Evelyn, feeling helpless, continued flipping through her phone contacts.

When she saw Logan Shaw’s number, Evelyn’s eyes lit up.

She suddenly missed Lefty and Righty, wondering how they were doing.

But Logan Shaw must be very busy, right!

He was busy preparing for his concert; it really wouldn’t be good for her to bother him.

After going through her phone contacts, Evelyn realized she couldn’t find anyone to hang out with.

She felt like crying; must she return to Kiki for company?

Why did her life feel so dull?

Thinking it over, Evelyn decided to spend time at the library.

If she stayed home, her summer break would be completely meaningless!

Evelyn spent the afternoon in the library, initially just going there out of boredom, but she ended up getting lost in the books and forgot about the time.

Toward evening, her phone rang.

It was a call from Logan Shaw.

"Evelyn." Logan’s voice was slightly hoarse, "What are you busy with?"

"I’m at the library!" Evelyn replied softly, "Is your concert all ready, just waiting to start? I’m so excited thinking about seeing a concert for the first time in my life!"

"Can you... come out?" Logan asked, "I’d like to invite you to dinner."

Evelyn was taken aback; she could tell Logan was definitely dealing with something.

Without thinking further, she immediately asked, "Where should we meet?"

After Logan chose a place, Evelyn returned her book to its original spot, called Aunt May to inform her she wouldn’t be home for dinner, and headed to the location Logan mentioned.

Logan arrived early at the restaurant, sitting there and treating a pot of tea as if it were alcohol.

His family was so unsupportive of him playing the piano, forcing him to go into business, making him feel very frustrated inside.

After returning to the country, he often went to his mother’s gravesite to talk about his feelings.

He thought, if only his mother were alive, she would definitely support him!

But unfortunately, the family already had a brother who was very business-savvy, and they wanted to cultivate another one like him.

Logan smirked, looking at Evelyn sitting opposite him; his smile deepened.

"You came?" Logan said softly, "Strangely, every time I see you, I feel much better."

Evelyn was stunned, momentarily thinking Logan was drunk.

"Don’t drink anymore." Evelyn took the cup from Logan’s hand, finding it was tea.

"What’s wrong?" Evelyn asked softly.

She had known Logan for so long and had never seen this side of him!

Even earlier, when he told her Shannon Dunn rejected his confession, his expression was normal.

"It’s nothing." Logan shook his head, "What do you want to eat? Order whatever you like. It’s okay, just pick anything!"

"What’s really going on?" Evelyn asked, a bit anxious, "Is there some problem with the concert?"

Logan’s breath caught, his face turned sullen, then he smiled casually and shook his head.

Seeing Logan’s expression, Evelyn knew it must be about the concert.

Up to this point, Logan cared most about this concert.

But hadn’t he said earlier that everything was handled and there were no issues?

Why were new problems popping up now?

"Order some food." Logan suggested to change the subject, "Evelyn, how have you been doing lately? With Caden Lockwood... are you two... still okay?"

Hearing Logan’s question, Evelyn’s gaze also dimmed.

Logan really was hitting her sore spot!

Logan’s brow furrowed, urgently asking, "Did he bully you?"
