortunately, Tang Yuan as the Sect Master is the leader of this group. Even though he wanted to follow all his mother’s words, he cannot. The pressure from the elders and the fact that he cannot simply make a decision of his own was the hardship a leader must bear. On his shoulders was not only his life, but the lives of everyone in the sect. His decision would affect everyone in the sect and one careless mistake might result in their doom.

Tang Yuyi can only watch her foster son holding his temples while listening to the elders of the sect fight. At the side where the Tan Family is staying, the sect actually started to distance themselves from them. The reason for this is because they weren’t surname Tang and the sect doesn’t see them as a part of them.

Tan Shenyu was a bit annoyed by how they are suddenly reacting and worse of it his elder brother cannot do something about it. They could have overpowered them and made them listen but that would only make it awkward for his brother. Because of this reason, their family chose to not be openly involved with the sect.

"If this continues this sect will be gone. Surrendering to the fairy race? Have they forgotten that the fairy race is the enemy of our mistress? Did they want to become our enemies?" Tan Shenyu murmured.

Xue Shuyi said to her husband, "Calm down. For now let’s wait and see."

Tan Huangyu didn’t speak up to back his son and instead looked at his wife and said, "I will side with your decision, Wife. But if they choose to become our mistress’s enemy then... I can only say sorry."

"I know. If they truly choose to accept the Du Clan then... We will leave the Tang Sect and no longer get involved with them," said Tang Yuyi.

Xue Renxue suggests, "How about Bing’er and I find the mistress and ask for her opinion?"

"If the mistress agrees to interfere then we will officially take the sect as someone from our side. If not then... we can only leave and no longer get involved with them," Tan Bingyu said.

The four elders feel that finding the Mistress is the right move. It was already known to them that the Moon Goddess is staying in the nearest town from this sect. They only need to find her there and report about the situation. They can only hope that the mistress has already finished her business so they can stay with her or move to another place.

Tan Huangyu said, "Since this is decided then you two be careful out there. In this place where there are lots of beings stronger than us, we should always be prepared."

"We will take our leave tomorrow and head to the town," said Tan Bingyu.

Meanwhile, the Du Clan who were staying in a nearby town had reserved the whole inn causing chaos within the town. As people from the Outer Haven, they naturally look down on the people of this town. After all, this is the outskirts, a place which is considered a slum area in the eyes of those from the other haven. Moreover, they are protected by cultivators from the Fairy race. Because of this protection, they had become even more arrogant.

Some people from the Du Clan would kick all other people who wanted to enter the inn.

The disciples of the Du Clan were stepping on an old man with a crying little girl beside him. These two just arrived in the town and didn’t know the situation in this place. They come to look for an inn to have a rest only to be kicked out by some young cultivators wearing dark green robes and Du clan’s crest on it.

"Wuwuwu~ Grandpa!" The little girl said as she was hitting the leg of the man stomping on her grandfather. "Go away! Bad person! Villain!"

"Annoying little girl! Let go!"

The evil disciples were laughing at the crying little girl. But as if one of this young disciple was annoyed by the crying and was about to kick the little girl, that everyone who was pretending to blind finally almost failed to hold back.

However, the little girl and the old man were still saved. The three young disciples from the Du Clan were suddenly covered in frost unable to move. They can still move their mouth as their heads weren’t frozen like their bodies. The one who made the move was Tan Bingyu and Xue Renxue who were only passing by this road while trying to sense the aura of their mistress. Who would have thought they would witness such a scene and immediately make a move to save the grandfather and the little girl.

"Little girl, go and feed this pill to your grandfather to heal his wounds," said Tan Bingyu to the little girl.

Xue Renxue also placed the old man to rest on the side of the wall and let him sit up. He had already woken up when the pain lessened.

"Thank you... for saving us," The old man said.

The little girl holding the healing pill from Tan Bingyu said, "Grandpa, eat tangtang!"

Feeling ignored, the captured disciples of the Du Clan shouted at them in rage that they’ve started cursing at them.

"How dare you touch someone from the Du Clan!?"

"We will kill you!"

Upon hearing these threats, Xue Renxue and Tan Bingyu’s eyes turned cold as they stared at these three bastards who were only at Mahayama realm. In the past few months, the two of them successfully broke through the godking realm. This is all thanks to the compensation gifts from the two bigshots, Shen Taiyang and Xing Xieju.

Tan Bingyu said, "Du Clan? You mean that clan who had enslaved themselves under the fairy clan?"
